When Kelly Killoren Bensimon gets asked if she had liposuction, she laughs “yeah, I would have it — if you could pay for it.”
In reality, the Real Housewives of NYC star jokes about her secret for tight abs: “Holding them in.”
But that’s not the whole truth.
“I’m a lean girl to begin with,” she says. “I always have been. I was a competitive swimmer, and I don’t do much. I eat well, I sleep a lot and I run. I’m a healthy person.”
She continues, “If you eat well, you sleep well and drink a lot of water, you can shift your metabolism. When people are like ‘I’m on this diet and I haven’t eaten in three days,’ well, your body is in starvation mode, so I never miss a meal. Maybe one meal I’ll have a salad, and maybe I’ll have pasta later. I figure it out if there’s ever an issue. I’m not a big food person.”
Although it may make her fellow Housewives scoff, she maintains a philosophy.
“I like to eat well, but eating well and living well is the best revenge. It’s just having a good time.”
What does she look for in a man?
“I’m looking for a nice guy,” she confesses. “I’m shy and picky. I have two gorgeous kids. I don’t want to go out with some guy to go out with some guy. It has to be someone special. And it’s in public.”
Kelly is very sweet. She actually sent me a thank-you note that reads “Valerie, Thank you for the great article. I am grateful for your support. [heart] Kelly,” written in purplish-pink marker, on her personalized stationary, when her Last Word interview appeared in OK! a few weeks ago. Aww.
When we talked about it during the Target Party For Good: Making Meals To Feed Young Minds event to benefit the Food Bank For New York City, she said “When you do something nice for me, I’m flattered. Thank you.” She’s awesome.

Jill and Alex still avoid each other
Post from OK magazine about Jill and Alex steering clear of each other at the Hamptons Open House.
“I can tell you that you can see at this party that we are not talking to each other,” Alex explained to OK!. “We’re giving each other a wide berth.”

What Would the Countess Do?: Staying Fresh; Throwing Summer Soirées
Author: LuAnn de Lesseps
When it comes to etiquette, manners and overall good behavior, even celebrities need help navigating the rough waters of stardom! It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week she weighs in on how to stay fresh in the summer and throwing the perfect summer soirée.
WHAT WOULD THE COUNTESS DO? POLITICS PLUS HOLLYWOOD; RUDE GUESTS
As the temperatures heat up, how do you keep your cool while still looking your best? When throwing a summer soirée, what can you offer guests to keep them comfortable?
It’s hard to stay looking fresh at summer parties when the temperature soars and the humidity rises. To stay cool while looking glamorous, I wear caftans and sundresses with a Pucci scarf to tie back my hair. Big, fun sunglasses and sandals complete my look. I use a self-tanner and Chanel Bronzing Powder for a sun-kissed look. Pureness Oil Control Blotting Paper from Shiseido keeps my skin looking fresh all day.
WHAT WOULD THE COUNTESS DO? AGE IMMATURITY; DATING WITH CHILDREN
To make my guests as comfortable as possible, I adopt a very casual entertaining style during the summer and love to host barbecues and buffet style dinners so people can sit where they like. A good hostess makes sure that her guests stay as cool as possible when entertaining on hot days. I serve cold water, ice tea, light cocktails and dry Rose from Provence. White wine spritzers are great because they hydrate more than intoxicate. Instead of hot, heavy foods, I serve light hors d’oeuvres, salads, and chicken or fish. For dessert, I top a scoop of vanilla ice cream with mixed berries.
WHAT WOULD THE COUNTESS DO? FREEDOM TO TWEET: THE PRINCE WILLIAM EFFECT
Tip: Keep entertaining casual during the hot summer months. Less is more, especially in the summer.

Camille- RHOBH dumped by phone
Post from Show Biz Spy.
KELSEY Grammer allegedly dumped his wife over the phone.
The Frasier star, 55, called Camille Donatacci over a month ago to tell her he “was done” with their 13 year marriage.
Camille filed for divorce earlier this month, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
“Kelsey was so cold,” a source told New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“He told her it was over and he wanted to see other people, but still asked her to be at the Tonys. She stayed at the London Hotel, and in public they acted like a couple, but he wouldn’t let her in his apartment, or discuss a reconciliation.
“Some friends say he changed after he moved to New York five months ago.
“He started hanging out late with a new crowd after the show, and became more distanced from Camille. He was living the single life.”

This is the first bunch of several funny videos and photos from my crazy fun afternoon this past Saturday with Kim Granatell of "Real Housewives of N.J."
We cruised around town in her $400,000 Ferrari after we first met in town at Starbucks, next to the salon where it all started, for some iced tea, then back to her house. We talked about everything from soup to nuts (literally).
She told me that she trims her own bushes so of course I had my photographer catch a few shots of her with her giant clippers.
Enjoy the rest!

Alexis-RHOOC should listen to her own advice
Post from OC Weekly.
By Matt Coker
We told you here how The Real Housewives of Orange County reality spouse Alexis Bellino and her husband nearly lost their twin baby girls to the Balboa Bay Club pool Fourth of July weekend.
The Bellinos and their kids grace the July cover of OC Parenting Magazine, and one hard-hitting question thrown at the Mrs. was: "The Bay Club is a great place for kids isn't it?"
Her shocking answer after the jump . . .
"In the summer it's our hang out. The kids can swim in the kiddie pool or we can take them over to the big pool and a lot of our friends are there with their young children so it's always a great, safe time with people, you know."
As told in our previous post, TMZ heard from BBC security guards who claimed the Bellinos were preoccupied when the stroller the toddlers were in rolled into the pool, causing a guard to jump in to save one and Mr. Bellino to enter the drink to fetch the other (something he denies, it should be noted).
You can read the full parenting interview here--in case you want to know what not to do.
Meanwhile, the Weekly often hears from authors, doctors and other wanna-be newsmakers offering their reactions to some catastrophic event. Government agencies also offer their expertise when there's fire danger, extreme weather or other phenomena they believe warrants communicating with the public.
Well, atter our post on the near-drowning of the Bellino kids at the ritzy Bay Club went up, we heard from a PR representative for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) .
"I read recent media coverage of the non fatal submersion of twin two-year-old girls in a public swimming pool in Newport Beach on Sunday," began the email from Teresa Valerio Parrot of Washington, D.C.-based Widmeyer Communications.
"This tragic situation provides an opportunity for public awareness on water safety," she continued, "and we encourage you to follow-up on coverage of this incident to provide a teachable moment for your audience."
She was pitching coverage of the CPSC's new educational campaign with the clever name "Pool Safety" that is aimed at reducing the 300 childhood pool deaths that happen annually in this country. (If that floats your boat--or offspring--go to poolsafely.gov, @PoolSafely on Twitter, flickr.com/photos/PoolSafely and/or youtube.com/PoolSafely.)
Parrot also passed along the contact information for Margery LaRue, safety director with the American Red Cross Orange County (714-481-5350 or oc-redcross.org/).
Sounds like we've got an angle for your follow-up interview, OC Parenting Magazine.

Is Kelly nuts?
Post from Reality Tea about Kelly's sanity.
Very slow news day folks, so bringing you some more Kelly Bensimon news. Below is an article written about the Real Housewives of New York City star that sheds a little more light on this KKB character.
The story was printed in the June 17th issue of InTouch magazine:
Kelly Bensimon Is Just As “Batty” As She Seems On TV
When Real Housewives of New York City’s resident airhead Kelly Bensimon hired a nanny in 2009 to watch her children Sea, 12, and Teddy, 10, her neighbors weren’t shy about alerting the new employee to what she’d signed up for. “They said, ‘You’re the fourth person in the last six months to work for her,’” claims the former nanny, adding that she thinks that Kelly is “crazy” and says she’s seen her start her day by spiking her coffee with Patrón tequila.
Meanwhile, Kelly continues to spend her time on twitterville posting nonsense and for some strange reason, replying to every negative tweet she receives. She literally spends all day, 7 days a week, replying to negative comments from fans of the show. Below are some recent tweets from her, all posted within the last 12 hours alone.
Kelly on the Mel Gibson’s racist audio tape rants –
Kelly - “Watching Today show and Mel Gibson. Who should we believe?”
Fan - “@kikilet U should believe da tapes u idiot! Mel is a racist. Da sooner he admits it the faster we can move on!”
Kelly - “its not my job to judge the personal lives of people. We have courtrooms for that.”
Kelly replying to a fan who was actually being nice to her -
Fan - “Just saw that @kikilet’s daughter is on Twitter. I know how we all feel about Kelly but I’m hoping every1 is being respectful to her CHILD.”
Kelly - “i know you feel betrayed by BRAVO.i am only human. please move forward. i am bored with the ‘breakthrough’. i filmed 3 days later.”
Kelly on her twitter name kikilet:
“my twitter name is ‘kiki’ azzedine alaia,a. French designer gave me the name. So it’s little kiki.”
Other random tweets by Kelly -
“i love twitter, but we need to empower each other. my followers are smart, witty, and cool. we dont succumb to mean. why should we?”
“bravo hired me for my authenticity, integrity, honesty, and legitimacy. whatever works for them works for me.”
“you got it. I am just authentic. I am not going to be fake for popularity, sorry. I am human. hiiii.”
“bullying is a constant I love u, I hate u, I love u. Where have u seen that exhibited?”
So umm yeah.

Did Bethenny diss her parents in People?
Post from Babble.com
Posted by Lulu and Moxleys Mom
I just finished reading the new PEOPLE magazine with Bethenny Frankel on the cover in which she details her tragic childhood and levels some pretty awful claims about her parents, legendary horse trainer Bobby Frankel and Bernadette Frankel Parisella. Frankel’s mother was able to respond to her daughter’s allegations, but Frankel’s father died last year, leaving him unable to defend himself. And I just wonder, is it okay that Frankel bashed her parents so publicly, especially given one is deceased and unable to respond? Following are some of Frankel’s allegations, and her mother’s response, where she basically calls her daughter a liar.
–Her father would have nothing further to do with her after her mother accused him of withholding money. “He said, “I”m washing my hands of the whole thing,’” Frankel says.
–Her mother was a bulimic and Frankel would have to clean up her mother’s vomit with her mother saying, “Don’t tell your father.”
–Her mother abused alcohol (she “was always drinking”) and was “extremely volatile… “There was a lot of destruction, alcohol abuse, eating disorders and violent fights.”
–She briefly lived with her father in Los Angeles but her father was into drugs and young girls. “I never watched cartoons, I was always at restaurants and the racetrack.”
–After heated arguments between her mother and step-father, John Parisella, during which she would hide in the closet or call police, she’s hear her them making up in the bedroom. “It would make me so angry. It would kill me.”
–Her father still rebuffed her while on his death bed. “I didn’t exist to him.”
–She hasn’t spoken to her mother in more than 10 years and doesn’t plan to. She says: “I’m never going to to want her in my daughter’s life” and “I don’t want her to contact us and make it toxic.”
When contacted by PEOPLE, Frankel’s mother admitted that domestic fights sometimes led to the police being called but denied having an eating disorder or a problem with alcohol. Frankel’s step-father, who has been divorced from Frankel’s mother for over two decades, seemed to back up Frankel’s version, saying Bernadette “showed signs of bulimia” and drank heavily.
Listen, I had a great childhood and have no beefs with my parents. But even if I did and I was famous, I don’t think I’d level them publicly. Granted, that’s easy for me to say given I have no complaints about my upbringing. My guess is everything Frankel says is true, but is airing it to the world the right thing to do? What do you think?

Ramona at Parrish Art Museum
From the Wall Street Journal Online. Ramona attended the Parrish Art Museum's Midsummer Party, the party was at the museum which is in the center of Southampton Village.
Ramona Singer, one of the looser cannons on "The Real Housewives of New York," was listening to Mr. Browne with her husband, Mario, and a few friends. She was wearing a skin-tight cobalt-blue gown. "For Oceana," Ms. Singer explained. "And look—I wore my blue jewelry, too." She showed off a turquoise ring and a cuff bracelet.
"This is $200," Ms. Singer said of the bracelet. "This is for the women who want to have a red-carpet look but don't want to spend a million dollars. I copy my own pieces, pieces that I get from places like Buccellati. I make them less expensive. But they're not trendy. They're timeless. They won't go out of style. These are pieces that you can pass along to your child. And they last. They're made of rhodium, which is an alloy of platinum."
Ms. Singer's attention was drawn away from her own baubles to the Ocean of Plastic mural. What did she think of it?
."I think it's phenomenal. Fabulous," said Ms. Singer, "Kids are so talented."

Camille Grammer- RHOBH wanted out of her marriage
Article from the National Ledger.
Kelsey Grammer and his estranged wife had been “discussing separation for some time” before she filed for divorce. The actor confirmed his third wife Camille Donatacci, who is a former Playboy model, had completed paperwork to end their marriage last week. The pair wed in 1997 and have children Mason, eight, and five-year-old Jude together.
Since the news broke there have been a number of reports about the split, but Kelsey insists it was simply a case of the pair growing apart. “Camille and I had been discussing the possibility of a separation for some time before all this happened. She finally decided she should file. I respect her for this decision… I hope to have a great partnership with her in the raising of our children,” he wrote on his website kelseylive.com.
Last week, it was claimed the couple parted ways after Kelsey failed to call his kids on Father’s Day. Kelsey has been starring in Broadway production La Cage aux Folles, so was away from his family, who live in Los Angeles, on the special day. The 53-year-old has dismissed the report.
“The truth is I did call my kids that evening,” he wrote. “Frankly, I was surprised that they did not call me in the morning but I was thousands of miles away and working that day so I didn't give it a second thought. I called them to see how they were doing as I do almost every night at around the same time, 11pm my time, 8pm their time, just before they go to bed.
“Mason had been upset earlier that day because she was missing me. I spoke to her for some time and reassured her that I loved her and that I would be seeing her soon."
Another report stated Kelsey had been seen enjoying an intimate dinner with a young blonde woman in New York. He found the story amusing – the woman in question was his 26-year-old daughter Spencer, from his first marriage.
“I do take issue with the characterization that we were smooching but surely if that were the case then even I admit it might be newsworthy in some fashion,” he joked.

Jacqueline's reaction to Posche show
Post from Absurd to Sublime.
After a two week hiatus, The Real Housewives of New Jersey will air on Monday, July 12. We will be treated to an out of control Ashley Holmes pulling the extensions out of Danielle Staub’s hair, various bodyguards shoving people around, police action, and excuses, excuses, excuses. Ashley, the daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, saw the episode last Tuesday. She tweeted an explosive:
WOW THE NEW EPISODE IS BULLSHIT.. F*CK EDITING. I’M OVER IT…SO DONE WITH THIS.
She deleted this shortly thereafter, but not before the damage was done. Careful Ashley, Bravo is allowing you, for some unfathomable reason, to blog on their official website.
The problem with all of them, Teresa Giudice, who instigated the fight, Jacqueline Laurita with her passive aggression and Ashley Holmes, is that they are so obsessed with hating Danielle Staub and wanting everyone else to hate her they have lost their focus, to entertain us, not disgust us. Now that they have seen the episode, spin control is in high gear. They continue to attack Danielle. Here’s a portion of Jacqueline Laurita’s Bravo blog:
In fact, once people saw the show, people from a certain someone’s past kept trying to reach out to us through the Internet to warn us and tell us things about her past. There was no researching Danielle except for Googling her different aliases once we saw “the book” because we wanted to know who this person really was that has entered our lives. It’s common sense people. How earth would anyone know to research a book mentioning Beverly Merrill when we never even knew that name existed? Makes sense doesn’t it? I was also the only one who gave her the respect by confronting her about it face to face when nobody else would, so I could give her the chance to explain things herself but she just looked me in the face and LIED. I didn’t know that then, but I DO NOW. There are court documents and people from her past, one who has even passed a credible five hour video taped lie detector test to back it all up.
Oh really Jacqueline? Didn’t your family seek out Kevin Maher and Charles Kipp to get the inside dirt?
After a two week hiatus, The Real Housewives of New Jersey will air on Monday, July 12. We will be treated to an out of control Ashley Holmes pulling the extensions out of Danielle Staub’s hair, various bodyguards shoving people around, police action, and excuses, excuses, excuses. Ashley, the daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, saw the episode last Tuesday. She tweeted an explosive:

Christine Stuab hired by Tavi
Post from Styleite.com
by:Ruthie Friedlander
Danielle Staub, the villainous vixen on Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey was devastated when her daughter, Christine, fell ill during her first runway show. While standing in line with the other models at the Rebecca Minkoff show at New York Fashion Week, Christine felt faint and was escorted off the runway.
Such a devastating occurrence would be traumatic for any young model, but Christine’s moment of weakness was broadcast on national television. Ouch. Would Christine model ever again? Would her bad-itude paired with her less than smooth runway debut stunt her modeling career?
Success is often measured by the people that have faith in you. And lucky enough for Christine, in addition to being insanely gorgeous, some people still have faith her in. And Tavi Gevinson is one of those people.
Fashion critics everywhere have been anxiously awaiting to see what the fate of fashion blogger Tavi will be. It was recently announced that she will be styling her very first photo shoot for Black Book magazine’s September issue. After the first choice model — Chloë Sevigny — backed out due to scheduling conflicts, Tavi thought long and hard about a replacement. Finally, she and Black Book settled on Christine for the ten-page editorial.
Leave it to Tavi to throw us for a loop. We figured she would choose some sort of obscure, odd-looking androgynous model. Not a more obviously stunning reality television cast member. But even Tavi’s pretentious eye was able to look past Christine’s mother, her shaky start, and see her potential. We’re just keeping our fingers crossed for some behind the scenes footage of this one.

Camille-RHOBH cheated on Kelsey
Article from YAZM.com about Camille/Kelsey divorce.
We’ve been looking for the scandal in Kelsey Grammer’s divorce and the worst we’ve heard up to now is that he didn’t call his kids on Father’s Day, which he denies and which isn’t that bad anyway. (The kids should call their dad if he’s away on Father’s Day.) While People Magazine insists this week that “no third party is involved,” Star has some good dirt about an (alleged) affair that Kelsey’s 41 year-old wife, Camille, had with a 20-something guy she met in Hawaii. To make matters worse, Camille has a taste for designer goods and refused to stop spending when times got tough and Kelsey’s TV career stalled.
When Kelsey Grammer left Los Angeles to star in La Cage Aux Folles on Broadway last spring, he didn’t leave his wife Camille Donatacci pining for him. According to a source close to the family, the former Playboy model - who filed for divorce on July 1 citing “irreconcilable differences” - was too busy having a torrid affair with a twentysomething hunk.
Camille, 41, fell hard for the hottie, whom she met when he was working in a restaurant near the Grammers’ Hawaiian home, claims the source. “She had the audacity to bring him to L.A. and sleep with him in their house there. She was caught in the act, and when Kelsey found out, he was beside himself!”
There were other problems in the nearly 13-year union, which produced a daughter, Mason, 8, and a son, Jude, 5, both born to a surrogate mother. Camille, who is seeking spousal support and primary physical custody of the kids, loved to drop loads of Kelsey’s money, a habit that continued unchecked even after his last TV show, Hank, was canceled in 2009 after five episodes. “With Camille, everything is Tiffany this or Gucci that. Kelsey asked her to slow down with the spending, but she wouldn’t listen,” says a source, noting that the 55-year-old actor, who suffered a heart attack in 2008, was also hit hard by the real estate crash.
“Kelsey isn’t broke, but he isn’t superwealthy anymore,” says another source. “I don’t think Camille liked their new, more budgeted lifestyle. They had been fighting a lot.”
[From Star Magazine, print edition, July 19, 2010]
Assuming this is true, it’s ripe that an older woman who can’t stop spending money would chose to cheat with a young guy who works at a restaurant. At least Kelsey can assume that Camille isn’t going to leave him for a broke waiter. Was she going to try and keep her fling secret?
The National Enquirer has a different account of the demise of Kelsey’s marriage, and they chalk it up to Kelsey’s work commitments and Camille’s ambition to become famous as part of the cast of the upcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They also put Kelsey’s fortune at $120 million! They quote a source who says “He was always hard at work on a new show or play, and she got wrapped up in her own life as a celebrity wife in California… He learned to keep his personal life quiet [after legal and addiction issues earlier in his career] And he feels that Camille’s ‘Real Housewives’ role couldn’t be more ill-timed and will be at his expense. He’s absolutely furious that the divorce is about to be played out on reality TV.” I doubt we’ll see much of this drama on Real Housewives, but it will surely increase ratings regardless. If Kelsey is furious, he isn’t showing it. His last blog entry on his divorce was very thoughtful and classy.

Teresa Late Again
Post from Patchogue Patch.
By Jessie Biele
Reality television star Teresa Giudice of Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey, made a fashionably late appearance to Dublin Deck's Ladies Night on Thursday.
Giudice may be best known for her outburst during the show's Season 1 finale, when she flipped a table in a New Jersey restaurant. Since then, the breakout reality star has given birth to daughter Audriana, made numerous media appearances, and has been at odds with the show's super-villain Danielle Staub. In addition, Guidice has recently released a cookbook, "Skinny Italian."
Fans sipped free Bud Lights and waited by the stage for hours to catch a glimpse of Giudice, who was slated to make an appearance at 11 p.m. and was fashionably late, much to the dismay of some fans who waited nearly 3 hours.
"I'm excited to meet her," said Johanna Prentki of Bayport.
Added her friend Casey Minardi of Patchogue, "I want to see Theresa. It's like a nice event, it's summer, it's ladies night, and everyone looks nice."
"You would assume she'd go to a high class place in Manhattan or the Hamptons," remarked a fan of the Real Housewives series who traveled from Nassau County. "She's a wholesome girl for coming to this town."
When Giudice finally appeared on stage at 12:15 a.m. in a sparkly tank top, she was met with cheers and loud applause from fans. Fans crowded around the stage to try to get a photo of her with their BlackBerrys and iPhones. Giudice and her entourage popped a bottle of champagne as fans lined up to chat with her.
"She's sexy as hell," said Rose from Blue Point, who posed for photos with the star. "She's your typical Jersey girl, so down to earth and enthusiastic."

Kelly wants an upgraded class for RHONY
From Babble.
Posted by Lulu and Moxleys Mom
Bravo executives take note! Kelly Bensimon said she might agree to Real Housewives of New York City Season 4 “if they upgrade the cast to REAL New York A-list women.” Coming from a woman arrested for punching a boyfriend… A-list indeed! She also shared via Twitter her view on who should star on reality tv programs:
“reality tv should be about REAL people, not fabricated reality stars. its a bad example for women. i want people to aspire to greatness” and she wishes “they’d show the real me. kids, dogs, horses, creativity, charity, and hard work doesn”t sell. people like fighting.”
Bensimon’s Tweet about returning to RHONY comes soon after Bethenny Frankel declared that “NBC doesn’t have enough money” to convince her to star alongside Bensimon and former BFF Jill Zarin. (Who ironically are now all cozy.) Bensimon also had something to say about motherhood:
“Being a great mom isn’t a job, its the ultimate luxury. never confuse the two.” This was in response to a follower noting that being a mom is a hard job / hard work. If you really want to experience Kelly in her element visit her Twitter page. Take an aspirin (or something stronger) first.

Teresa Book Signing
From Livingston Patch.
By Heather Hodder
It was an event any fan of The Real Housewives of New Jersey could enjoy. On Thursday night, Teresa Giudice of the hit reality show mixed fashion and food at Livingston's Shoe Inn boutique as part of a book signing stop for her cookbook "Skinny Italian."
Even before Giudice arrived at 5 p.m. at the swanky Shoe Inn, many teenage girls and mostly adult women arrived early to beat the line. Being early was no bother, as patrons were offered a glass of wine and munched on snacks of cheese and crackers, fresh fruit and vegetables while perusing the store's wide selection of shoes.
When Giudice arrived, the chatter continued as she dished about her favorite recipes and the show.
What's Teresa's favorite recipe in Skinny Italian, some wondered?
"My favorite recipe is Tagliatelle," said Giudice of the pasta, which she makes "skinny" by using ham and peas. "It was my mother's recipe," said Giudice.
Many of the recipes in Giudice's cookbook have been made on the show already, such as her recipe for "Linguine with White Clam Sauce" that appears in the book as "Luscious Linguine with Manila Clams." Giudice says the cookbook is a mix of her family's traditional Italian dishes and her own health-conscious ones like the "Zucchini Spaghetti Salad."
On an upcoming episode, the cookbook itself will make an appearance, according to Giudice, when she introduces the book to the cast of Real Housewives. Giudice is also looking forward to watching the episodes where the cast went to Italy, including a trip to Salerno, the city where her parents lived before immigrating to the United States.
"My girls love to cook with me," said Giudice, adding, "I think it's good to cook with your family, it's a family bonding time."
Her stop in Livingston is part of a larger tour.
"I was in New York on Tuesday and the store ran out of copies before the book signing was over," said Giudice. Interest in New Jersey, the show's setting, is perhaps even more evident. Over a hundred books were sold at Shoe Inn's event alone.
The stop coincided with a trunk show of "Chez by Cheryl" handbags, with the designer Cheryl Lawinski on-site, too. Many of the "Chez by Cheryl" handbags are worn on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Giudice herself has been seen on many episodes with the bags and accessorized her outfit with a handbag from the new fall line.
For two hours, Giudice signed copies of Skinny Italian and posed for pictures with fans. Even though the book was being sold at Shoe Inn, some shoppers came prepared.
"I purchased the book at The Barnes & Noble before I came over here," said Alexa Centrella from Ridgewood. "I was really worried they would sell out and I wouldn't be able to get a signed copy!"
For Michelle Centrella, Alexa's sister, this would not be her first time meeting the Housewives star.
"I went to her book signing in Denville. She was so nice!" said Michelle Centrella.
Longtime fans of the show looked at the book signing as a great opportunity to meet a member of the Housewives cast.
"I'm very faithful to the show and I read all the blogs" said Danielle Delguercio, from West Caldwell, who purchased a copy of the book at the store and got her picture taken with Giudice.
The staff of Shoe Inn was just as excited as the fans.
"Ever since I knew Teresa would be coming, I've recorded the episodes on my DVR to watch again," said Kathleen McCormack, manager at the boutique. McCormack said she had bought a copy of the book and is going to try some of the recipes.
Billy Lawson, owner of the chain of Shoe Inn stores, also came out to the Livingston event. Lawson, who has been the owner for 38 years, was glad the event had brought a great turn out to the store.
"This event has brought new customers in to see who we are and what we're about," said Lawson, who added that one of the Shoe Inn locations will appear on an episode of the show this September.
Teresa Giudice's next book signing will be at Sizzle Tans in Parsippany. Since May, Giudice has been going to over 20 book signings a month. She will continue to appear at book signings in the tri-state area throughout the summer and into fall. A full list of Giudice's upcoming appearances can be found at www.EntertainMeLLC.com.

Recap BGM July 8th
From Hollywood Gossip.
by Hilton Hater
Granted, Bethenny Frankel got married months ago. She's even had a daughter and given an in-depth magazine interview about motherhood since then.
But Bravo took us back in time last night on Bethenny Getting Married and showed us this reality star's wedding to Jason Hoppy. As always, our THG correspondent is here to review the episode in detail...
The wedding day is here! Down at The Four Seasons, wedding planner Shawn is going full-tilt boogie trying to get everything ready. You know he’s serious because he’s wearing a headset and fast walking.
He has that look of extreme fear on his face that has become very familiar to us as we’ve watched him throw this high-end shotgun wedding together whilst being hounded by the pickiest bride on the planet. We know this look most likely won’t go away until he closes the limo door after the wedding and watches Bethenny and Jason drive off into the sunset.
Meanwhile, back at home, Bethenny is getting ready for her wedding and simultaneously editing her new book. She accomplishes the book, to her great relief and then Teri, the Maid of Honor, comes over wearing another really bad shirt. Carol, Jason’s mom, also pops by. She gives Bethenny a very sweet gift of a locket with mini pictures of Bethenny and Jason.
Bethenny promptly pins this locket to her underwear.
Bethenny’s hair and makeup pros arrive to gussy her up. A photography team from Oprah’s magazine is there to document this part of the process. You’ve got to wonder what Jason’s mom is thinking about all this celebrity hoo-ha. If she’s overwhelmed, you’d never know it - she acts very cool.
Outside the Four Seasons are paparazzi and a security team. Once inside, Bethenny is thrilled with how everything looks. “It’s gorgeous. I’m so excited. It’s perfect,” Bethenny sighs. Shawn looks like he expected Bethenny to beat him over the head with a silver serving tray and you know the poor guy must almost be pissing himself with relief that she is not only satisfied, but actually happy!
Elsewhere, Jason is dead-set on having a drank before the blessed event and sends Shawn off on this errand. “Can you believe it’s here?” he asks his Best Man about the wedding day. A second passes in silence.
“Where is Shawn with those drinks?!” Jason asks, his voice tight with anticipation. He wipes his sweaty brow. I can understand why he is so worked up—a new wife, a new reality show, and a new baby all at once. I’d be sweaty and dying to get drunk too.
Behind the scenes, Bethenny is finishing getting ready and putting on her wedding dress. She is convinced that her pregnant belly has grown significantly and terrified the dress won’t fit. Maid of honor Teri attempts to be helpful but seems a little tipsy - or maybe totally smashed.
“Okay,” she slurs to Bethenny, “I have to say something about the Chinese astrological chart.”
“Teri!” Bethenny interrupts, “take a breath. You’re making everyone mad. You need to relax. Teri is just a little bit of a loose cannon right now. My Maid of Honor has come unglued.” Bethenny then begs Teri to “be calm” a few more times.
“Oh my god! It fits!” Bethenny cries once her wedding dress is hoisted into place. She really does look gorgeous. But then disaster strikes: She has to go to the bathroom and no toilet is easily accessible. Shawn makes the executive decision that Bethenny will pee into a silver champagne bucket. He’s not as thrilled about this prospect as he’s making it look. He tells us, “Outside I was like, ‘Sure whatever you want, sweetie.’ Inside I was like, ‘whuuuuttt?’”
As Bethenny squats over the bucket, her assistant (who is located very near Bethenny’s crotch) says, “Oh my god, Bethenny. Are we really doing this?” Shawn is still experiencing severe discomfort. “So I lift the dress up and I realized at that moment that I was inches away from her cooch looch,” he says. Bethenny requires silence and a finger in a champagne glass full of water in order to pee. Poor Shawn is going to have a serious case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after this shindig has wrapped.
While this pee party is going on, wedding guests are arriving. That Hoda woman from “The Today Show” is there and chatting with Ramona. Alex comes dressed like Marie Antoinette at a funeral. Or maybe like the woman in charge of the haunted house I went to this past Halloween. Or maybe like Helena Bonham Carter in “Sweeny Todd.” Or maybe just like Helena Bonham Carter in normal, everyday life.
I don’t know. You decide.
Shawn helps Bethenny make her way down a rather tight hallway to where the wedding will take place. As he follows the bride and keeps her wedding dress safely hoisted above the filthy floor, Shawn has a look on his face like he is handling active dynamite. I can’t blame him. Can you imagine what Bethenny would have said and done if one speck of dirt got on her dress? Shawn would definitely not have survived.
They swing open the doors to the assembled guests and wedding party and Bethenny comes walking in. “Wow,” says Jason, his teary eyes fixed on his bride. They recite their vows, “You fill my heart with so much joy, happiness, and love,” Jason tells Bethenny.
“I waited my whole life for you,” Bethenny tells Jason. “The sum of us is greater than the parts. This is the best moment of my entire life, right now.”
The cocktail hour is in full-swing after the wedding ceremony while Shawn is frantically transforming the wedding room into the reception room. Jason and Bethenny have their first dance and we are all crossing our fingers that Ramona will break out in the signature full-body jerking that she calls “dancing.”
Next, Jason and Bethenny go to cut the much-discussed and worried-over red velvet cake and Shawn looks like he’s grinding his teeth down to nubs with trepidation. What if she doesn’t like it?! She’s threatened to rip his balls off! Luckily Bethenny loves it. “She loved the cake and I knew my job was done,” says Shawn. Now he can go home, down an entire bottle of Xanax with a jug of vodka, and curl up in bed for the next six months to recuperate.
As the evening progresses, the party gets a little wild. On the dance floor there’s kickboxing, the Electric Slide, someone doing the worm, another someone walking on his hands, full-on swing dancing…and yet Ramona keeps it calm! Whhhyyyy, Ramona?! One kooky dance for old time’s sake, pretty please?
Then, some dudes jump in the pool and start playing with the silver balls floating there. Bethenny attempts to feign anger but in the end decides it’s all in good fun.
At the end of the night the newlyweds hop in the limo and head off to their honeymoon in St. Bart’s. Bethenny was gorgeous, Jason was handsome, the wedding was beautiful, and no doubt their honeymoon will be lovely. The only thing I missed seeing was Shawn collapsing on the sidewalk as the limo sped off.
Congrats, Shawn, you’re done! Oh, and congrats, Jason and Bethenny too!

Alexis Bellino talks about what happened on the 4th.
Post from Alexis's blog about the pool incident.
A Note from Alexis...
July 4th Incident:
I am choosing to comment on the July 4th story that is being told because it is inaccurate and has been spun out of control by the media. The only way for the truth to be told is for me to tell it myself.
On Sunday, July 4th, my family was leaving the Balboa Bay Club swimming pool in the late afternoon. As we were leaving, I turned to say goodbye. Our girls were in their stroller and I thought I had put the brake on, but apparently I didn't. My husband, Jim, and I were both standing close to the stroller. Within seconds, the stroller had rolled towards the pool and a stroller wheel rolled off the edge of the pool. Before either of us could grab the stroller, a second wheel rolled off the edge, and the stroller went into the pool. Of course, Jim instantly went into the pool. He grabbed of the girls himself and lifted both of them out of the water. Because the girls were not strapped into the stroller, and Jim was right there, their heads did not even go under water.
While we are not making light of this incident, and have been reminded to never take our eyes off the children for even a second when near water, it has been so hurtful to know how this experience has been mischaracterized in the media. To all of you who have offered your support, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Who Checks the background of the RH cast?
Post from Babble about the questionable personalities Bravo casts.
Posted by MaraLee
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: Normal people are boooooring. Acting like a regular person is a snoozefest. Nobody wants to watch well mannered people sitting around watching American Idol. Zzzzzzz. As we learned from MTV’s The Real World, one of the first forays into reality television, the good stuff happens when people stop being polite.
But there is an off-kilter inappropriate personality and then there is crazy and dangerous, or Kelly Bensimon and Danielle Staub, respectively. So far nothing too serious has occurred, aside from a few cops called. But truly, the only people murdered have been a few gummy bears. So far…
What happened to background checks? Apparently, instead of having a criminal record discount you from casting, it ensures your spot. As Anna David of The Daily Beast points out, Danielle was a stripper and escort, arrested for kidnapping and drug possession, and continuously brings criminals like Danny Provenzano around her cast mates. I get that they are trying to fill the void Sopranos left with a real life version (theory), but c’mon Andy Cohen, you are willfully endangering your employees.
His response: “Look, they’re not living together. We talk to their families. We try to be as responsible as we possibly can.”
Oh Snap, Andy! Good one. Nice. Let’s hope the judge at the trial when Danielle ‘offs’ someone buys that defense. Let’s just hope it’s not little Gia who gets in the way as 19 year old Ashley runs off with pieces of hair extensions flowing in the wind behind her.
And while that’s irresponsible (to say the least), the case of Kelly Bensimon moves into the inhumane. It’s basically taking someone with severe mental problems, placing them in a bubble with environmental factors known to increase and exacerbate their sickness, and selling tickets to the fun fest. Everybody pull up a seat to see what will happen? Who wants to enter the poll of when she’ll completely crack? This woman has children!
Plenty of commenters have left messages on various boards pleading with Bravo to get her help, but none is coming. That wouldn’t make good TV.
The question is: When does it end? The newest cast, DC, includes the couple who crashed the White House! That’s about as wrong as you can get! Disaster would actually be great ratings, so it’s not stopping with that. Sadly, it’s probably going to take boycotting the show.

Real Housewives trashy?
Article from The Daily Beast.
by Anna David
Of course she has no love for them, either. On Dina Manzo's recently shown departure from Real Housewives of New Jersey, which Dina told Us Weekly was “99.9 percent … because of Danielle,” Danielle asks rhetorically, “Like she was such a big part of it? It’s like, ‘Dina, nobody missed you. Your own husband won’t do any show with you.’”
Adding none too subtly to the rumors about Dina’s custody battles, Staub says, “You know how my daughters are legally allowed to do the show? Because my ex signed a contract saying that they could.” (When I ask whether she knew for a fact that Dina’s ex had refused to sign such a contract, a Bravo rep that was on the line chimed in that the topic was off-limits.)
Clearly, caring about what topics others feel are off-limits is not a concern of Staub’s. Of the two Kims—boutique owner Kim D. and pot stirrer Kim G. (both seemingly batty, both seemingly devoted to betraying Staub, both seemingly doing everything in their power to land regular roles on the show): “They’re meaningless. They’re insignificant to me. They’re opportunists.” On Jacqueline Laurita and her tweet that Staub had leaked her own sex tape: “Here’s what I have to say to her: Why don’t you tweet about your babies instead of focusing on me? Why don’t you pay attention to your kids and stop drinking wine at three in the afternoon and driving drunk? You have a daughter who’s acting out: pay attention to that.”
Staub saves the kind words for others—like her “Real Close” songwriter and rumored lesbian lover Lori Michaels (about that relationship, Staub says, “I’m going to keep people on the edges of their seats about that a little longer”). And for Danny Provenzano, a fellow ex-con she says she met in the last year or two at a Queen Latifah charity softball event, who, on the show, she has brought along as “security” several times because she seemingly sometimes thinks she’s on The Sopranos. She also adores Cohen. “Andy is brilliant!” she raves. “He was very touched by [her “Real Close” performance on WWHL]. He has so much energy but it calmed him to a place where he was really immobilized.”
While one wouldn’t imagine that Staub brings Cohen calmness, immobilization isn’t so difficult to conjure up. Yet he insists that Staub isn’t diminishing the Bravo brand. “She’s certainly unique in terms of the Real Housewives franchise because she’s independent and dominant and has a strong point of view,” he says when I inquire about it. When I ask whether Bravo might have hesitated to cast Staub had they known everything about her ahead of time, Cohen sounds weary. “That would be a total speculation,” he says. “You really can’t tell with hindsight.”

Luann on Broadway?
Blurb from AMNY.com.
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps heading to Broadway?!
By Julie Gordon
Is LuAnn de Lesseps going from a “Real Housewife” to a real star? (Sorry, ladies.)
The Countess recently had a lunch meeting at Theater District restaurant Bond 45 with with Duncan Stewart, the casting director for “Chicago” on Broadway, a source told us.
If anything comes of the powwow, we seriously hope the “Money Can’t Buy You Class” singer will take voice lessons before hitting the stage.

Danielle not into men anymore?
From In Touch Weekly, Danielle talks about Lauri and men.
She refuses to define her sexuality, but Danielle Staub seemed to confirm rumors of her romance with singer/songwriter Lori Michaels to In Touch at The Sorcerer’s Apprentice premiere in New York. “I can say that people are reading between the lines, and pictures don’t lie. In all honesty, I don’t care much for men. Let’s leave it at that,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star said at the July 6 event. The reality queen, who has been spotted snuggling up to Lori all over New York, couldn’t stop gushing about her new galpal. “I’m very happy. I really am. She is a big part of my soul, and we share a lot of chemistry together,” she said. When asked for advice on dating members of the same sex, Danielle, a divorcée with two young daughters, says to always follow your heart. “Whatever makes you happy, do it, and don’t listen to anybody else that tells you different," she says. "It’s no one’s life but your own.”

Video at iVillage of Bethenny
Click HERE to see a short video of Bethenny talk about HW and babysitter choices. In the article below are some highlights
Though Bethenny Frankel is the star of Bethenny Getting Married?, which documents her March 28 wedding and the birth of her now-2-month-old daughter Bryn, it's her husband Jason Hoppy who has become quite the fan sensation with the Bravo reality show's female audience. "Next season of my show will probably be called Bethenny's Getting Arrested for killing one of the women that are coming after my husband for finding out how perfect he is," Frankel quipped in an exclusive interview with iVillage. "Then he'll have to raise my child because I'll be in jail."
Three weeks after giving birth to her daughter, the 39-year-old Frankel posed in a size-4 bathing suit for Us Weekly magazine. And she caught flack for how quickly she dropped her baby weight. Frankel, however, is unapologetic about the criticism. "I love that my weight is an international scandal now," she says sarcastically.
And after a season of drama on The Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel tells iVillage that there "isn't enough money" to pay her to continue starring on the show with current castmates Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin, with whom she had an epic feud. And as for that emotional hug between Frankel and Zarin that ended the Housewives three-part reunion special? Frankel says that although her husband and fellow Housewife Alex McCord weren't convinced about Zarin's sincerity, she was "kinda buying into it. And when Jill asked if she could give me a hug, it was really more for her than it was for me. But we're not friends. We don't have anything to do with each other."
Watch our exclusive video above to find out which Housewife Frankel would choose as her No. 1 babysitter, if the reality star thinks she was a bridezilla, and who she'd cast in an all-star edition of Real Housewives.

Bethenny talks to The Insider
Bethenny did a short interview with The Insider, here are a few highlights.
The Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel comes to "The Insider" to talk about her new baby, losing the pregnancy weight and her troubled past, saying she was a victim of childhood abuse.
On the cover this week's People magazine, on stands Friday, the new mom says her baby saved her life and helped turn around a troubled past.
She's speaking out now, she says, because "women are afraid to talk about things." She wants to open a dialogue in an effort to help herself heal and inspire others to deal with abuse in their lives.
As a child, she says her home life was marred with alcoholism and abuse. Rather than repeat that pattern with her own family, she says she aims to turn it into a positive. "Some people go the other way, some people recreate their childhood," she says. "There are many ways to skin a cat...believe me I could have gone the other way so many times."
One way she turned her painful childhood around was focusing on her health. Raised by a mother she claims abused alcohol and battled an eating disorder, "I turned it into a positive by becoming a chef," she says.
Now, speaking out is "a way to break the chain," Bethenny tells "The Insider." "I want to make it a little bit easier for [my daughter] Bryn."
Newborn Bryn is bringing her great joy. "It's so wonderful to become pregnant later in life and become a mom," she says. "I appreciate it so much more because it almost didn't happen."
Plus, now that she's arrived she adds, "I can finally have a Skinny Girl margarita!"
As for losing the baby weight, "Everyone's looking for some big giant secret," she says. "I was healthy before, during and after...it gradually comes off. I wasn't obsessed during pregnancy. You have to keep your act together while you're pregnant."
