The RHONJ Talk To Wendy Williams

Post from Absurd To Sublime.

Edited to add: Caroline Manzo’s birthdate is August 23, 1959. Meaning all the well meaning twitter friends and commenters are wrong, and so am I.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey looked good on the Wendy Williams Show. The 25 lb. weight loss of Caroline Manzo didn’t do her face any justice, but at age 55, it’s either face or body. Lauren Manzo and Ashley Holmes were in the audience. Wendy brings up Kim Granatell, briefly, all answers are guarded. Ashley is allowed to speak, won’t answer questions about Danielle Staub stalking, so Wendy turns to Caroline, who claims she found out on the day of reunion show. Wendy shows tape of Teresa’s reunion part 1 tantrum. . Teresa still claims its about Melissa Gorga’s child , to which Wendy implies it was quite an over reaction. Teresa won’t talk about bankruptcy.
After the commercial, they play a game, “Who Knows New Jersey” with Wendy and Teresa against Jacqueline and Caroline. The game ends in a tie, Wendy gives them all pageant sashes and crowns, Jacqueline is funny as she imitates the walk and wave of a pageant winner. That’s it.

Bethenny Visits Regis And Kelly

Article from Zap 2 It.

By Jethro Nededog
Bethenny Frankel helped "Live with Regis and Kelly" celebrate the first day of Season 23 in syndication on Monday, Sept. 6.

Photo: Bravo
Last week, Bethenny officially announced that she's not returning for Season 4 and when Regis Philbin asked her if she misses the housewives, she simply replied, "I don't."

"I feel like it was a pyramid scam," Bethenny says. "And you're lucky to get out at the top and I don't want to go back in the bottom and get stuck in the middle."

Regis, who doesn't believe reality shows are real at all, asked the former housewife just how much of the Bravo series is faked.
"The housewives are reality, but it gets sensationalized," Bethenny explains. "But not because of the producers, because of the people. Some people are just who they are. I was completely who I was on the housewives."

She then adds, "It's that the women try to outdo each other, slapping, pulling hair..."

Now that Bethenny is off of "Real Housewives," the only person she has to worry about pulling her hair is new baby, Brynn, and we're sure her new husband, Jason Hoppy, is allowed a tug in certain situations... Wink.

"I think ["Bethenny Getting Married?"] is witty and it's true and I think that people can enjoy that," Bethenny says. "It doesn't always have to be so psychotic."
So, what's in store for viewers on "Bethenny Getting Married?'s" second season? We feel there may be a lot of talk about a second baby, which Jason is all about.

"I'm 39, so I would have to get moving," Bethenny jokes. "So, I have to leave here and try to get pregnant today."

When the show films, Bethenny says camera crews follow her four days a week for as much as eight hours a day and she says she generally doesn't limit their access.

"It's a rose and it has petals and thorns," she says. "And the truth is I signed up for it and decided people invested in me for so many years, taking time from their family to watch it, I'm going to go there with the show."
The chef and businesswoman was also there to promote her new book, "Skinny Dish," and her workout video, "Body By Bethenny."

Will you be tuning into the second season of Bethenny's spin-off show?

Kathie Lee Does Not Know Danielle

Post from Times Of The Internet

Photo: Bravo
Kathie Lee Gifford is no fan of reality TV shows, or reality stars - especially Danielle Staub, a former Real Housewife Of New Jersey that is slated to get her own reality TV spin-off show.
Danielle Staub is a known antagonist on RHoNJ and has a checkered past complete with an arrest record.
Gifford was discussing Staub's new spin off show with her Today show co-host, Hoda Kotb and didn't react favorably to the news, she said, "When are we going to stop rewarding bad behavior?"

The National Enquirer reports that Staub didn't let Gifford's on-air comments slide. A friend told the tabloid Staub said, "Kathie Lee needs to shut up and mind her own business! She doesn't know me!"

Despite her lack of love of love for Kathie Lee Gifford, Danielle still has love for her fans. She recently blogged, "It's not over yet. Keep watching, there is MORE to come! To all my fans and friends, thank you for your support and kindness I appreciate each one of you greatly! To all who do not know me, never cared to, and do not relate to me or my journey, thank you for taking so much time out of your life to let me know. Proves me right - love me or hate me, you're still paying attention."

How Good Is The Food The RHONJ Talk About?

Post from North Jersey.com.

By ELISA UNG
RESTAURANT REVIEWER
When Danielle Staub and sidekick Danny Provenzano crave panini, they head to the Market Basket in Franklin Lakes.

Though I assure you I am appropriately riveted by the hair pulling, urn crashing, poker playing, overspending and Andy Cohen-shoving, I can't be the only one watching "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and wondering …

Is that panini really that good? Is that smoothie actually worth downing every day? And is Teresa's "juicy" husband really at his pizzeria around the clock?

Someone had to find out.

The scene: Hanger-on Danny Provenzano suggests to Wayne's Danielle Staub that they grab a bite at the Market Basket. Danielle recoils. She might run into the other women! But, Danny informs her, they're all in Italy. Hooray! Danielle has suffered too long without a panini! Things were different before all this drama started, she says. "I'd go to the Market Basket maybe three times a week. We'd have a panini. It's, like, the best panini in the world."

And now? "Those women have threatened me to the point where I don't even want to run into them," she says. "Coming here meant having, like, a sinking feeling in my gut that out of nowhere they would come. I couldn't let my kids walk around here safely anymore."

The Market Basket = the war zone. Who knew? But the panini? They're very good.

I stopped in for the same one the deli manager says Staub chose that day, the Smoked Turkey Avalanche panini ($5.95). It was a perfectly proportioned pile of smoked-in-house turkey breast, Jarlsberg cheese, freshly made coleslaw and made-from-scratch Russian dressing, pressed to order (mine got a bit charred as I chatted up the deli guy about Danielle's appearance).

While I agree with Staub that a bite might not be worth risking our children's lives, I might be more willing than she to risk a Manzo confrontation. But on that fateful day, did she and Danny eat in the parking lot? As the real housewives of North Jersey know, the Market Basket has no seating. 813 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes, 201-891-2000, marketbasket.com.

The scene: Staub and Provenzano are conspiring at the Oakland Diner, a frequent haunt. Staub orders "my blueberry banana smoothie."

"It's like an antioxidant," she informs him. "I don't know, I hit 47, I gotta start watching out for things. Plus, I have this nutritionist that's really, like, saying, 'The more blueberries, the better.' And I get a smoothie here once a day."

When I visited the diner, I didn't see smoothies on the menu and my order seemed to confuse the staff, who began rummaging around for ingredients. But I was finally presented with a watery, not particularly well-blended smoothie that had big chunks of bananas bobbing about and a vaguely artificial taste, probably due to what our waitress called an "ice cream smoothie mix."
What do you think Danielle's nutritionist would say about that? Well, diner owner Harry Mihas said later that Staub's version comes with orange juice instead of the "mix" – good call. He said Staub comes in two or three times a week, and has for years.
"One day she says, 'Harry, I'm trying to be on this show, would it be all right if I shoot video [in the diner]?' To myself I say, 'She's never going to get on TV, is she crazy?' I'm going, 'Knock yourself out.' Maybe a year passes by and I see my diner on TV. And I say, 'Look at that, she actually did it!' " And now "Housewives" fans come in to take pictures of the booths.

Mihas said Staub often gets the same salad with her smoothie – a chopped-up mixture of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, two hard-boiled eggs and grilled chicken, dressed with olive oil and lemon. "I'm going to name it after her," he said. " 'Danielle's Salad.' Or, 'Danielle's Revenge'?"

I voted for the latter. 72 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, 201-337-1262.

The scene: Towaco's Teresa Giudice and her family are slinging dough at the Hillside pizza parlor owned by her "juicy" husband, Joe. "I'm so proud of all the hard work that Joe's put in the pizzeria, sacrificing not being at home, but I'm sure it will all be worth it," Teresa says.

The segment continues with lots of shots of her cute daughters, sauce and cheese, ending with the eldest, Gia, exclaiming, "You're the best pizzeria guy!" (At least we think it was Gia and we think that's what she said.) On Teresa's Bravotv.com blog, she promised that any visitor to Giuseppe's Homestyle Pizzeria and Restaurant would definitely see Joe and might occasionally see her.

So I went in for lunch with my co-worker Virginia Rohan, The Record's resident "Real Housewives" expert. Rohan noted that the pizzeria has figured prominently in the Giudices' bankruptcy case – the trustee listed it as one of the businesses in which the couple failed to disclose an interest. Joe Giudice testified that his father actually owned the pizzeria. But our menu bore a picture of Teresa Giudice, listing her as the "owner."

Legalities aside, we did enjoy the charming family themes: paninis, pizzas and subs named after the couple and their children; a cheesesteak named "Fabulous"; and a sausage-and-peppers sandwich called "Love Love."

Our only issue with the place is that it stank like bug spray, which the guy behind the counter swore was not the restaurant's doing. Maybe the people upstairs, he said. Sadly, we didn't get to run this by Juicy Joe – he wasn't there when we visited and didn't call us back later. 1576 Maple Ave., Hillside, 973-351-5103.

Michaele Posing For Playboy Is Just Another Rumor

Post from CNN.

Photo: Bravo
From CNN's Jeff Simon
A spokesman for Michaele Salahi of White House party-crasher fame batted down on Saturday morning a story that claims the “Real Housewives” star would be appearing nude in Playboy.

“It’s another rumor,” Salahi’s media liaison Michael Cruz told CNN. “We have no information about any official offer from Playboy.”
The celebrity gossip blog TMZ reported overnight that Salahi had a Playboy photo shoot booked for later this month and that Salahi would appear “full-frontal, birthday suit naked."
“I haven’t spoken to anyone at TMZ,” Cruz said. “I am trying to track down who at TMZ they are getting their information from.”

Salahi and her husband made news as the "White House crashers" in November after attending President Barack Obama's first state dinner without an invitation.

Teresa To Host A Table Flipping Contest

Post from Radar Online.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice is doing her part to put a dent in her $11 million debt. The feisty Italian beauty—most known for her fiery temper and explosive outbursts on the show—will be hosting a table-flipping contest September 25 in Delaware, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Teresa, who infamously flipped a table in a fit of rage on season one after she got into an argument with fellow cast mate Danielle Staub, has admitted to hitting the work force since declaring bankruptcy with her real estate investor husband Joe. She is currently also promoting her best selling book, The Skinny Italian.

Teresa will appear at the Funky Monkey in Wilmington, Delaware, where she’ll hold a meet-and-greet with fans and invite women to flip a table for a prize.

Teresa opened up about her financial woes to In Touch magazine, saying, “I was humiliated. Joe thought things were going to get better.” The reality star said she and Joe have “learned a lot from our mistakes,” noting that he’s put a limit on her credit cards in the wake of their money troubles.

Teresa And Joe's Bankruptcy Woes

Article from Pop Eater.

Photo: Bravo
A New Jersey lawyer for the Dept. of Justice handling the case of Teresa and Joe Giudice in federal bankruptcy court has filed a complaint on Thursday objecting to the couple's request for Chapter 7 protection, claiming they intentionally failed to reveal major assets in their original petition. The court documents that appear to have been filed by Roberta A. DeAngelis have surfaced on a 'Housewife' blog. Sources of income alleged to be missing from the bankruptcy filing? The court documents list a $250,000 book advance from Hyperion received by Teresa for her cookbook 'Skinny Italian,' her ownership of an online boutique called TGFabulicious and more.

The complaint mentioning the book advance is pictured below:

The objection reads: "To date, the Defendants have not filed amended schedules that disclose the existence of the book 'Skinny Italian,' the publishing deal with Hyperion, Defendant wife's ownership of TG Fabulicious, LLC, or Defendant husband's ownership of 1601 Maple Avenue Associates, LLC."

The claim further alleges that the couple were untruthful in previous sworn testimony ("the Defendants have knowingly and fraudulently made false oaths in this case") as the contract with Hyperion was reportedly dated Oct. 22, 2009 -- just prior to the Guidices' petition for bankruptcy protection -- and signed within weeks of filing for Chapter 7. While Teresa has reportedly acknowledged in an April 2010 examination under oath that she received the book advance, her legal team has apparently done little to officially update court records about the newly disclosed assets.
Meanwhile, many of the couple's priciest belongings -- from vehicles to furniture -- were set to be auctioned off this month, but RadarOnline.com reports that lawyers for the couple are now trying to avoid the spectacle of a public auction by arranging for a more private sale.

Michaele Playboy Spread Coming Soon

Post from TMZ.

Michaele Salahi is about to crash another party -- the one in your pants -- because TMZ has learned the "Real Housewives of D.C." star is taking it all off for Playboy magazine.

And not just artsy "top half" naked -- we're talking full-frontal, birthday suit naked.

Salahi's rep tells us the shoot will go down later this month -- and Michaele is "very excited" about posing down.
We're told Playboy honchos have not yet determined whether or not Salahi will get the cover ... but she would "love it."

Teresa's Private Sale Not Approved By Judge Yet

Article from Radar Online.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice may be saved the spectacle of her belongings being sold at a public auction. Her lawyer told RadarOnline.com exclusively that they are now hoping to conduct the sale privately.
“We concluded that we do not believe that a public sale would be in the interest of anyone,” James A. Kridel, of The Kridel Law Group, told RadarOnline.com about his conversations with John Sywilok, the trustee attorney.

Kridel says while no official orders have been filed towards a private sale, that is what he is working towards.

Kridel claims the decision isn’t about saving face, but about “common sense.”

“We concluded that we didn’t think that the public sale would draw any additional money,” he explained further. “So it would be an exercise in futility.” Kridel says the private sale would sell off the Giudices’ belongings as one big package, rather then selling of individual items.

“Typically there would be an agreed upon price and it would be sold to an individual or individuals at a set price which we believe would be more than we could get at a public sale. And then it has to go before the court and usually it would have to be approved by the court.”
Though the October 3 public auction is still being advertised on the auctioneer’s website, Kridel says the date could change since they are pushing for a private sale, which still has to be approved by a judge.

Michaele's Sari Could Sell For Three Grand

Aricle from the Washington Post. Pictures from TMZ.

By Amy Argetsinger
For months, White House gate-crasher-turned-reality star Michaele Salahi has been promising reporters that she would auction her infamous red-and-gold sari for charity -- and, well, darned if she's not actually doing it now. For real!
The Potomack Co., an Old Town Alexandria auction house, announced Friday that it will put the dress on the block Oct. 2. and that Salahi and her husband, Tareq, "have directed the auction gallery to forward 80 percent of their proceeds from the gown's sale to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund," and a yet-to-be-named local charity.

The dress -- technically not a sari but a two-piece style known as a lengha -- was rendered instantly iconic in November when Salahi wore it into the White House state dinner for India without an actual invitation, exposing a major weakness in President Obama's security perimeter.

But how iconic? The Potomack Co.'s Lucie Holland said the auction house estimates that it could fetch $2,000 to $3,000. "Our estimates are conservative," she said. "We hope to generate interest." Yet it probably won't land in the stratosphere of recently auctioned gowns worn by Princess Diana or Marilyn Monroe.

Those who love to hate the controversial couple -- who seem to have gotten stuck in the villain roles on "The Real Housewives of D.C." -- will either be gratified that the Salahis won't profit heavily after the charity donation or dismayed that the sale will do little to help the long line of vendors and creditors who say the Salahis owe them. The dress will probably be the first lot on a sale day that will also feature a collection of Asian art and furniture from a historic Alexandria home.

Holland said the dress "is in beautiful condition." She lifted the dress -- tulle with gold beading and sequins -- and "it's very heavy, actually. It's quite substantial."

Phaedra-RHOA Talks To Chicago Now

Article from Chicago Now.

By:LaShonda Matlock
Entertainment lawyer Phaedra Parks is one of the newest cast members of Bravo's hit reality show 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' season three. You don't know about her yet? She's the outspoken, tough celebrity attorney power-house that's slated to give Nene Leakes a run for her money. And since the rumor mill is already spiraling out of control with various reports by Pagesix, and RadarOnline.com.
Phaedra decided to speak with LaShonda Matlock of Chicagonow.com and state that she's more than just a pretty face and reality star.

LaShonda: First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to talk with me today. I know you have clients in and out of court so I'll try to be short.
Phaedra: My pleasure, thank you for the opportunity

LaShonda: Many people don't know that you are a very prominent entertainment lawyer who has represented several A-list celebrities and are currently the managing partner of The Parks Group. How do people not know this?
Phaedra: Well, when I'm working in the service of my clients it's not my role to eclipse their presence but rather to advocate on their behalf and support them. People not knowing me is not an issue, the great things that my clients do and their achievements is the best reflection of me and my practice.

LaShonda: Your resume is very long (classic overachiever). From Georgia's Rising Stars Super Lawyers, NBC, Fox News, Court TV, Rolling Out Magazine, Jet Magazine and so on.... What else is there for you to achieve in your career?
Phaedra: My focus has not been about collecting accolades but about giving back and making a difference. I always pursue things that interest me and thank God, I've been presented with some great opportunities that have been very exciting and rewarding. You know what we look like on paper is not always who we really are. I'm sort of laughing out loud about your question because I never see myself as this "overachiever". I just see myself as a hard worker.

LaShonda: You have represented some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry including Jermaine Dupri and Bobby Brown. You know firsthand how turbulent, volatile and crazy the entertainment industry can be as a whole. So, why do you continue to be an entertainment lawyer? Why does this career drive you so much?
Phaedra: The reason I entered this field is because it gave me the opportunity to marry two things that I love: the arts and the law, and representing the clients that I represent affords me the opportunity to change lives and help people achieve their dreams. I'm fascinated by the law and how some laws work for some people and not for others. When I'm representing a lot of my clients they are in a position where the law hasn't been so kind to them. Over the years, my job has been about making my clients the best that they can be, helping them maintain their careers, evolve into bigger stars and secure a sustainable financial future. So when I see their growth and their development...it inspires me. And as far as being the best, that's relative because I'm always in competition with myself and I always give my all.

LaShonda: This is not your first venture into reality television. Actually, you were an executive producer for BET's Tiny & Toya show. How do like going from behind the camera to being full-time in front of the camera?
Phaedra: To be exact, I was the consulting producer.

LaShonda: Sorry
Phaedra: But no, they are two totally different artistic ventures and creative expressions, however, they are both collaborative works. Being in front of the camera is new and different but I enjoy both roles equally.

LaShonda: Congratulations I hear you're a new mommy!
Phaedra: Thank you...

LaShonda: Has having a child changed your life in any way. Or are you still pushing 70hour long work weeks?
Phaedra: No, I'm currently on maternity leave and enjoying motherhood. The changes are unbelievable; I don't know where to start. Any time I think you become a mother, you see things differently. The whole world becomes anew to you. Now, I don't only see it through my eyes, I see it through the eyes of my son. It's a sudden epiphany that things are not all about you. You're just so entranced, so in love and so engaged with this child...it's amazing. I always heard that a mother's love was the greatest love, but now I'm experiencing it for myself, and I know it to be true. I just get overjoyed thinking about him. I love him so much. It's like the first time you ever had candy. Yummy!

LaShonda: How old is your son now?
Phaedra: He is a little over two-months old

LaShonda: Are there more plans for children any time soon?
Phaedra: Well...being the southern bell that I am, I have to be coy. I grew up in a family of four. I'm the eldest daughter, I have two brothers and a sister. I love my siblings, we are best friends. But being a career woman, I don't know if I could have four children. I mean... I think it's great in theory. I would love to give my son a playmate but I'm not very sure when. I couldn't imagine life without a brother or a sister and I would like to give him the same experience.

LaShonda: How is your husband handling of all the attention of you being in the spotlight?
Phaedra: I married a great guy and he's very supportive of me. The one thing I can say is that he is always happy for my success. He's always one hundred percent behind me. I'm sure he could do without some of the press. But at the end of the day, if it makes me happy, it makes him happy. You know the old saying...."If Mommy ain't happy nobody's happy."

LaShonda: Your husband must be very proud of you and all that you've accomplished. What is the greatest thing about being married for you?
Phaedra: I would say having a life partner, having someone that is by your side and that's in it with you. It is like having a live-in best friend. I know I can tell him anything, he can tell me anything and that's what I think being married is all about. No matter what, love conquers all and we have an abundance of love.

LaShonda: I have to say I was very excited to hear that you joined the cast of RHOA. What made you decide to do the show?
Phaedra: It's a wonderful ensemble of very different women. I think I add a totally new dimension to the show and bring something that is extremely unique. Saying that in itself made me very interested to be a part of it. I have a very different background from the other women. I am not only a wife and mother but I am also the principle of my own law practice. I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to show people what it is like for a woman in 2010 to juggle a very demanding career while raising a child and trying to be a good wife and partner to my husband.

LaShonda: What did your friends, family and clients think when you agreed to do the show?
Phaedra: I have a great support base. My friends, family and clients always support me. So they were really thrilled for me.

LaShonda: BRAVO recently ran the first official promo for the upcoming season of RHOA. And from what was shown in the two-minute promo it doesn't appear that the other ladies were very receptive to your arrival. Please explain.
Phaedra: I think the thing that you've got to realize is that it's a two-minute commercial. Controversy always sells and always draws attention. Like most teasers you see they show you the most volatile and the juiciest moments of the show to draw you in. That's all I'm going to tell you, but it will be a phenomenal season with lots of fireworks.

LaShonda: Speaking of fire, why do you think that RHOA producers and bloggers are labeling you as the quote 'fire-starter' of the show?
Phaedra: (Laughs) Well, I don't want to second guess what people are saying. But when people are talking about you that means you are on their minds, and when people stop talking, that's means you are no longer relevant. So to be a "fire starter" means a lot of different things to different people. I can't worry about labels, because people will always label you at some point.

LaShonda: I'm already hearing that you, Nene Leakes, and Kim Zolciak get into a confrontation about being in the music industry. Can you give us any details?
Phaedra: Ms. LaShonda, once again, you are going to have to tune in October 4th at 9pm to Bravo. You will be pleased with what you see.

LaShonda: Ok, well then how about this one. Page Six reported that there was a quote "tiff" at cast member Cynthia Bailey's wedding? Can you tell us what exactly happened?
Phaedra: Hmmmm, are you trying to get me in trouble Ms. Matlock?

LaShonda: So there was an incident?
Phaedra: (laughs)

LaShonda: Can you at least confirm you attended cast member Cynthia Bailey's wedding in New York.
Phaedra: (laughs)

LaShonda: You're killing me....
Phaedra: No, you're trying to get me in trouble with Bravo!!

LaShonda: What else can we expect from this season of RHOA? SPILL IT!
Phaedra: This is going to be a very different season. It won't be disappointing; it's going to be EXPLOSIVE! So you've got to watch and see it for yourself.

LaShonda: You are an amazing lawyer, philanthropist, role model and wife. Do you worry about that the drama from the reality show eventually pouring over into your personal & professional life?
Phaedra: It's going to absolutely spill over because it is a reality show. Its real, and it is a window into another part of my life. At the end of the day my clients know who I am. My business is referral based, I've never advertised. So I don't think that people are going to change their opinion about me if they truly know me and truly accept me for who I am. At the end of the day I'm always true to myself. And if you're true to yourself let the chips fall where they may...

LaShonda: So how is your relationship with Kim Zolicak? And how do you like her singing?
Phaedra: You know what; I'm very impressed with Kim. I really like Kim! She's very charismatic and has a great heart.

LaShonda: You didn't answer the question.
Phaedra: You know...I've never actually heard Kim sing by herself. I've heard the song "Tardy for The Party" and I like it. But to be a hit in this industry, it is all about a presence and having great lyrics, you can make anyone sound good. And anyone that knows Kim knows that she has a great presence and is one to be reckoned with much like myself. (laughs) remember I am Mrs. 'fire-starter'.

LaShonda: How is your relationship with Nene Leakes?
Phaedra: I've known Nene since childhood, we are both from the classic city, Athens, Georgia. She's a little older than me, but I don't have any issues with her.

LaShonda: You're putting your entire world on view for everyone to see, do you have any regrets or fears now that the show is about to air?
Phaedra: Well honey, I am too far in the water to look back, so I just have to enjoy the swim!

The first installment, held July Fourth weekend, was created in honor of Tybee Island's ongoing commitment to healthy living and to celebrate being named Health magazine's "America's Healthiest Beach" for 2009. View photos of the first event

"We want to make Tybee a healthy place to come and vacation," said event sponsor Stacye Jarrell of Oceanfront Cottage Rentals.
To keep with this weekend's emphasis on dance, participants can join a belly-dancing class, a kickboxing and dance routine, and a cardio exercise.

"This is going to be one of the most fun events Tybee has had," Jarrell said. "Having the first one behind us, we decided we wanted to have more of a dance-party theme this time."

For Lisa Wu-Hartwell, Tybee is a beach that she and her husband, former NFL player Ed Hartwell, enjoy visiting from their home in the Atlanta area.

"I love it on Tybee," Wu-Hartwell said. "We're going to have fun out there."

The Hartwells will emcee the event and lead participants in a cardio warm up exercise involving kickboxing.

"I've done kickboxing for a long time and studied martial arts," Wu-Hartwell said.

She plans to release a kickboxing workout DVD with Jeanette Jenkins, "The Hollywood Trainer." Wu-Hartwell is working on a book, "When The Cake Is Already Made," with best-selling author Miasha, and she will be starring in some upcoming films.

Fitness and healthy living are two things Wu-Hartwell said she's passionate about and hopes to encourage others by giving them fitness tips and the push they need to be active.
Wu-Hartwell says the key is maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying motivated to get outside and involved in physical activities.

"I have my days when I'd rather relax, but being healthy is a decision you have to make. It's a lifestyle," she said. "Gym memberships are the highest around the New Year because people are making their resolutions, and then by Jan. 31, it falls off. You feel great after you leave the gym, though. You have to make yourself do it. It's definitely rewarding."
Several other fitness instructors will join Wu-Hartwell throughout the morning for Tybee Throws a Fit.

Zumba, a fusion of international dance and Latin beats, will be led by CC Powell of Synergistic Bodies.

Local belly dance instructor Deedee Coover will lead a group in the ancient Middle Eastern dance style, while kickboxing guru Leah Sparks will show participants how to kickbox to music.

Fitness expert and personal trainer Sunny Weathers from Tybee's YMCA will offer a "Cardio Kickoff" demonstration.

Local trainer Drew Edmonds, of Train Me 24/7 and personal trainer to the Style Network's Ruby Gettinger, will return to the event to offer his "Get Fit Body Blast," a total body workout for all fitness levels that targets abs, thighs and upper body.

Other activities offered by area residents will include stand-up paddleboarding, water aerobics, limbo, beach bocce, horseshoes, yoga on the beach, children's activities and more.

Bravo Filming The Gorga's Already

Hey Teresa: be careful what you wish for.

Now that despised Danielle Staub has been axed from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," the show has recruited new cast member Melissa Gorga -- hothead Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law and bitter enemy.

There's apparently no love lost between rivals Teresa and Melissa, who's married to Teresa's kid brother, Giuseppe Gorga.

While the profligate Teresa and hubby Joe are bankrupt and fending off creditors, Melissa and Giuseppe -- a former landscaper who segued into real estate development -- are living the good life in their $4 million mansion in tony Montville, NJ.

NEW GIRL: Meet Melissa Gorga: She's married to "Housewife of NJ" Teresa's brother Giuseppe (left).

Bravo cameras have been filming Melissa, Giuseppe and their three young kids (two boys and a girl) for several weeks now, according to radaronline -- which quotes an insider as saying, "Teresa and Melissa don't get along . . . They don't speak."

How great is that?
Melissa, in fact, was said to be peeved that Teresa put the kibosh on allowing Antonia -- Melissa's daughter -- to ride in a limo with her cousin Gia to Gia's birthday party, which aired last season.

Can you say "dysfunctional family"?
The dark-haired, statuesque Melissa has been married to Giuseppe for six years and was his secretary when he ran his landscaping business. She recently gave birth to their second son.

The Gorgas sold their Franklin Lakes home for $2.5 million in 2006, and their 13,500-square-foot, 16-room Montville estate is said to be twice the size of Teresa and Joe's Towaco McMansion -- perhaps adding to materialistic Teresa's angst.
It's not clear when Giuseppe gave up landscaping for real estate, but he's obviously found a lot of success -- and some trouble -- in his second career.

According to a July 21, 2006 article in The Herald News, which covers Passaic County, Giuseppe coughed up $57,000 for two vacant lots in a rundown section of Paterson, NJ as part of the city's Redevelopment Plan.
But things went awry when contractors stopped showing up to build the houses -- leaving them partially constructed.
Neighbors described the two houses as "crack houses, outhouses and flophouses for users, squatters and hookers."

A Bravo rep would only say yesterday that the "Housewives of NJ" will return next season.

Don't blame it all on Danielle Staub. Dina Manzo claimed she left "The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" second season in June because of Staub, the show's antagonist, but a source close to the 40-year-old Manzo tells us she split because of money, too.

Jacqueline Laurita revealed at the after-party for the opening night of "My Big Fat Gay Italian Wedding" (in which the ladies guest-starred) that she thinks "there were a lot of reasons Dina left the show."
Our insider tells us one reason was her disagreement about the network's financial setup and the salaries for the gals.
While the blond single mom hasn't spoken out about the topic directly, she did mention at the fete, held at Etcera Etcera restaurant, that it wasn't her "ideal contract."

Jersey Girls Promo For "My Big Gay Italian Wedding"

Dina Only Watched Half Of The Reunion

Post from People.

“I watched half,” Manzo told PEOPLE Wednesday at a party for My Big Gay Italian Wedding, the Off-Broadway play she is producing to benefit the Marriage Equality of New York organization. “I got annoyed and turned it off.”

“I was invited to be there and I chose not to be there,” said Manzo, who left the show mid-season.

In recent months, Dina has accused her former castmate (and adversary) Danielle Staub, of trying to manipulate her ex-husband, the father of her daughter, Lexi, and interfere with the co-parents’ relationship.

When Danielle mentioned Dina during the reunion special, Dina’s protective older sister, Caroline Manzo, shot back, “Do not speak of my sister!”
“I just wish my name didn’t come up and, of course, that my daughter didn’t come up,” said Dina, who says she doesn’t regret leaving the show. “It’s all bull—t and there’s a line between life and entertainment, and I think the line was crossed.”

These days her time is focused on family and the foundation she founded for children with cancer, Project Ladybug. “I’m really enjoying what I’m doing now,” Manzo said, “food shopping, cleaning and taking my daughter to tennis.”
