RHONY Reunion Recap
My sister and I will be reviewing the RHONY reunion after all three parts have aired.
Bethenny getting married recap
From Monsters and Critics.
By: Krystin Rader/reality TV junkie.
In Bravo’s first spinoff of the “Real Housewives” franchise, we follow Bethenny Frankel on her journey into motherhood and marriage in “Bethenny, Getting Married?”
Bethenny is finally getting everything she has ever dreamed of: a booming career, a baby, and a loving relationship to boot.
The show begins with Bethenny walking in a star-studded charity fashion show during New York Fashion Week. Bethenny looks fabulous, flaunting her six-month pregnant belly with a surprisingly chipper attitude (at least in comparison to her Real Housewives persona).
Much like Bethenny’s personality, we see that her life is just as chaotic, abrupt, and scattered. She is constantly on the go and trying to accomplish a multitude of things at once.
First on the ‘to-do’ list is a search for a new intern to assist in her ever expanding empire. The criteria for the interns offer comedic
value on their own. At the top of the list is the applicant’s compatibility with dogs and babies. Oh, and a speciality in wedding planning won’t hurt.
Bethenny clearly doesn’t prescribe to the formal school of job interviewing. She rapid fires questions to the potential candidates, asking random questions from their food tastes to their feelings about “inappropriate behavior and lewd language.”
Finally, the standout candidate, Max, scores extra points for his background knowledge about Frankel and compatibility with Cookie, Frankel’s beloved furry companion.
Bethenny and Jason discuss future plans over dinner. Over the schizophrenic course of their conversation, the couple jumps topics from wedding size, the birth of their child, potential additional children, and Bethenny’s appointment with a ‘shrink’. Jason expresses his opinions regarding couples that go to counseling together, stating that “if you’re a couple and you need to go to counseling, it’s over.”
Bethenny visits her therapist for the first time in a preemptive move to handle her ever changing life. She admits to the challenges that she faces in balancing her career and personal life. We get a glimpse into Bethenny’s childhood as she describes the vast differences between the way she and Jason grew up.
We find out that Bethenny’s childhood is anything but ideal, having left her home for boarding school at the age of 14. She depicts her youth as being a veritable “circus” having been exposed to race tracks, gambling, drinking, and nightclubs from an early age.
Her therapist asks her to delve into the pain of her relationship with her father. She discusses her father’s early dismissal and rejection of her and attributing it to her inabilities to maintain an intimate relationship.
Bethenny and Jason’s personalities clash as they discuss the upcoming housewarming party. Jason, in true extrovert fashion, wants his long time friends to stay with them for the weekend of the housewarming party.
This is less than ideal for Bethenny who is clearly uncomfortable at dealing with large groups of people.
The couple quickly shifts gears and moves out of their argument as they choose their wedding bands. All seems to be well as they pick out bands that are true to form: Bethenny chooses a blingy, over-the-top band, while Jason chooses a solid, classic one.
As Bethenny and crew prepare for the housewarming party, Jason calls with news that his flight is delayed and he won't make it back in time. After a momentary panic, Bethenny rallies and goes on to host a fun party.
Even Real Housewife of New York, Alex McCord and her husband, Simon, make a cameo.
This first installment of "Bethenny, Getting Married?" is a promising addition to reality TV.

Sonja talks about her DUI and a toaster oven cookbook
Sonja talks to E!. And Fox News.
by Marc Malkin(E!)
Real Housewives of New York City's newest star Sonja Morgan may have recently been arrested for a DUI, but she's not telling her nine-year-old daughter about it just yet…
"She doesn't know about it," Morgan told me earlier today. "It's not something to discuss because nothing happened yet…It's a legal matter that I can't even really get into."
One thing she'll definitely talk to her daughter about? Toaster ovens.
Yes, toaster ovens.
"I'm working on a toaster oven cookbook with my daughter," Morgan revealed. "I've been using a toaster oven ever since my separation because it's just my daughter and I and maybe an au pair. I'm very busy trying to manage my house and daughter on my own so I said, 'I'm not going to do all this work and clean-up.'
"When you fire up that Viking you have to clean it after so we cook everything in a toaster oven," she continued. "It comes out gourmet!"
Morgan said she's not looking to get seriously involved with a new man anytime soon because she's not ready to commit. But that doesn't mean she doesn't get offers, including some suggestive fan mail!
"It was from a woman who said, 'Oh, I couldn't stop staring at your butt when you jumped on Kelly [Bensimon]," Morgan said. "She said, 'I'm totally straight, but my husband will give me a pass, if you know what I mean.'"

Luann talks to E about Bethenny and her romantic future.

Real Housewives of New York's Countess LuAnn de Lesseps first marriage didn't end happily ever after, but that doesn't mean she's ruling out another walk down the aisle to her current French beau Jacques Azoulay.
"You never know," she told me this morning while prepping to shoot an episode of The Dish for the Style network. "Never say never!"
We never thought we'd hear LuAnn giving props to fellow Housewife Bethenny Frankel, who called her "a snake" this season, but she gave the new mom's spinoff series her stamp of approval and even defended her rapid post-baby slimdown...
"People were saying that she's not setting a good example by losing so weight so quickly, but everyone's different," LuAnn told me.
"She was breastfeeding and I think that really helps to bring your shape back. And she didn't gain much weight to begin with so she didn't have that much to lose...except for the baby itself!"
The Countess also said she reached out to fellow castmate Sonja Morgan after her DUI.
"She's just trying to get past it," she explained. "The Hamptons is highly policed and that's why we love it, because it's safe. But if you just slightly roll through a stop sign, they'll pull you over...I think she's used to New York and you don't have to drive in New York."
As for whether the Countess will be back for another season, she says she's open to it but hasn't been asked yet.
In the meantime, she's working on a second single called "Chic C'est La Vie" and hoping to eventually record an album.
And she already knows which artist she'd love to collaborate with...
"It'd be fun to do something with [Lady] Gaga," she said. "The Lady and the Countess

Is Dina-RHONJ leaving?
Check out is article from People.

In the wake of an announcement by Bravo that one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be leaving the show for good, it’s looking more and more like that Housewife is Dina Manzo.
Manzo, an interior decorator and founder of the Project Ladybug charity, recently shared a scene with rival Danielle Staub on the show, saying, “I’m done with this.”
In another indicator, Manzo, 39, is booked for an interview on Monday night with Bravo’s Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, a talk show where the network’s reality stars often go to dish about recent on-air developments.
And while viewers have seen much less of Manzo this season, she’s also made it clear that she’s become increasingly uncomfortable with the attention — and the drama — that comes with being a Housewife.
“I don’t like drama. I’ve never had drama in my life. I grew up with a great family and very protected. So I’m not used to that,” she told PEOPLE at the start of season 2. “I never even had a fight with my girlfriends ever. It’s so not me to be confrontational. If I meet someone and they rub me the wrong way, I just don’t engage from there on in.”
In the first season, Manzo famously clashed with Staub, who accused her of revealing secrets of her embarrassing past. “I was pretty mortified,” Manzo said of the show’s explosive, table-flipping finale. “I was shaking. I don’t enjoy that at all.”
Manzo has also been the victim of threats since the show first aired. “I’m not pointing fingers but there definitely was some stuff that went on that was kind of freaky,” says Manzo, who received threatening notes and emails and had her mailbox vandalized. “I was spending all this money trying to get it traced and so I decided to put all the money into security instead and got cameras everywhere. I sound cool about it now only because it’s like Fort Knox at my house. Nobody’s getting anywhere.”
Despite the drama, Manzo said she has “no regrets” about appearing on Real Housewives. Not only has the exposure helped make Project Ladybug a national cancer charity, she feels a positive change in her life. “At the end of the day, I think it makes you a better person, more forgiving, more understanding,” she said. “But I don’t ever want to go back to that kind of situation again.”
If Manzo makes her exit on Monday’s show, it won’t come as a surprise for most PEOPLE.com readers, who overwhelmingly chose Dina as the Housewife they suspected would be leaving the show in a poll, with more than 55 percent saying she’d likely had enough.

Teresa's mansion up for sale, then pulled off the market
Article about Teresa's mansion.
By: Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger
Share UPDATE: The listing was pulled Friday morning, and Giudice tweets it's not for sale but doesn't address why it was on the market to begin with. A representative from Farmbrook Realty, which apparently had the listing, says, "I don't have anything to say about it."
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice is trying to unload her Towaco chateau for $3.99 million. Giudice and husband Joe filed for bankruptcy in October, claiming they owe more than $8 million, and though the papers made it appear they wanted to hold on their main house -- they agreed to sell two other, smaller homes they own -- it looks like that ain't happening.
The 10,000-square-foot house is set back from the road on 3.77 acres -- perfect for ATVing without a helmet, apparently -- and has six bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms (the master bath has a fireplace, Jacuzzi, and steam shower; it makes scrubbing off the schadenfreude that much easier), a three-car garage, game room, wine room (where Joe vints his own), maid quarters, and a gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar, a separate breakfast room and a formal dining. (The more tables to flip, the merrier!)
"Privacy and tranquility reigns," according to the listing, which means the Giudices must have moved out already!
BRAVO'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice and her baby daughter Audriana. Among the Guidice's debts: nearly $12,000 to an in vitro fertilization clinic, even though Teresa asked husband Joe to get a vasectomy in a recent episode.

LA Times RHONY part 1 recap/review
Good recap/review of the RHONY part 1 reunion show.
By:Yvonne Villarreal
To the lady readers of this post: Cross your legs before proceeding.
A three-part reunion? Like, Bravo, are you serious? Should I be expecting a special appearance by jelly beans and lollipops, in which the camera will focus on the candied treats for minutes to kill time? There is no reason -- NONE -- for a three-part special. I can barely tolerate the two-part specials that have become the norm. At this point, I'm waiting for Bravo to start making these things into movies with random trips to Abu Dhabi. Wait. Has that been done? Don't get me wrong. I most certainly enjoyed Part One of the gathering. But I would have LOVED it had it been an hour of every amazingly awesome moment from the three parts crammed into one. I’m an addict, I know.
But there is no thinking. There is no breathing. I have a job to do.
So let's break down it all down into satchels of gold:
-- We were again given the delightful replay of Alex's awesomely absurd statement heard 'round the world -- at least, in the parts that get Bravo: "While you are in high school, I am in Brooklyn." It never gets old.
-- In the midst of Alex trying to explain her new lease on meanness (or frankness), she also got a lesson on how to sit without her woohoo showing. And who would have thought that lesson would come from Kelly? The Department of Pants and Leggings hasn't provided her much protection this season.
-- When Alex politely snapped at LuAnn with, "Let me finish, dear," I was half expecting LuAnn to jump to her feet and break into an Auto-Tune-laced song with lyrics like, "'Dear' doesn't make you chic' or 'A lady says dahhhhling, my friend."
-- Two words: Turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttle time. I'm not usually a fan of all the montages from the season. The episodes just aired. I don't need a reminder. But when it comes to the Ramona bits, I get pretty giddy with joy.
-- Another two words: Pronounced eyes. Thanks, Andy Cohen, for finding a polite way to describe Ramona's ogglers. That was pure bliss.
-- More from the Ramona Coaster. The pronounced-eyed Cameron Diaz wannabe explained that she regretted her harshness toward Bethenny on the Brooklyn Bridge: "If I had to erase one comment out of all my comments, that's the one." Kelly, of course, jumped in: "Oh really, not that I'm stupid?" Oh, Kelly, you must have been imagining doing cartwheels. Ramona was talking about things she regretted saying!
-- The major conflict this season has been the atrociously overplayed fight between ex-best friends Bethenny and Jill. It's still very much unresolved, but the only one who seems to care is Jill. The back-and-forth exchanges were excruciating to watch. And viewers got more back story to their division. Bethenny claimed that the main factor leading to the demise of their relationship was Jill allowing the "fame" go to her head, an accusation that Bethenny (whose spinoff show documenting her pregnancy and marriage premiered after the reunion special) also faced. Oh, and there was that little mention of Jill's apparent sabotage: She told the other Housewives not to film with Bethenny. Jealous much?
-- Did anyone else catch the chillingly terrifying look Kelly gave LuAnn after the songstress called her "a little rabbit in the woods"? It was as if Kelly had to calm herself down by imagining unprocessed gummy bears growing on vines.
-- An honorable mention to viewers for providing the best (most unnecessary) questions/statements: "Alex, what's with the hives?" and "Simon seems bloated this season." They were things I didn't even know I cared to know.
So ShowTrackers, what did you think of the first part of the reunion? Should there be three parts to this thing? Are you excited for Round Two? The drama continues as Kelly tells Ramona that her "blood type is Pinot Grigio" -- aw, she's trying to be witty! And Sonja makes an appearance! Until then, share your favorite moments from Part One of the special or from the season in the comments section.

Jill has a sex tape?
Article from E online about Jill maybe having a sex tape.
by Marc Malkin
You'd think after being reduced to tears and stomping off the set of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion last night, Jill Zarin would want nothing more to do with the show.
But no. She tells me there's still more Housewives left in her. However, she would like to see some changes…
"I think a lot of things have to be discussed," Zarin said.
Like what?
"If it's just about fighting and angry mean girls and that's all it is about, that's not who I am," she explained. "But Bravo hasn't asked me back yet, so I don't know what their plans are. So who knows?"
As you may have read, Zarin says she's been targeted by some rather hateful mail ever since the collapse of her and Bethenny Frankel's friendship became a highlight of the show.
She declined to go into details, but she said, "I will do what I am legally allowed to do to protect myself and my family. I've contacted the right authorities. The reason I went public with it is to tell people if someone is doing it to you, you need to stand up."
And of course, as with all reality television stars these days, I had to ask Zarin if she has a secret sex tape.
"Do I have my own personal library? No," she answered with a laugh, "but are there things possible in a vault that we own that are personal? Maybe."
She added, "A lot of people have hot videos of themselves that they don't want published. People who say they don't or wouldn't, I don't know if I believe them."

During an appearance on "The View" Thursday, Frankel said she could not be compared to the infamous reality show star because she has made "a real career" out of her time in the spotlight.
"I think she's an interesting example because she used [her time on a reality show] to be infamous," Frankel said of Manigault-Stallworth. "I have a real career. I have a brand, I have a very popular cocktail, I have two New York Times Bestsellers, I have my own show."
Angered by Frankel's comments, Omarosa came out swinging.
"The gloves are off," she told PerezHilton.com. "Bethenny's comments about me and my career on VIEW today were unprovoked anduncalled for. I have always been cool with Bethenny and we have never has any beef."
"Today she tried to act like her show was superior to my new show and her book was superior to my book or her career was superior," she continued. "I was surprised that she went there with me!! She got her start or the Apprentice just like me. She is on a NBC show just like I was. She is making a living in the world of reality just like me."
Omarosa not only claimed that Frankel's husband, Jason Hoppy, is gay, but she also accused the new mom of having a tummy tuck after giving birth in March.
"I have never once said a bad word about her or all of the rumor swirling around about Jason and his sexuality," Manigault-Stallworth said. "EVERYONE knows he's gay but we never said anything- because she was HAPPY."
She added, "When she got a tummy tuck with her c-section after the baby and pretended that she just LOST the baby weight NATURALLY - none of us said anything because she was happy."
Bethenny, 39, has insisted that she naturally lost 29-pounds only three weeks after giving birth to daughter Bryn on May 8.
"Bethenny needs a reality check!!" Manigault-Stallworth said. "Bethenny, Karma is a BITCH and so are you!!"
