Steve Files A Lawsuit Against Danielle-RHONJ

From The Daily Record.

Photo: Bravo

By ELIZBETH SAUCHELLI
A lawsuit was filed in Morris County against "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Danielle Staub by her former boyfriend Stephen Zalewski, who accuses Staub of making false statements that he "recorded her in sexual acts without her knowledge or consent."

"There's an episode that aired amount a month ago where, essentially, Danielle is telling a bunch of people that Steve had made tapes of her engaging in various sexual activities without her knowledge or consent," said Zalewski's attorney Nace Naumoski. "All the tapes were made with her knowledge and her consent. Most of the tapes were made by her and sent to him."

Staub's attorney, Bob Cherry, declined to comment.

Zalewski said he began dating Staub in May 2008. Their relationship ended in December 2008, before Staub appeared on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" in Spring 2009.

Naumoski said that Zalewski, a Lincoln Park resident, has video messages and e-mails that Staub sent to him.

"She knows perfectly well that he did not make the tapes without her knowledge or consent," Naumoski said. "When and if the case the goes to trial we'll be able to prove that she made statements in the past that she had knowledge of the tapes."

Zalewski is suing Staub for defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment and punitive damages. The case was filed through the Superior Court of New Jersey in Morris County.

"First of all there's the fact that the things that she's saying he did are actually crimes in New Jersey. That's a third degree crime in New Jersey," Naumoski said. "She's essentially calling him a criminal while in reality...she made the tapes."

Zalewski said that the satatements caused harm to his "reputation and well-being." Naumoski said that his client's construction business may have been hurt by Staub's statements.

"I think that as the case goes to trial and proceeds that his business also dropped off by the harm done to his reputation by Ms. Staub's statements," Naumoski said.

In the lawsuit, Zalewski said that during his relationship with Staub, she "recorded herself engaging in various sexual acts by herself and with Plaintiff." Zalewski also claims that Staub sent the videos to him from a cell phone as video messages and e-mails.

Zalewski said once their relationship ended, Staub began telling mutual friends, as well as various media outlets, that he recorded her without her consent. He also said that she made statements on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" about it. In each count of the lawsuit, Zalewski is seeking the award of compensatory damages, punitive damages, cost of suit, attorneys' fees, injuctive relief and "such other relief as the court deems just and equitable."

Danielle-RHONJ An American Idol Judge?

Post from Hollywood Life.com.

Now that the SHOCKING American Idol news is out of the bag, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub thinks she’s exactly what the Fox reality show needs!

Danielle Staub wants to be your judge America! The New Jersey reality star loves being a housewife, author, mom, and aspiring popstar, but she wants to add one more thing to her list — American Idol judge! We spoke to The Real Housewives of New Jersey star today, July 30, about the shocking news that Ellen DeGeneres quit AI AND that Kara DioGuardi was FIRED. The author of The Naked Truth had a surprising revelation for HollywoodLife.com!

“I would love to be a judge on American Idol,” exclaims Danielle. “I could replace Kara! I’d be the perfect fit!”

We already know Danielle has a “don’t hold back” attitude on her Bravo reality series and this is why she firmly believes she’d bring a lot to the judging table.

“I’ll tell it like it is and you might not like or what what I’m going to say,” says Danielle. “I’m not going to be as gentle as Kara but not as critical as Simon. I’ll come from a real place, this is reality … I will love to give people chances but I’m going to keep it real at all costs. I’ll add an element of surprise and shock for sure!”

Danielle just released her single “Real Close” with well known music producer and girlfriend Lori Michaels, and hopes this will help land the AI gig.

“I’ve learned so much through this process of recording “Real Close”,” she says. “The live performances are exhilarating, I can see why people give up everything just to sing and perform.”

As for Ellen leaving the show, Danielle completely stands behind the newest Idol member, Jennifer Lopez.

“Even though Ellen is one of my favorite people in the entire universe, I think JLo is the suitable fit,” she says. “She’s sexy, hot, and Latina, she can bring that vibe that has been lacking, she’ll bring a whole new element to American Idol.”

Danielle is set to appear on Ryan Seacret’s radio show, August 2, so maybe she can convince the Idol host to make her dreams a reality!

Lisa Wu Hartwell And Bravo Parted Amicably

Post from Reality TV World.

Lisa Wu Hartwell confirms 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' departure
By Reality TV World staff
Lisa Wu Hartwell has confirmed that she will be leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta during the Bravo reality series' upcoming third season.

"She doesn't want to just be a reality star," her publicist Carlos Scott told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Thursday, adding that Hartwell and the network have mutually decided not to reveal any additional details about her third-season involvement.

Hartwell has recently produced a fitness DVD and landed acting roles on Meet the Browns and an upcoming Robert Downey Jr. film, according to Scott. In addition, she also appears in Black Ball, an upcoming film, and recently released "When The Cake Is Already Made," her first book.

Bravo renewed The Real Housewives of Atlanta in January and announced Hartwell, Kim Zolciak, Kandi Burruss, NeNe Leakes, and Sheree Whitfield would all be returning for the third season -- which began filming this spring and will premiere later this year -- in early March, but reports of Hartwell's departure have circulated since shortly after Bravo's announcement.

In late March, Jonathan Jaxson, Zolciak's former publicist, said entertainment attorney Phaedra Parks would be joining the show and Hartwell would be leaving because she lives 40 minutes outside of Atlanta, which had apparently become a problem for the show's production.

However, according to a Tuesday report on AOL's Black Voices website, Hartwell parted with Bravo "amicably" due to "creative differences."

"They basically wanted to script elements of Lisa's life and make her amp up the drama. She wasn't with that at all. Lisa felt like if her real life alone wasn't enough for the network, then maybe it was time for her to go," a source close the production told the website.

Hartwell will reportedly be part of "as many as three" episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta's third season but will not be included in the season's opening credits or promotional photos.

"The part where the ladies hold the peaches when the show opens up, she didn't participate in that shoot," the Black Voices source said.

In addition to Parks, former model Cynthia Bailey has also been previously reported to be joining the show's third season.

Hartwell -- who is married to NFL player Ed Hartwell and the ex-wife of R&B singer Keith Sweat -- is the second The Real Housewives of Atlanta star to leave the show.

Last year, DeShawn Snow didn't return for the reality show's second season after the network allegedly concluded she was too boring for TV.

"[A producer] said that I was 'too human for a circus show' and that because the show did so well, they are about to pump up the drama and they didn't think that I would fit in," Snow said at the time. Snow was subsequently replaced by Burruss.

Stacie Turner Hopes To Bring Attention To Her Charity On The RHODC

Q&A from Express Night Out.

Breathlessly waiting for Bravo's Aug. 5 debut of "The Real Housewives of Washington D.C."? Then you know who not to root for (battery-acid blond state dinner crasher Michaele Salahi) when the catfight starts. You may even realize that one star (Brit Catherine Ommanney) snogged Prince Harry. But D.C.'s "Wives" offers something rarer than a quiet moment from Bethenny Frankel: a genuinely nice heroine in Stacie Turner, a real estate agent and charity fixture. So, what's she's doing with these publicity, um, hounds?

» EXPRESS: Why'd you sign up to do this?

» TURNER: I was leery! I couldn't imagine my life being on display. But I thought it'd bring visibility to my business and charity [foster-care assistance program Extra-Ordinary Life].

» EXPRESS: What's the D.C. social scene like?

» TURNER: Here, we have politics, which doesn't have a role in the other shows. Also, D.C. is diverse, and has international flair and a racial mix. The city has really taken off in the past couple of years.

» EXPRESS: You seem to have nice friends already. What happened when you brought these women around?

» TURNER: It just expanded the circle. That's one of the cool things about D.C. There are just so many circles you can move in and out of.

» EXPRESS: Including the White House?

» TURNER: There's a misconception that the show revolves around the Salahis and the White House. People will see drama because we go interesting places and have unusual experiences.

» EXPRESS: So there's no Barack-spotting on the show?

» TURNER: No, but you'll see his influence. The Obamas have made the White House cool. It helps to have a fashionable first lady.

» EXPRESS: But Michelle doesn't seem to shop in D.C.! You do. Any fave boutiques?

» TURNER: I love Hu's Wear (2906 M St. NW; 202-342-2020) — just everything there, plus the shoe store across the street [Hu's Shoes, 3005 M St. NW; 202-342-0202]. I also like to shop in Baltimore at Vasarri (1636 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville; 410-415-6333). It's in the middle of a strip mall, but it has awesome cocktail clothes.

» EXPRESS: What about restaurants?

» TURNER: Ben's Chili Bowl is one of my hangouts (1213 U St. NW; 202-667-0909). I also like Oya (777 9th St. NW; 202-393-1400) because I love sushi, and it has a sexy bar.

» EXPRESS: As a real estate agent, you must know what the new hot D.C. neighborhood is. Where should I buy a condo?

» TURNER: The hottest place right now is NoMa, like the H Street NE corridor between 11th and 13th streets. They're going to get a trolley car system, and it's going to be a cool extension of Capitol Hill.

» EXPRESS: What about your own house?

» TURNER: My husband and I love to renovate houses, and our house used to be a church. It was a complete hovel, but now it's cool.

Lauri's-RHOOC Son Gets 90 Days In Jail

Post from Chicago Now.

By: jenn sale
Yeah... you don't want to piss of the judge. They tend to throw the book at you when you do. Don't get released on your own recognizance, then fail to show up for a hearing.

So over last weekend it was reported that Josh Waring, troubled son of former OC housewife Lauri Waring -Peterson, was picked up on a probation violation regarding a domestic violence conviction he received last year. He was held without bond until he saw a judge Tuesday.

According to the Orange County Circuit Clerk (look at me being investigative journalist!), Waring plead guilty to one count of violating a term of his probation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and 3 years of probation.

Wow.

Waring had recently completed 30 days in the slammer for possession.

No comment from Lauri, but obviously this kid is on his own, because court documents state he's had a public defender appointed in almost all of his criminal cases. Lauri is said to be in NYC with fellow OC castmates Lynn Curtin and Gretchen Rossi as Rossi prepares to release a new handbag line at a flea market in Soho Shop NBC. There is a buzz from a few reliable sources (NOT Tweetmaxine, puh-lease) that Lauri has signed a limited filming contract with daughter Ashley for this season to help her daughter's fledgling acting career.

I though Ashley had a skincare line? What about the OC Air Angels?

Anyway, back to Josh. He'll probably have to serve most of his sentence, unlike Lindsay Lohan because that's how they do it in the OC on probation violations. Hopefully this will be the wake up call he needs to turn his life around. Maybe his mom will at least send him a little cash to buy some chips off the commissary when she gets back.

Kelly Training For Her Marathon

Article From Competitor.com.

Photo: Reality TV star Kelly Bensimon, center, runs with professional triathlon twins Laurel and Rebeccah Wassner in Central Park recently.

Star of Real Housewives of NYC brings a taste of the Big Apple to the Chicago Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon.
Written by: Sarah W. Flynn

The Real Housewives of New York City star Kelly Killoren Bensimon may be better known for racking up tabloid headlines than racking up miles, but that’s not stopping her from hitting the streets of the Windy City this weekend for the Rock ‘n‘Roll Chicago Half Marathon benefiting the American Cancer Society. And who better to guide her through some pre-race prep than fellow New Yorkers—and professional triathletes—Laurel and Rebeccah Wassner?

The trio met in Central Park just days before Bensimon toes the line on Sunday as part of a star-studded celebrity lineup (Giuliana Rancic of E! News and former Bachelor Jake Pavelka, amongst others, are also slated to run). The 42-year-old model and writer gleaned tips from the Wassner twins, which touched on everything from when to eat a gel pack (“about halfway through,” advised Rebeccah) to finish line poses (Laurel suggested to “make sure to finish with a smile.”)

After taking her through their typical pre-race drills, the Wassners led Bensimon on a three-mile loop of the park, dodging photographers eager to snap a shot of the paparazzi-magnet. The chatty, chipper mom of two spoke of her excitement about returning to her home state (she grew up in Rockford, Ill.) as well as her hopes to inspire her fans—including 40,000 followers on Twitter—to get off the couch, turn off the TV, and get running.

“Just 20 minutes of fresh air clears my thoughts, makes my problems seem more manageable, and life more fun,” she said. “I want to motivate other people to just put on their sneakers and go.”

Speaking of fun, Bensimon plans to have lots of it on Sunday, despite getting a late jump on training (“I only started about three weeks ago,” she admitted, “but I went out for a nine-miler last week and it felt great.). And she’s confident she’ll have no problem reaching the finish line on Sunday.

“It’ll be the easiest 13 miles I’ve ever ran,” said Bensimon. “Running in a race that benefits a charity is an incredible experience. Anytime you do something for someone else, you feel better.”

The RHODC Are Getting Attention

Post from Zap2It.

By Jay Bobbin
Thanks to a couple's alleged White House party crashing, awareness of a new series was huge long before its debut.

However, Bravo wants it known -- as do the purported crashers, not surprisingly -- that "The Real Housewives of DC" is about other women besides Michaele Salahi. The latest entry in the "Real Housewives" franchise premieres Thursday, Aug. 5, and it takes some time for it to get to the much-reported incident at Washington's 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. (which didn't happen until filming was nearly completed).

Photo:Bravo
After so much time being linked to the show without any of it ready to be seen, self-proclaimed "hugger" Salahi says she and her husband, Tareq, are "really excited for the whole world to see it, and to show the nation's capital and the great diversity in these five women. We're all very strong, different personalities … and I'm excited for people just to see who I am.

"There's been a lot of miscommunication, and the media has had fun with how they want us to be, but I know Bravo will highlight the way I really am."

And yes, four other D.C. "Housewives" also get big attention in the series. They are Mary Schmidt Amons, a charity event organizer and the granddaughter of media legend Arthur Godfrey; modeling agency chief Lynda Erkiletian; Catherine Ashley Ommanney, a British interior designer and ex-flame of Prince Harry who separated from her husband after the "Real Housewives" episodes were shot; and real estate agent Stacie Scott Turner.

"I'm one of those people who kind of tells it like it is," Turner claims. "If you ask my friends, that's what they'll say about me, so if I'm portrayed that way, great!"

As with the other new "Housewives," Turner inevitably tells it like it is about the Salahis, at least from her standpoint: "They're very nice people, and I don't want to pass judgment on what they did, but that's just part of their reality. They really believe they were invited to that event, so that's part of their life, and that's what the show portrays."

Bravo programming executive Andy Cohen -- also the host of the network's program "Watch What Happens Live" -- maintains there was no thought of eliminating Salahi from "The Real Housewives of DC" after the White House controversy erupted, in large part because so much footage of her already was in the can.

"It was my fantasy that we would have housewives fighting about politics," he explains, "and certainly, that's one of the things that comes up in the show. The other theme that brought us to Washington was the idea that social clout is measured there not by money but by proximity to political power. Little did we realize how much we would be on that theme with the incident last November."

Danielle's Opinion of Caroline and Jill Hanging Out

Post from Hollywood Life.

Photo:Getty
If Danielle knows one thing, it’s the importance of being real! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is tired of everyone pretending to be BFFs, especially Jill and Caroline!

Danielle Staub tells it like it is! We asked Danielle what she thought about the budding friendship between The Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin and New Jersey star Caroline Manzo, and let’s just say Danielle made her point in just a few words.

“I guess congrats are in order?!” Danielle told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “I want Jill to be happy and have good people surrounding her. Jill is amazing and has always been very kind to me and has reached out to me on several occassions in good and bad times … we’ve shared a lot.”

We broke the news that Jill and Caroline were partying together in the Hamptons on July 24 at London Jewelers for the Brittny Gastineau Tres Glam trunk show.

“Caroline and Jill were inseparable,” says our insider. “Dina [Manzo] had rented a house for the entire week, but her big sis Caroline opted to stay with Jill!”

We were shocked to hear about the new friendship and needless to say so was Danielle!

“I had no idea they spoke but congratulations,” says Danielle. “Jill is actually very wonderful.”

Bethenny's Blog On Being A Mom

Bethenny's last blog for People on motherhood.

Photo: Brian Doben
Thanks to Bethenny Frankel — best-selling author, creator of the Skinnygirl Margarita and star of both The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny Getting Married? — for sharing the highs and lows of motherhood with us this month.

In her final blog for PEOPLE Moms & Babies, the reality star – who is mom to 11-week-old daughter Bryn Casey with husband Jason Hoppy – tells us what she’s learned in her first few months as a parent.

Hey PEOPLE people!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read about the daily moments in my life. Marriage and motherhood have been such incredible gifts that it has been so easy to share with you. Plus, I learn so much from your questions, comments and opinions and value every minute of it all.
Truthfully, Jason and I had absolutely no clue about what to do with our daughter Bryn when we brought her home. The baby nurse was a godsend because she really taught us everything we needed to know.

Every day there are new things to learn, but the “Dos and Don’ts” have changed since we were babies, i.e. putting a baby on their stomach and safety pins in diapers. Still, for all you new moms, here are a few lessons I did learn…

THE ESSENTIALS: At first Bryn’s nursery was bare, but little did I know that a baby could sleep in a shoebox if necessary. They do nothing but poop and sleep! So a bassinet was all we needed at first. (You don’t need a crib for several weeks.) Eventually, the nursery was all put together and is so beautiful (thanks to Bellini — they were so helpful!!).

The only essential thing a new parent needs is a place to change the baby’s diapers. We used a shelf to change her for a few weeks. Don’t stress on that.

BREASTFEEDING: Bryn now sleeps for 4-hour intervals (6 if we’re lucky), and I have been breastfeeding. That has been the greatest challenge and reward. It is something you don’t have to be extreme about and don’t need to be pressured about either. However, it’s very healthy and a gift that only you can give your baby. I would have regretted not doing it.

PETS: The idea of integrating our dog Cookie into Bryn’s life and vice versa was overwhelming and anxiety-producing even just to think about. I had a feeling Cookie would be good about it, and indeed she has been great. She has been so calm and gentle with Bryn. However, she has been hyper vigilant with everyone else though, which presents a new problem. It never ends does it?

All in all, I’ve never been happier. Jason and I love our little family and are grateful for that every day. It really made us the people we were meant to be yet didn’t know we could be.

Xo,

– Bethenny Frankel

Dina-RHONJ Coming Back?

Post from Babble.

Photo:Bravo
Posted by SunnyChanel
If you thought you’d seen the last of ex-Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Dina Manzo, think again. Dina left the show a couple months ago because that “very troubled lady” Danielle Staub. But it looks like Dina isn’t totally avoiding the limelight but purely just avoiding her nemesis Danielle. It turns out that it looks like Dina may just be doing some filming with the Housewives, but not just with her peeps from New Jersey but with…the housewives of Orange County!

Dina tweeted that “fun dinner with our crew & OC’s Gretchen, Laurie & their men. Very nice people! Another long day tomorrow in the city~top secret ; )”

But perhaps I could just be getting your hopes up. Maybe she meant “crew” as in her friends and family? Caroline and Jacqueline were at the dinner. And In a tweet from Gretchen, it looks like Andy Cohen showed up to dinner too. And also she was seen with Lauri of Orange County who left that franchise a while ago. Maybe they’re doing some kind of spin off? It’s apparently “top secret” so who knows!

Also Gretchen spent time with another New Jersey girl, she hung out with Ashley Holmes, Jacqueline’s daughter, Gretchen saying “so nice to meet her! Glad we got to play!”

Do you miss Dina, are you looking forward to her return in whatever form?

Ashley Holmes
Hey everyone! I'm going to say now, this blog is going to be a little boring I think. I'm soo tired right now. I don't feel like saying too much.

OK, where do I begin? How cute is the Giudice family? I love them. I loved it when Gabriella told Joe that he should buy Teresa flowers and chocolates for their anniversary. SO PRECIOUS! They are all mini-Teresas! They are Daddy's girls for sure. P.S. Who else is super jealous of the ring Teresa got?

Jillian, I doubt you are reading this, but I just wanted to tell you way to go hun! You did such a good job, and you don't need to worry about anyone "judging" or "not liking" you. Forget them if they do. You're talented and young, the world is yours for the taking. Keep it up! xo.

How many of you felt bad for Jillian in that scene of her with her mom? Isn't Danielle scary? I felt so bad for Jillian, she looked like she needed a hug. I'm glad Danielle isn't my mother. I hope her kids realize what kind of person their mother is before it's too late for them. Christine is beautiful, and Jillian is talented. Neither daughter inherited those traits from their mother. They don't need her, they have their dad and step mom. I hope they get away as fast as they can. That's just my opinion though. I am definitely praying for them.

I love my cousins. They're so funny, especially when they are together. The way they play off of each other is so great. I loved watching the scene in the gym. I felt so bad for Albie! HAHA! But it was a funny scene.

As for the sweet sixteen scene, WOW, so much I could say about this and their prior scene together. However, I'm not even going to get into it. If people haven't caught on by now that Danielle is a pathological liar, they're probably just as "lost" as she is. That's all I have to say about that.

In the scene where I went to pick up my summons with my mom, there's no need to tell me, I KNOW I LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT. I blame some of it on editing, the rest was just me being immature. I wasn't excited for court, obviously. I didn't even remember saying that, HA! To quote my Aunt Caroline's blog:

"As reality show participants we have the unique opportunity to view ourselves from the outside looking in. I'm hoping that Ashley will look at her behavior along with her attitude towards Jacqueline and make a conscious effort to move in a positive direction."

Caroline is absolutely correct. Since we last filmed, I have grown a lot as a person. I still make mistakes along the way, but I definitely learn from them. Every time I watch an episode, I grow even more. As my aunt said, we can view ourselves from the outside looking in, and I have seen a lot that I need to improve. Most of it I already knew, but it's just another reminder of things I needed to and still need to change. I am young, but I am not a kid. I am going to be 20 in a few months. I am not going to use my age as a crutch for how I acted and have been acting. I know it was wrong to pull Danielle's hair. I am sorry for how it happened, but I do not regret it. Everything happens for a reason. I do not like Danielle, I have plenty of good reasons not to. I don't like her, and I never will. That doesn't mean that I didn't learn from the experience. I don't need to like her and forgive her for all she has done in order to learn something from all this. If you all still think that I'm a bitch for not feeling sorry for her that night, then fine. I tell things like they are, not how they should be. I'm not about being fake. I'm not going to sit here and say, "I wish her the best, I am so sorry, blah, blah, blah," like SOMEONE else does. To be honest, I don't wish her well. I just hope karma catches up with her one day. I have been trying to not talk about her, and for the most part I haven't. What some people have to realize is #1. I have people asking me questions about her, and the show, and I'm not going to ignore people's questions. #2. Seeing these episodes rehash a lot of angry feelings I have towards her and writing my blog and on commenting on my Twitter and Facebook is my way of venting. #3. Danielle is STILL currently trying to mess with my life. So, sorry if you have a problem with it. I do have a life besides being "obsessed" with Danielle. HA! I have a job. I go to school. I just recently started an internship in the city. I have another internship in the city coming up in the fall. I am looking into getting an apartment. Things are going REALLY well for me right now! I spend most of my free time with my boyfriend Derek, (we have been happily together for a year and three months now) and my amazing friends. I spend the rest of my free time with my wonderful family. I really am blessed, and I have been working hard to not let any negativity get me down. I am happy with how things in my life are going. I see a bright future for myself.

I think I covered pretty much everything. If I didn't, I'm sorry! It's currently 3 a.m., and I had a long day in the city today! Which reminds me, thank you to everyone that I met in the city today (7/27) at the Maroon 5 concert! Your support and kind words mean so much to me, you have no idea! THANK YOU ALL!

If this is your first time reading my blog, I just want to kindly ask you to please support 'To Write Love On Her Arms' and spread the word about them. It really is such a great organization. You can check out their website and find out more about them at: http://www.twloha.com/

In her new cookbook, "Skinny Italian," Teresa Giudice gives controversial "French Women Don't Get Fat" writer Mireille Guiliano a run for her money, claiming that Italian dishes are healthier still.

"People believe Italian is fattening — but they're thinking of the wrong things, like calzone or chicken parmigiana," says Giudice.

"It's no coincidence that so many Italian women are skinny. They eat a fresh diet without preservatives in order to stay healthy. If, as my family has done for generations, you buy locally grown ingredients and you grill and sauté, rather than fry or deep-fry with breadcrumbs, you can cook true Italian dishes which won't make you put on weight."

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star compiled the recipe book as a "love letter" to her mom, Antonia Gorga, 59, who was born on Italy's Amalfi Coast and now also lives in New Jersey. It includes many of her adored, handed-down recipes.

"Everything I know, I learned from my mom," says Giudice, 38. "The book is my way of passing on her traditions, not just to my own daughters, but to everyone who loves fresh, nutritious and tasty food."

Giudice is keen to foster positive attitudes toward food in her girls, especially the oldest, Gia, 9, who, like many 'tweens, is becoming more conscious of her looks.

"They have inherited a healthy attitude from me," says their mom. "They love it when I cook for them, which makes me feel great. They'd rather I cooked their favorite peas and ham sautéed with tagliatelle than order takeout."

Giudice also believes that kids whose moms don't cook for them become picky eaters. "Why? Because they're suspicious of anything new. If they're not used to seeing it being made in the kitchen at home, they'll shy away from it."

In the first episode of the second season of "Housewives of New Jersey," which aired Monday, Giudice and her older daughters were seen making no fewer than 160 pots of tomato sauce to store for the year ahead.

"That's really old-school Italian," she reveals. "It's already boiled, so when you need it, all you do is sauté onion and garlic and pour the sauce into the pan. Then you add meat or whatever you want. It's incredibly easy."

Giudice celebrates Mother's Day with a traditional Italian lunch for her mother and the rest of the family.

She serves pasta with red sauce accompanied by braciole — sautéed meat rolled with garlic and parsley — and a huge salad.

"I'll also make pork spareribs and my trademark homemade spicy sausage," she adds. "The family will gather around the table in the kitchen and watch me cook. We'll have a glass of wine or a Bellini.

"It's a lovely social occasion. I'll be loving every minute."

Recipe: Teresa's Favorite Tagliatelle

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

1 pound tagliatelle or linguine pasta, preferably 8 ounces each plain and spinach

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons butter

5 ounces thick-sliced smoked ham, excess fat trimmed off and cut into 1⁄2-inch cubes

1 cup cooked fresh or thawed frozen peas

1⁄4 tablespoon salt

1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

"This is my absolute favorite pasta dish," says Giudice. "If you can't find tagliatelle, you can use linguine. I'll admit it's not necessary to use green pasta since you can't really taste the spinach in it anyway, but I like it when it looks all colorful. Feel free to sprinkle a little Parmigiano-Reggiano on top."

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Time the pasta so it is done at about the same time as the sauce.

2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the butter and melt. Add the ham and peas and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 3 minutes or more. Reduce the heat to very low to keep warm.

3. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Return the pasta to the pot. Add the sauce and the salt and pepper. Toss the pasta, adding enough of the pasta water to make a light sauce. Serve hot.

Ramona Lowers The Price On Her Hamptons Rental

Post from AMNY.

Ramona Singer lowers rental price of Southampton pad

By Valerie Kellogg

Earlier this year, Ramona SInger said that although she puts her Southampton house up for rent each summer she never actually rents it. The reason? "It's like putting your house up for sale to see what you can get," said "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast member (seen here at the house). "It's a Hamptons thing."
Newsday-Ed Betz
Why, then, did Singer recently lower the asking price for the rental?

According to a listing for the pictureque six-bedroom, six-bathroom, 5,880-square-foot house, she is now asking $95,000 for August to Labor Day. She had been asking $135,000.

With the real estate slowdown even affecting the Hamptons, maybe it is just a Hamptons thing.

Kim G. Has What It Takes To Be On The RHONJ

Article from Associated Content.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Why Kim G (Granatell) Will Be a Housewife Next Season

Kim G (The G stands for the surname Granatell) is the wannabe Real Housewife and pot-stirrer that the viewers love to hate. Kim G is a married (although separated) mother of three children. She lives just a few homes

away from housewife, Jacqueline Laurita. From Kim G's first appearance on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she showed how adept she was at straddling both sides of the fence in an attempt to get more air time and secure a role as a full-time housewife on the next season. Kim G is the classic two faced lady: She smiles in your face, pretends to be your BFF, and as soon as you turn your back, she stabs you. She tries to plant seeds of deviousness and negativity into the minds of others, through gossip, back-biting and various forms of manipulation tactics. Kim G then sits back and watches those seeds germinate and flourish in some cases.

A recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, illustrates just how cunning Kim G is. Jacqueline Laurita visits Kim G's home and they discuss the hair pulling incident. Kim G tells Jacqueline that Teresa Giudice needs to have more self control. In another scene, Teresa Giudice shows up at the Posche boutique to apologize to Kim D for the fight that ensued at the fashion show. Kim G mysteriously dropped in at the Posche and so skillfully meddled, and gave Teresa her two-cents. Teresa asked Kim G why she's friends with Danielle and her response was "I pity her". Kim G then turns around and accompanies Danielle to the courthouse to file a complaint against Ashley Holmes. In a later scene, Kim G is back at it again. She arrives at Jacqueline Laurita's house with newspapers headlining the hair pulling incident. Jacqueline Laurita questions Kim G's motives and tells her that she is two-faced. This scene ends with Kim G telling Jacqueline that Danielle has it out for Ashley.

Kim G knows what she's doing and has no reservations about admitting to it. In an interview with zap2it.com, Kim G said, " Oh, I'm all about that. Are you crazy? I'm drama and trouble. My mom said to me when I got my

Ferrari, one of my cars, 'Put 'TROUBLE1' on that license plate.' I said, 'No, mom, everyone will know it's my Ferrari.' I'm always looking for action and deviousness and drama."

So, Kim G is the type of person who thrives on excitement. That is why she is always stirring the pot and instigating controversy. It is not a good character trait, to be one who promotes trouble rather than peace, but it certainly makes for great reality TV. Some viewers hate on Danielle Staub, and she firmly solidifies her position as the villainess of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Think about it: Where would this series be without the best of the "prostitution whores", Danielle Staub? All of the cat fights and drama translates into a more interesting, and jaw dropping experience for the audience of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and drives higher ratings.

Kim G is relatable, because at one time or another, many of us have dealt with or know of a two-faced person. It is quite comical to sit back and observe how others, like Caroline Manzo swiftly puts Kim G in her place and evades the he- said-she-said crap.

For the record, Kim G and Danielle Staub are no longer friends. She told Crushable.com, "She [Danielle Staub] had no idea who she was playing with when she was playing with me". Kim G also suggests that the viewers should expect a "major showdown between Danielle Staub and herself, and has referred to Danielle as a "snake in the grass". Kim G also gives Danielle the finger in a YouTube video by mrcelebritymagnet .

Also, on Watch What Happens Live, which aired 7/26/10, Andy Cohen treated us to a sneak peek of the "major showdown" Kim G refers to. I almost fell out of my chair when Kim G screamed at Danielle Staub during the clip and made a reference to Danielle's "fake, square tits". When asked what her relationship with Danielle is like now, Kim G's response was "Danielle who?"

Kim G never said outright that she will be a housewife next season, but if offered a role, she would gladly accept. When asked about it during an interview with zap2it.com she said, "I would join the show. I'm on it. I know the ins and outs of it. The crew loves me. I know the crew loves me. I was probably the easiest and most cooperative to film. I was always available. My home was available. I'm easy-going. I don't give them any flack."

Andy Cohen Talks About The Real Housewives

Article from Crushable.com.

Exclusive: Bravo's Andy Cohen Reveals 'Housewives' Secrets
By: Amanda Ernst
Andy Cohen wears a lot of hats: He’s Bravo’s head of programming. He’s the host of Watch What Happens Live, on the same network (obvs). He’s the object of Grandma Wrinkles‘ affection.

He’s also the foremost Real Housewives expert, with gossip to spare.

In an interview with Crushable, Andy dished the dirt on Real Housewives of D.C., which premieres August 5 at 9 p.m. ET. “In every city we’ve done the Housewives, it feels like the real barometer of social status is money, and in D.C. that’s really out the window,” Andy told us. “It seems that it’s all about proximity to political power and we wanted to look at that and see how that comes into play. And also there are a lot of overtones of how race politics come into play in social circles in D.C.”

Andy, who revealed he’s “very” involved in the casting and editing of the Housewives shows, let us in on a little of what will make D.C. different. “I think the playground that they’re in really dictates part of the story that’s being told,” he said. “And so they’re really talking about politics, they’re living in that world, they’re going to political functions, but they’re also really fun and high-end and glamorous and funny. There’s stuff that unfolds at the Salahi’s winery that is quite compelling.”

Getty Images
Speaking of the Salahis, we wanted to know what happened after D.C. housewife Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq crashed the White House State Dinner last fall. “It was a very intense period of time,” Andy said. “There was a discussion a couple of months later about whether they would be a part of the show. We had been shooting them for months and months and months before this incident happened, and when we looked at all the footage of everything we had and everything that had gone down, Michaele was all intertwined with Stacie and Mary and Cat that we felt like she was an essential part of the story. And so she’s in and I think that what unfolds with them is quite compelling and the incident that happened at the White House is only a very small part of what makes Michaele so compelling.”

We will get to see a little of the incident during the series, Andy promised, although “what you really see is the aftermath and you see how it affects the women, her friends.”

At the time of the incident, there was talk about the Salahis possibly not being on the show at all, since Bravo reportedly follows more women than are used in the Housewives shows. Andy agreed that happens often. “We often shoot more people than wind up in the show because we don’t know what we’re going to get,” he said. “We don’t know where the story is going to go. And we don’t know if someone is going to leave half way through, which has happened in Orange County a couple of times, and it happened in New Jersey this season.”

They’re also always on the lookout for new housewives, in the six cities where they’re already shooting (in addition to D.C., New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and Orange County, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was announced earlier this year), as well as in new cities. But if Andy has his eye on new cities, he’s keeping mum. “I don’t want to blow it,” he told us.

Andy did debunk one myth though: rumors of a possible Real Housewives in the Lone Star state. “It’s all rumor,” he said of Real Housewives of Houston. “And by the way, we have cast in Texas before, but we have nothing going right now…for one reason or another we didn’t move forward. But, it’s an ongoing process.”

Also ongoing: casting for new housewives in New Jersey and New York. With at least one New York housewife probably bowing out for the next season, Andy wouldn’t reveal whether any of the current housewives would be returning. “We haven’t announced anything nor have we determined anything,” he said.

As for replacing Dina Manzo in New Jersey, Andy said it’s in the works, but knocked down speculation that he had hinted at Kim G being the next housewife on Monday night’s Watch What Happens Live. “I wouldn’t read anything into it,” he told us.

Moving on from casting news, we had to ask Andy the burning questions that everyone has about the Housewives franchise. It’s been getting a lot of flack for manufacturing drama and carefully editing scenes to hype the tension between ‘wives. “It’s a TV show, it’s not paint drying,” Andy told Crushable. “I think it’s important that the show be entertaining and compelling. If we showed a 2-hour dinner in real time versus a 7-minute version of the highlights, I don’t think that would be very compelling. I think Bethenny once said about the editing…it’s like when you tell a friend about a date. You tell your friend about a date in three minutes and you hit all the salient points. She said and that’s what winds up happening on the housewives. A meal gets really condensed down but you come away really getting the integrity of what happened at the meal.”

Still, Andy said Bravo producers do step in “when something gets out of hand or unpleasant,” between the housewives. As for the Kelly Bensimon breakdown/breakthrough last season, he said, “Kelly left the island the next morning and I think that speaks for itself.” Andy called the so-called “Scary Island” trip “a disturbing situation” but he never put down Kelly. “I think she’s fun and light and energetic,” he said. “And I do think that she doesn’t want to engage in conversations that she thinks are trivial.”

One conversation we loved was Kelly and Andy’s during the Real Housewives of New York City reunion show. Andy told us it’s sometimes “a little awkward” to have a back and forth with the ‘wives during reunion shows, since he already knows many sides of the story. “They know I know. And sometimes I really don’t know,” he said. “But I really have to be a conduit for the viewer. I’ve seen every rough cut of every episode and I’ve heard during production what happened. So it’s a very complex.”

Andy also has his opinions about Danielle Staub, the central drama-causer on Real Housewives of New Jersey. “I think she’s complex. I think she’s intense,” Andy told us. “I would never begin to even kind of psychoanalyze her. I think she can be really entertaining to watch and I think she can be very vulnerable. I think that she can be very aggressive.” Still, Andy said he doesn’t believe Danielle is really gay. “I think she’s having fun and flirting,” he said.

And when we asked the question that everyone has about Real Housewives of New Jersey – what did Danielle do to Dina? – Andy expertly dodged. “I don’t know is the answer. I don’t know, nor would I feel comfortable saying if I did.”

Brad And The Real Housewives

Excerpts from Brad's article, he writes for FocusOnStyle.

Reality TV Stars and A List Celebrities Fancy Weekend Festivities With Brad Boles
Gossip, Gossip, Gossip in The Hamptons: New Jersey and New York Housewives, Rolls-Royce, Polo, A-List Celebrities, and even more reality stars!

By: Brad Boles
The Hamptons were crawling with Real Housewives from New York and New Jersey (together!), tons of major A-List stars, and more reality show stars than you could fill the parking lot that was presently full of a Rolls-Royce or two or three.

Housewife Extravaganza!

The weekend out East started with a fabulous party hosted by my girl Jill Zarin at Lilly Pond in East Hampton. The Real Housewife form New York City’s equally wonderful houseguest Caroline Manzo and her daughter Lauren Manzo, from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

The place was packed with the likes of Georgina Bloomberg – that’s New York Mayor Bloomberg’s daughter-- and man of the weekend, basketball star Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat who seemed to be everywhere!

BTW: Ramona Singer talked Caroline’s ear off all night long... I can't imagine what they could have in common other than being part of the Real Housewives franchise?

On Saturday things really kicked into high gear. The day started with a party for Rolls-Royce. Jill, Caroline, Bobby and I took the new Rolls-Royce Ghost for a spin!

The event crowd was stellar-- with the likes of Alec Baldwin, Chris Bosh, the ever-gorgeous Caymanian model Selita Ebanks, and Russell Simmons hanging out.

After rolling with Rolls-Royce, it was off to Bridgehampton Polo as a guest of Todd Rome who's company Blue Star Jet is the polo field’s sponsor.

I ran into Kourtney Kardashian and her baby daddy Scott Disick there. Now mind you, it was almost 102 degrees even in the VIP Swag Lounge! In that crazy heat, Scott was wearing a jacket. “Why, “Jill asked, “why?”

"Because I look good," Scott replied. Ok, whatever Scott, maybe your internal thermometer is different than the rest of ours!

Bethenny Frankel was at the event and looked slim and sexy in a black and white number with a big hat fit for Ascot! She gave me a hug and I’m not sure why.

Metrosexual extraordinaire Rob Siegel joined me in the Blue Star Enclosure with the likes of my divine and outrageously funny friend George Wayne. I know George as GW, you may know him as the guy with the scandalous column in Vanity Fair Magazine. Boy, did we have a laugh reminiscing about rather unique interview situation that GW had with Ariana Huffington many years ago that had him speed dialing Graydon Carter!

The next stop was in East Hampton and over to London Jewelers for the jewelry launch of my girlfriend Lisa Gastineau and her sexy daughter Brittny’s new collection. What a beautiful pair mom and daughter are and an equally stunning collection of jewelry.

FYI: Jill and I appeared in Season 2 of “The Gastinau Girls” as I decorated their apartment right down to a Moroccan dining room along with Zarin Fabrics.

I bumped into Caroline's sister Dina Manzo and she told me that she hightailed it out of NJ for the tony East End... it looks like she is having the best time and wants an ocean front estate next summer!

By the time we left the Gastinau event, Jill's feet were in such bad shape that Bobby had to get the car while Jill, Caroline and Ally sat on a bench on the street with shoes in hand. Boy, the fans were loving that photo op! That's kind or ironic since Sharon's feet were mutilated by her shoes when we met at Fashion Night Out... could I be responsible for killing woman's feet?!

More High Rollers...

Next stop was the Watermill Summer Benefit where I couldn't stay for dinner but shared a catch up with Sharon Stone.

The last time that I saw the gorgeous Sharon was at Les Caves Du Roy in ST. Tropez. The fabulous Sharon (yes, our FocusOnStyle Sharon here is equally fabulous!) was dancing on a table top with Denise Rich and Dame Shirley Bassey all the while Rupert Everett and I dished about what happened when he worked with Madonna on the filming of “The Next Best Thing.” Anyway, they have since made up and that’s all history.

Then it was off to ART FOR LIFE BENEFIT hosted by Russell Simmons. The East End hasn't seen this many singers and producers on one manicured lawn in years! Alicia Keys was there and looked amazing with her baby bump. I ran into the ever-glamorous Kelly Killoren Bensimon... does that girl ever stop?

Bombay Sapphire sponsored the event and the valet was parking was jammed with Rolls-Royce’s, Bentley's, Maserati’s and Lamborghini Diablo's that it filled three tree lined lane's-- on both right and left side! It took over forty minutes to get my car.

Stylist for a one of The Real Housewives of New Jersey...

On Sunday morning, Jill rang me up with a pressing fashion emergency. It turns out Caroline Manzo has slimmed down so much that nothing fits. She was booked on the Isaac Mizarhi show the following morning and needed something fab to wear.

We dashed off to the Diane Von Furstenburg boutique in Southampton. The first dress that I pulled was the one... I'm talking RED CARPET perfect. After a bit more shopping, Jill and I spent the afternoon jet skiing in Mecox Bay with a stop by from GW on his way back to New York City to interview Jimmy Fallon for Vanity Fair. And, how was your weekend?

My fashion tip this week for the ladies...

With this insanely hot weather, hats are the fashion must-have item of the week. My picks for the summer are big floppy brims in bold colors. Throw on a fab pair of sunglasses like the ones from DVF with the glitter lips on the side.

Ladies, I know it’s hot but please loose the Birkenstocks... they are so Linda Evangilista 10 years ago! Go for a hot pair of Hermes sandals adorned with a big H or anything less granola.

We will see you out east soon! – Brad Boles

A Fresh Start
Teresa Giudice

Hello Baby Dolls!

Alright, I'm going to dive right in here. I don't read the tabloids and I've been spending my days with my four little girls, so I really only heard about all the new stories circulating about me late last night from my fans. Thank you all for the heads up, for the wonderful wishes and prayers!

Since I don't really pay attention to the gossip, I don't usually respond to it, but I've gotten so many questions from you all that I want to let you guys know the truth.

As you know, Joe and I filed for bankruptcy protection back in October 2009 primarily because of real estate deals gone bad in a bad economy. We didn't spend millions of dollars on gold toilets or private planes. We bought buildings, fixed them up, and tried to help other people start their own businesses or be able to afford an apartment. The economy crash trickled down to everyone. We worked so hard for so many years and it was heartbreaking to file, and not something we took lightly. Of course you can't sit in your bed and just cry all day, so we moved forward, got new jobs, and are working hard once again. The point is to get a fresh start so you can move forward.

If we didn't give fresh starts to people, we wouldn't have the following great American companies that were only able to be created after their owners' filed bankruptcy: The Walt Disney Company, Hilton Hotels, Hershey's chocolates, Macy's department stores, Heinz ketchup and even WalMart. If Sam Walton hadn't filed bankruptcy after his first store failed, he wouldn't have been able to build the largest company in the world that employs more people than any other: 2 million!

But it's not a fun or an easy process. If you've ever been unfortunate enough to be involved in a legal situation, you know it's a lot of back and forth between both sides. Right now, our bankruptcy trustee is trying to get an auction going, and our lawyer is objecting it. Every day, there are new tactics used, stories circulated, and details "leaked" to the press, but it's all part of the legal wrangling. All I can do is rise above it, keep my head high, and know that at the end of the day, I have my family, my health, and I'm in God's hands. Nothing else matters, certainly not a lamp.

As for the story that I wanted money to appear at a charity event, completely false. I have never charged to appear at a charity event, nor do I accept anything for helping charities. And I help as many charities as I possibly can. I'm actively involved in Project Ladybug, but also Pancreatic Cancer, Autism, AID FOR AIDS International, the Red Cross, and Clean the World. I'm giving up Labor Day weekend with my kids to appear in My Big Gay Italian Wedding for charity for four days in a row. And I'm so honored and happy to do it.

I've never heard of the shelter that's complaining about me, but they called the person who books me in clubs and he told them he doesn't do charity, and to contact me directly. It's very easy to get a hold of me at my website, and I do check every email. I can't help every single charity that asks of course, but I do as I many as I can. I have no idea why this charity would try and bash me in the press, unless they were looking for press, which they obviously got. I did notice that Danielle was in attendance at this particular event…. Coincidence? Hmmm….

So let's talk about this week's episode. I actually really liked it. It was a nice change from the constant drama to just get a peek into everyone's life. I can't believe I've been married for 10 (well 10 and half years now) to Joe. We had a great anniversary.

You also got to see how we hang around and play games with our kids. Weren't they so cute playing Monopoly? And Milania had to be the shoe. Of course!

I also really liked seeing Christine's Sweet 16 Party. She is a beautiful girl, but you can tell she's counting down the days until she can leave that house. Poor Jillian has a little longer to wait. We finally got to meet their dad, and I think it's obvious where they got their good looks from! Jillian singing was so sweet, but it nearly broke my heart that Danielle was pushing her so hard. Of course, Danielle turned everything back around to her. Typical. I thought it was creepy that she would wear her engagement ring just to make a statement to her ex-husband's new wife. Sad.

Funniest line of the episode: Danielle, "I am the best mother in the world." I really can't even make that even funnier. I'll just leave it to stand on its own.

Thank you all for your continued support! My book signings are starting to feel like rock concerts! Over 1,000 people are showing up and they are having to close the streets! But I always stay and meet every single person, even if it's after midnight. And I do have the most fabulous, beautiful fans in the world!!!!

I’m hard at work on my next book, a follow-up with Skinny Italian. It’s going to be fabulous! I can’t wait! Visit me on my website www.teresagiudice.com , or join my Fan page on Facebook (I’ve maxed out on friends so they won’t let me accept anymore, I’m so sorry, but you can "like" me), and follow me on Twitter @teresa_giudice.
