Bravo Not Involved With Salahi RHODC Premiere Party

From The Washington Post.

It wouldn't be a season of "Real Housewives" without a social disgrace or two, a little cocktail party condemnation of some kind, would it? It's happening in real life, with Bravo denouncing an event, thrown by a pal of Tareq and Michaele Salahi, that claimed to be the "official" premiere party for the new D.C.-based season.

Several of the 'Wives were upset to see their images used in the fliers for the party at EFN Lounge, which they say they're not attending. And on Friday, Bravo released a statement Friday declaring that the EFN party -- with ticket prices from $25 to $500 -- is not an official event at all.

"NBC Universal and Bravo have not sanctioned and are not involved," in the nightclub promotion, the statement said. "Any assertions otherwise are false."

Howard Cromwell, promoter of the EFN party and proprietor of something called "D.C.'s Most Fabulous Magazine" (don't worry, we hadn't heard of it either), told us that he had amended his marketing materials in compliance with Bravo's demands. His Web site still promises that his party will be "hosted by Michaele Salahi"; the two have worked together on other events, including the Salahis' controversial America's Polo Cup. Will she be there? Who knows, but Bravo says all five Housewives will be at the real official premiere party, Thursday night at the Madison hotel. Don't try to buy tickets though -- it's invitation-only.
