Brad And The Real Housewives

Excerpts from Brad's article, he writes for FocusOnStyle.

Reality TV Stars and A List Celebrities Fancy Weekend Festivities With Brad Boles
Gossip, Gossip, Gossip in The Hamptons: New Jersey and New York Housewives, Rolls-Royce, Polo, A-List Celebrities, and even more reality stars!

By: Brad Boles
The Hamptons were crawling with Real Housewives from New York and New Jersey (together!), tons of major A-List stars, and more reality show stars than you could fill the parking lot that was presently full of a Rolls-Royce or two or three.

Housewife Extravaganza!

The weekend out East started with a fabulous party hosted by my girl Jill Zarin at Lilly Pond in East Hampton. The Real Housewife form New York City’s equally wonderful houseguest Caroline Manzo and her daughter Lauren Manzo, from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

The place was packed with the likes of Georgina Bloomberg – that’s New York Mayor Bloomberg’s daughter-- and man of the weekend, basketball star Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat who seemed to be everywhere!

BTW: Ramona Singer talked Caroline’s ear off all night long... I can't imagine what they could have in common other than being part of the Real Housewives franchise?

On Saturday things really kicked into high gear. The day started with a party for Rolls-Royce. Jill, Caroline, Bobby and I took the new Rolls-Royce Ghost for a spin!

The event crowd was stellar-- with the likes of Alec Baldwin, Chris Bosh, the ever-gorgeous Caymanian model Selita Ebanks, and Russell Simmons hanging out.

After rolling with Rolls-Royce, it was off to Bridgehampton Polo as a guest of Todd Rome who's company Blue Star Jet is the polo field’s sponsor.

I ran into Kourtney Kardashian and her baby daddy Scott Disick there. Now mind you, it was almost 102 degrees even in the VIP Swag Lounge! In that crazy heat, Scott was wearing a jacket. “Why, “Jill asked, “why?”

"Because I look good," Scott replied. Ok, whatever Scott, maybe your internal thermometer is different than the rest of ours!

Bethenny Frankel was at the event and looked slim and sexy in a black and white number with a big hat fit for Ascot! She gave me a hug and I’m not sure why.

Metrosexual extraordinaire Rob Siegel joined me in the Blue Star Enclosure with the likes of my divine and outrageously funny friend George Wayne. I know George as GW, you may know him as the guy with the scandalous column in Vanity Fair Magazine. Boy, did we have a laugh reminiscing about rather unique interview situation that GW had with Ariana Huffington many years ago that had him speed dialing Graydon Carter!

The next stop was in East Hampton and over to London Jewelers for the jewelry launch of my girlfriend Lisa Gastineau and her sexy daughter Brittny’s new collection. What a beautiful pair mom and daughter are and an equally stunning collection of jewelry.

FYI: Jill and I appeared in Season 2 of “The Gastinau Girls” as I decorated their apartment right down to a Moroccan dining room along with Zarin Fabrics.

I bumped into Caroline's sister Dina Manzo and she told me that she hightailed it out of NJ for the tony East End... it looks like she is having the best time and wants an ocean front estate next summer!

By the time we left the Gastinau event, Jill's feet were in such bad shape that Bobby had to get the car while Jill, Caroline and Ally sat on a bench on the street with shoes in hand. Boy, the fans were loving that photo op! That's kind or ironic since Sharon's feet were mutilated by her shoes when we met at Fashion Night Out... could I be responsible for killing woman's feet?!

More High Rollers...

Next stop was the Watermill Summer Benefit where I couldn't stay for dinner but shared a catch up with Sharon Stone.

The last time that I saw the gorgeous Sharon was at Les Caves Du Roy in ST. Tropez. The fabulous Sharon (yes, our FocusOnStyle Sharon here is equally fabulous!) was dancing on a table top with Denise Rich and Dame Shirley Bassey all the while Rupert Everett and I dished about what happened when he worked with Madonna on the filming of “The Next Best Thing.” Anyway, they have since made up and that’s all history.

Then it was off to ART FOR LIFE BENEFIT hosted by Russell Simmons. The East End hasn't seen this many singers and producers on one manicured lawn in years! Alicia Keys was there and looked amazing with her baby bump. I ran into the ever-glamorous Kelly Killoren Bensimon... does that girl ever stop?

Bombay Sapphire sponsored the event and the valet was parking was jammed with Rolls-Royce’s, Bentley's, Maserati’s and Lamborghini Diablo's that it filled three tree lined lane's-- on both right and left side! It took over forty minutes to get my car.

Stylist for a one of The Real Housewives of New Jersey...

On Sunday morning, Jill rang me up with a pressing fashion emergency. It turns out Caroline Manzo has slimmed down so much that nothing fits. She was booked on the Isaac Mizarhi show the following morning and needed something fab to wear.

We dashed off to the Diane Von Furstenburg boutique in Southampton. The first dress that I pulled was the one... I'm talking RED CARPET perfect. After a bit more shopping, Jill and I spent the afternoon jet skiing in Mecox Bay with a stop by from GW on his way back to New York City to interview Jimmy Fallon for Vanity Fair. And, how was your weekend?

My fashion tip this week for the ladies...

With this insanely hot weather, hats are the fashion must-have item of the week. My picks for the summer are big floppy brims in bold colors. Throw on a fab pair of sunglasses like the ones from DVF with the glitter lips on the side.

Ladies, I know it’s hot but please loose the Birkenstocks... they are so Linda Evangilista 10 years ago! Go for a hot pair of Hermes sandals adorned with a big H or anything less granola.

We will see you out east soon! – Brad Boles

A Fresh Start
Teresa Giudice

Hello Baby Dolls!

Alright, I'm going to dive right in here. I don't read the tabloids and I've been spending my days with my four little girls, so I really only heard about all the new stories circulating about me late last night from my fans. Thank you all for the heads up, for the wonderful wishes and prayers!

Since I don't really pay attention to the gossip, I don't usually respond to it, but I've gotten so many questions from you all that I want to let you guys know the truth.

As you know, Joe and I filed for bankruptcy protection back in October 2009 primarily because of real estate deals gone bad in a bad economy. We didn't spend millions of dollars on gold toilets or private planes. We bought buildings, fixed them up, and tried to help other people start their own businesses or be able to afford an apartment. The economy crash trickled down to everyone. We worked so hard for so many years and it was heartbreaking to file, and not something we took lightly. Of course you can't sit in your bed and just cry all day, so we moved forward, got new jobs, and are working hard once again. The point is to get a fresh start so you can move forward.

If we didn't give fresh starts to people, we wouldn't have the following great American companies that were only able to be created after their owners' filed bankruptcy: The Walt Disney Company, Hilton Hotels, Hershey's chocolates, Macy's department stores, Heinz ketchup and even WalMart. If Sam Walton hadn't filed bankruptcy after his first store failed, he wouldn't have been able to build the largest company in the world that employs more people than any other: 2 million!

But it's not a fun or an easy process. If you've ever been unfortunate enough to be involved in a legal situation, you know it's a lot of back and forth between both sides. Right now, our bankruptcy trustee is trying to get an auction going, and our lawyer is objecting it. Every day, there are new tactics used, stories circulated, and details "leaked" to the press, but it's all part of the legal wrangling. All I can do is rise above it, keep my head high, and know that at the end of the day, I have my family, my health, and I'm in God's hands. Nothing else matters, certainly not a lamp.

As for the story that I wanted money to appear at a charity event, completely false. I have never charged to appear at a charity event, nor do I accept anything for helping charities. And I help as many charities as I possibly can. I'm actively involved in Project Ladybug, but also Pancreatic Cancer, Autism, AID FOR AIDS International, the Red Cross, and Clean the World. I'm giving up Labor Day weekend with my kids to appear in My Big Gay Italian Wedding for charity for four days in a row. And I'm so honored and happy to do it.

I've never heard of the shelter that's complaining about me, but they called the person who books me in clubs and he told them he doesn't do charity, and to contact me directly. It's very easy to get a hold of me at my website, and I do check every email. I can't help every single charity that asks of course, but I do as I many as I can. I have no idea why this charity would try and bash me in the press, unless they were looking for press, which they obviously got. I did notice that Danielle was in attendance at this particular event…. Coincidence? Hmmm….

So let's talk about this week's episode. I actually really liked it. It was a nice change from the constant drama to just get a peek into everyone's life. I can't believe I've been married for 10 (well 10 and half years now) to Joe. We had a great anniversary.

You also got to see how we hang around and play games with our kids. Weren't they so cute playing Monopoly? And Milania had to be the shoe. Of course!

I also really liked seeing Christine's Sweet 16 Party. She is a beautiful girl, but you can tell she's counting down the days until she can leave that house. Poor Jillian has a little longer to wait. We finally got to meet their dad, and I think it's obvious where they got their good looks from! Jillian singing was so sweet, but it nearly broke my heart that Danielle was pushing her so hard. Of course, Danielle turned everything back around to her. Typical. I thought it was creepy that she would wear her engagement ring just to make a statement to her ex-husband's new wife. Sad.

Funniest line of the episode: Danielle, "I am the best mother in the world." I really can't even make that even funnier. I'll just leave it to stand on its own.

Thank you all for your continued support! My book signings are starting to feel like rock concerts! Over 1,000 people are showing up and they are having to close the streets! But I always stay and meet every single person, even if it's after midnight. And I do have the most fabulous, beautiful fans in the world!!!!

I’m hard at work on my next book, a follow-up with Skinny Italian. It’s going to be fabulous! I can’t wait! Visit me on my website www.teresagiudice.com , or join my Fan page on Facebook (I’ve maxed out on friends so they won’t let me accept anymore, I’m so sorry, but you can "like" me), and follow me on Twitter @teresa_giudice.

Jill and Caroline Becoming Best Friends?

Post from Hollywood Life.

Doesn’t this strike you as a little weird, BFFs? Caroline decided to vacation with Jill instead of her own sister, Dina, who just so happened to leave the Real Housewives of New Jersey last season!

Is Caroline Manzo trading her own sister in for another Real Housewives star? It certainly seems that way! Instead of staying with her sister, Dina, in the Hamptons last weekend, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star stayed with a different Housewife - NYC’s Jill Zarin!

“Dina had rented a house for the entire week, but her big sis Caroline opted to stay with Jill!” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

Very odd indeed – especially given that Dina left the show last season because of a feud with fellow cast member Danielle Staub - but there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the sisters. The siblings still partied together at socialite Brittny Gastineau’s Tres Glam trunk show July 23 at London Jewelers before heading on to upscale East Hampton nightclub Lily Pond.

“Dina and Caroline were dancing like crazy on stage,” says our source. ” Jill and Bobby Zarin, Ramona Singer and [her husband] Mario were there, too. They were all sitting in a booth taking pictures and talking. They all seemed to be getting along.”

Whether or not Dina minded that her sister had a new partner-in-crime, Jill and Caroline’s friendship has definitely escalated to BFF status. The two continued to party together throughout the weekend heading to upscale East Hampton eatery Georgica July 24 for blogger Micah Jesse’s birthday bash. Relays our source, “Caroline and Jill were inseparable at that party, too!”

Bethenny's Beauty Secrets

Bethenny Frankel’s Beauty Secrets

As most of you already know, Bethenny Frankel—star of Bravo’s insanely successful Bethenny Getting Married?—isn’t one to feel self-conscious. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t conscientious—especially when it comes to her beauty routine. This 39-year-old new mommy wore high heels and mini-dresses for most of her pregnancy. Her secret for avoiding cankels? “SPONGE Skincare Anti-Fatigue Leg Cream! It helped my legs feel invigorated and less swollen. I think showing a little leg during pregnancy is sexy, but not if you’re limping around,” she told us. She’s also a fan of the line’s Lavender Aromatherapy Mist: “Right after a bath when I’m winding down for bed the lavender scent really quiets everything down.” We’ll take one of each—along with a Skinnygirl Margarita, of course.

Lisa Wu Hartwell Is Leaving The RHOA

Article from BV Buzz.

Lisa Wu Hartwell: Leaving 'Real Housewives of ATL'

By Jawn Murray
BV Buzz can report exclusively that 'Real Housewives of ATL' star Lisa Wu Hartwell is leaving the hit Bravo reality series.

Speculation that the originating cast member from the 'ATL' franchise was leaving the show began earlier this spring when talk that she was only shooting on a limited production schedule surfaced online.

Now BV Buzz has learned that the 38-year-old real estate mogul, who is currently married to retired NFL star Ed Hartwell, parted with Bravo "amicably" over "creative differences."

"They basically wanted to script elements of Lisa's life and make her amp up the drama. She wasn't with that at all. Lisa felt like if her real life alone wasn't enough for the network, then maybe it was time for her to go," a source close the production told BV Buzz.

Hartwell, the ex-wife of R&B singer Keith Sweat, will be featured on "as many as three" episodes of the new season; however she will not be featured in the season three photos and opening visuals.

"The part where the ladies hold the peaches when the show opens up, she didn't participate in that shoot," the source added.

Hartwell I'm told "feels good" about leaving the show – though her rep would not comment on our story – and apparently already has several post-'Real Housewives' gigs lined up.

Hartwell shot a film called 'Black Ball' that's coming out and begins production on another movie opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Los Angeles starting in late Aug.

The biracial star – she's half Chinese and Afro-Caribbean – also debuted her first book, 'When The Cake Is Already Made' during the Essence Music Festival this past July.

The the Inglewood, Calif.-bred mother of three is the second original 'Real Housewives of ATL' star to leave the series. After season one, Bravo replaced former NBA wife DeShawn Snow after declaring she was "boring" on the series. Her slot was filled by singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss.

When season three of the NAACP Image Award-nominated series returns to Bravo in Oct., the show will feature the addition of two new housewives – attorney Phaedra Parks and former model Cynthia Bailey.

Bravo had not returned requests for comment at press time.

Press release from NBC.

BRAVO WORKS IT OUT WITH NEW DOCU-SERIES, "THINTERVENTION WITH JACKIE WARNER" PREMIERING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 AT 10 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK – July 27, 2010 - Bravo announces the series premiere of “Thintervention with Jackie Warner,” an emotional and lifestyle changing new docu-series inspired by renowned fitness expert Jackie Warner’s mission to change lives through healthy habits. "Thintervention with Jackie Warner" premieres Monday, September 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

In “Thintervention,” Warner of the Bravo series “Work Out” will do what she does best – kick butt and inspire drastic lifestyle changes for her overweight clients who are struggling to lose weight and get healthy for good. Warner will push them to their limit at her gym and inspire them with intense workouts at amazing locations. Not sent to a weight loss camp or facility, instead Warner works with them in their real lives surrounded by the everyday distractions and stresses of family and work, making the chances for long-term success greater. Progress will be checked through group therapy and weekly weigh-ins. Warner will do whatever it takes to keep her clients on track - even if it means surprise ambushes at their homes, work or when out socializing.

In typical Warner boot camp style, she will accept nothing less than full commitment to change and will confront those that do not show her they are sincere with their fitness goals. Warner's eight clients include a cocktail loving “life advisor”, a stand up comedian who uses humor to deflect attention from her weight, an independent film producer who hides food from his boyfriend and an ex-“Housewife” and former Playmate center fold:

Alex and Simon In Philly On Fox

Post/Video from My Fox Philly.com

They hit the beach in St. Bart's. They're the toast of New York. But when they get home, there are two little ones waiting. Alex McCord and her husband, Simon, have written a parenting book titled "Little Kids Big City." Alex -- who is also a new People Magazine blogger -- joined Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick on Tuesday morning. She discussed the book, the differences between city and country kids, as well as everyone's guilty pleasure, the "Real Housewives of New York" and this season's group from New Jersey.

A Glimmer of Remorse?
Hello again, episode 12, time is flying by, and we're still going strong thanks to all of you. Just wanted to give you all a well-deserved shout out for watching every week. I APPRECIATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.

OK, let's get down to business. I think I’ll begin with Teresa and Joe playing Monopoly with the "ripped" board. How cute are those kids? I loved it when Gabriella told Joe that he should buy Teresa flowers and chocolates for their anniversary. Joe is constantly hugging and kissing those girls, they have him completely wrapped around their little fingers. They are Daddy’s girls for sure. My favorite line of the whole anniversary scene was Joe's, "The Hamptons are closed."

FANTASTIC. Wait a minute, I just remembered the poem that was great too. Teresa wanted to be "wowed" and I think Joe went above and beyond. As Teresa says, "Love is, everyone has eyes, F it, Joe is hot." Happy Anniversary guys, many, many more. Xoxo.

I just want to give a quick "way to go" mention to Jillian for stepping out of her comfort zone and singing in front of everyone. She was absolutely adorable. Good for her.

Ashley, Ashley, Ashley. What are we going to do with you?

As I watch week after week I am looking for a glimmer of remorse. I'm beginning to lose hope. I have to admit, we made huge strides today. I'm not sure how many of you have Facebook or tweet, but Ashley was giving live commentary throughout the episode. She acknowledged the fact that her behavior was out of line and she was embarrassed by it. Guess what? I'll take it. Hopefully as the episodes unfold Ashley will learn a very valuable lesson. As reality show participants we have the unique opportunity to view ourselves from the outside looking in. I'm hoping that Ashley will look at her behavior along with her attitude towards Jacqueline and make a conscious effort to move in a positive direction. I said it before, and I'll say it again. I see good in Ashley, I've been pretty accurate in my observations so far. Hey Ashley, if you're reading this don't disappoint me, I have faith in you, make me proud. Xoxo.

I hope I made sense to all of you regarding my position on Jacqueline's relationship with Kim G. Although Jacqueline didn't seem to have issues with Kim, I needed her to understand that less is more in this particular instance. Kim was representing herself as a friend to everyone. I didn't see how that could be possible. Again, she had a window into our world, I don't care if we sat around playing tidily winks, the last thing we needed was stories being told. It's like the game telephone, in the end it's one big screwed up message. I think we've had enough of that, don't you?

My kids, what can I say? They make me laugh. I loved watching the scene in the gym. Trust me, there are more of those moments than I can count. For this I am very grateful. I'm sure many of you would agree, there is no better sound than the sound of your children’s laughter. It doesn't matter how old they are, it's priceless. When Albie made the comment about being a positive role model for Christopher and Lauren he was telling the truth. He consistently tries to set a good example and has shown it through his actions time and again. I always say that somewhere, sometime in my life I must have done something good because God has blessed me with three beautiful children. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaking of Albie, let me explain his decision to enroll in the police academy. Albie interned throughout his tenure at Fordham University and the summer before entering law school at two legal firms, one in New Jersey, and one in New York. He wanted a hands on approach to the law, and he learned so much by putting himself in the thick of things. Albie is not one to let grass grow under his feet. He has a very proactive attitude. Even though his future in the legal field was uncertain at best, it was important to Albie to keep his finger on the pulse of the law, and joining the police academy seemed to be a good fit. By doing so, he would learn NJ state law from the perspective of law enforcement. It involves six months of intensive training in all fields of law enforcement - very much like a boot camp. As a side note, this is for the Deputy Division of the Passaic County Sheriff's Department. This division is comprised of volunteers who go through the exact same training course and have to meet the exact same requirements as a regular Sheriff's Officer. One exception, they don't get paid. Albie will be required to serve a minimum of 20 hours a month to the County of Passaic as a Deputy Sheriff's Officer.

I'm happy to see him moving forward while keeping is eye on the ball. Way to go Albie. P.S. I've seen him in uniform, like I said, ADORABLE.

I think I covered everything. If I didn't, what can I say, it's 2:48 a.m. right now, and I'm about to fizzle out. So as always, thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you back here next week!

Xoxo

Alex and Simon Visit The Jersey Shore

Article from Capital NY.

'Real Housewives' meet Jersey shore
By Joe Pompeo
The Jersey shore’s reputation hasn’t exactly been enhanced by the absurdly popular MTV reality show of the same name, the second season of which debuts July 29. But that didn’t deter two stars from an ostensibly classier reality show—one whose social-climbing cast members are not infrequently filmed traipsing around the Hamptons—from paying a visit the weekend before.

“Because we’re on a reality TV show, we know not to judge a place by the way it’s presented on TV,” said Simon van Kempen, from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City. It was a little before 5 p.m. on Saturday, and van Kempen was on the Asbury Park boardwalk, sitting next to his wife and fellow cast member, Alex McCord, in a precious little housewares boutique. “This is not Snooki and Situation Land, really.”

Photo:Edward Garou
Actually, Seaside Heights, the town where Jersey Shore is filmed, is Snooki and Situation Land. Every summer, hordes of orange-skinned 20-somethings, just like the ones portrayed on the show, flock there to drink copious amounts of flavored Absolut and perform house-music-induced mating rituals inside sweaty clubs where the booze is served in plastic cups. But things are different in Asbury Park, the storied, steadily gentrifying shore resort.

McCord and van Kempen had made the trip down to Asbury at the behest of some friends from New York who have been summering there for the past few years. One of them, Joseph Magnone, a Housing Works board member, got in touch with Shep Pettibone, the one-time Madonna producer, about putting the couple up in the legendary Empress Hotel, which Pettibone bought and restored in 1998, helping to kick off Asbury’s gay-friendly comeback. Magnone also called his friends at Bodega Shoppe, the aforementioned boutique, to arrange a late afternoon signing of the couple’s new parenting book, Little Kids, Big City.

A fashion and style publicist named Aaron Coleman, who lived in Asbury for 10 years before moving to Manhattan last month, got involved and expanded the whole thing into an all-day, cross-promotional bonanza with local businesses and city officials. McCord and van Kempen would get press for their book. Asbury Park would get press for itself. Everybody wins.

Their day began downtown with hair and makeup. Then they stopped at two local boutiques, where McCord was fitted in a silky pale dress and bright gold heels, and van Kempen in a nautical-looking light-blue button-down, knee-length dark-blue shorts, and blue Sperry Top-Siders.

“I was wearing pink ones earlier today,” he said.

At around 2:30, after lunch at McCloone’s—which in its past life was a Howard Johnson’s—McCord, van Kempen and their young ones, Francois and Johan, boarded a golf cart and headed down the boardwalk with two locals, Teresa Minnick and Carol Avale, who work with the investment firm that’s been redeveloping it, Madison Marquette. The temperature had reached a skin-melting 102, and McCord was cooling herself off with a wicker fan.

“This is the first time in 25 years the entire boardwalk is leased out,” said Minnick, though her plug was drowned out by shouts from passing fans who seemed pleasantly surprised to see the Bravo stars cruising the boards.

“Hi Real Housewives! We live in Brooklyn, too!” one girl yelled.

Minnick offered some local gossip as they passed by The Stone Pony, a famous music venue. Bruce Springsteen—who lives a few towns north in far wealthier Rumson, but has long been a regular in Asbury—had made a surprise appearance there the night before to sit in with Alejandro Escovedo.

“So where is The Stone Pony?” McCord asked. Her tour guides pointed it out. Van Kempen turned around to check on the boys.

“Are you enjoying yourself, Francois?” he asked his son, who seemed more interested in the rock candy he was nibbling on.

After about ten minutes, the group arrived at Bodega Shoppe on the far southern end of the boardwalk, greeted by a few dozen fans with books in hand.

“Hey Simon, Jill said she’d be here any minute,” a mustachioed middle-aged beach bum joked as van Kempen entered the store, alluding to Jill Zarin, McCord’s rival housewife on the show.

“Ahhh. Great,” Simon said. He smiled and shook the guy’s hand.

After they got settled at a large wooden table inside the store, it was time for questions from the crowd. But first: “The hell with the Hamptons,” said a tan woman with cropped gray hair, “because this is where you should be. This is the great place. Asbury Park is great. This is where you need to be.”

“We’re having an amazing weekend here,” McCord replied. “It’s really wonderful. I’m sure we’ll be back.”

Then the signing started. Van Kempen picked up his BlackBerry. “I forgot to check in on Foursquare,” he said, tapping away on the keypad.

About an hour later, at around 4:30, things were winding down. The boutique’s owner brought McCord and van Kempen two glasses of champagne. They toasted and posed for a photo with him before sitting down to speak with a reporter, who was less interested in hearing about whether they would be appearing on a fourth Real Housewives season (it’s still up in the air) or whether they’d patched things up with Zarin (the answer is no) than he was in hearing what they were saying about the Boss.

“He’s always been around the people,” van Kempen said. “No matter how big he got, he never ceased being a guy from working class New Jersey, and being proud of that.”

“I think it’s great that he gets out of his house and goes and sings in a bar. It’s phenomenal,” McCord said. “Who can forget ‘Glory Days?’”

As for how the shore compares to the Hamptons: “I think that perhaps there is an energy that—although people aren’t necessarily working in the Hamptons, they are still networking in the Hamptons, trying to make the next big deal,” said McCord. “Here, it appears that people are really just on vacation.”

“It’s not as high-pressure,” van Kempen said.

Drama at Cynthia Bailey's-RHOA Wedding

The wedding of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" newcomer Cynthia Bailey started and ended in drama. The Saturday nuptials in Atlanta to restaurateur Peter Thomas was held up for 45 minutes by castmate Nene Leakes, who barged into Bailey's bridal suite and demanded her hair and makeup be done. Kim Zolciak then got into a tiff with her blond boy toy, who "was checking out a hot redhead while puffing a cigar. Kim caught him in the act," said a witness. Sheree Whitfield, Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks attended, but not Lisa Wu Hartwell, who we hear is being axed. Bravo had no comment.

Could Not Be More Proud

In tonight's episode, I couldn't be more proud of my daughter Christine for choosing to have her sweet 16 based solely upon giving back to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). She gave all of her birthday gifts directly to CFF. Everyone donated generously, some well beyond the suggested amount going directly to Robin, the head of the Hackensack Division for CFF. Thank you, Robin for all of the time you spent with me and my daughters, helping collect for a mutually important cause - one that us especially near to my heart because of my late adopted mother. May she rest in peace. Plus, six of my brothers, her sons. I want to thank Christine for doing this without hesitation or suggestion on my part. A special thanks goes to Christine's little sister, Jillian Marie (my youngest daughter) for writing and performing two of her original songs - one of which you heard this episode, "We Are Sisters," and the second of which you did not hear, "You Are Not Alone." Jillian had one month to prepare and rehearse, and then she performed these songs in front of 350 people plus all of you watching at home. I could not be more proud of both of my daughters. When Jillian took the stage, her sister Christine - in her way - asked everyone to "pay attention." Jillian, you did an amazing job. I know you were nervous and everyone will soon see how much you've grown in all the months since this episode aired. I just want to say thank you to Christine for allowing me to learn from you, not just with this, but with everything you do. You are both amazing daughters and my biggest gifts in life. I have a lot of people to thank, so pardon me for being informal, but I am going to list your names, because I couldn't have done this without each and every one of you. You donated your services and your time and went above and beyond what was asked of you. I certainly did not have a party planner. LOL!

First, I'd like to start with one of my oldest and dearest friends, Kathy Innoncenti, her husband Emil, and daughter Patrice, for designing the invitations and hand delivering them, helping to make certain that all 350 kids checked in on buses and arrived at the same time by personally checking them in and putting safety first. Special thanks to Cynthia Capone for helping and organizing and keeping in close contact with Robin from CFF. Very special thank you to Brian Nash (Jillian's vocal coach and friend) and musical director for the night. I think it's safe to say that none of this would have been possible without the extremely generous donation of the entire venue and hotel from David Weiss and Ed & Leslie Reagoso of The Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, NJ. You stopped your world for this Sweet 16 and we are forever grateful for the memories made on Dec. 4, 2009, for your generous donation of the entire menu, food and drink, for adults and children. All of the catering was by Billy Zonia of Wilshire Grand Catering. The food was amazing! For all of the furniture and decor that you see (and don't see)- Jersey Street Furniture. Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Thank you Steve Novich, so very, very much. Thank you David Roberts for your help with security. Special thanks to Eric Alt (Eric Alt Salon) www.ericaltsalon.com and "the princesses" were treated to an entire spa day from RED CARPET SPA by Jacqui Phillips and Pasquale! Thank you for this amazing treat for the girls! Victor Martinez, Mr. Olympia, thank you for carrying Christine on your shoulders. You may be the strongest man in the world, but you are our teddy bear. Thank you, Sarai and your husband for flying in to share this event. Congratulations Christine! Happy sweet 16!

Please go to cystic fibrosis foudation to see how you can help. Please check out my song "Real Close" on iTunes and keep an eye out for my music video, coming soon. Watch for more to come with me musically. Many labels are shopping me right now, if you are interested please contact my reps which are listed on my website. Thank you for supporting my book The Naked Truth. For more information about me, visit my website: www.Danielle-Staub.com. You can also view Christine's modeling portfolio and see her updated pictures on my website - click IMG models and it will take you on a virtual tour. Keep watching for Jillian Marie's new song "What You're Talking About" to be on iTunes very soon. Thank you to everyone who attended Christine's sweet 16 and all of our friends and our loved ones and to everyone who so generously donated their services and time. Christine, Jillian and I are forever grateful. All of my blessings to all of my friends and fans on Facebook and Twitter and a special thanks to Andy Cohen who keeps promoting my song "Real Close," making it climb higher and higher. I would also like to extend a special thank you to my entire team for keeping me together at all times and helping me to feel the real sense of family. I love you all. Christine, Jillian, Lori, Kristen, and Jo, every single day is better because you're in it!

Summer in the Hamptons 2010 Update
I can’t believe how time flies! Last I wrote, Ally had just come home from India and now I feel like the summer is almost over. We have tried to spend as much time as possible in the Hamptons.

It took me a while to decompress from the final episode of Real Housewives. I started doing Pilates again. I got lucky. The owner of a local pilates studio called me before I moved out here to see if I wanted to take classes. She got my number from someone I used to workout with. Smart women. I saved her message and when I moved out here I called her back. I liked that she reached out to me and thought I would try one session. We connected immediately and she really payed attention and cared. She let me play my own Ipod music. She loved it so much she asked me to put it on her ipod too! I think working out to good music really helps push you the extra mile. If you want, I can publish a good play list on the next blog! She got me motivated and I have been going 3 times a week. I have not cancelled one time (yet!) which is a big accomplishment for me. I have come up with the craziest excuses in the past. It changed my body immediately. I did pilates for 2 years and then stopped for 3. Muscle memory. It is true. It came back fast.

I wake up early, walk outside in my bathrobe to get the newspapers and set up yogurt, fruit and cereal on the counter for everyone to eat when they get up. This past weekend Lisa (my sister) came to visit. We walked to the Ocean (about 1/4 mile) and walked on the beach together for over an hour. We caught up and shared our fears and hopes with each other. We found the most beautiful rocks on the beach and picked out two. When I got back to the house I wrote Summer 2010 on each one to save. I hope to make this a tradition and one day give them to our girls to carry on the tradition. After we came home we walked next door to the farm to pick up fresh breads and more fruit and vegetables. On the way there we saw cows, horses, chickens and pigs. I drive down this street 10 times a day but never appreciate the beauty in nature unless I walk through it. I told Bobby I want to take the same walk with him tomorrow if it’s nice out. Bobby loves to walk and really loves the beach.

Bobby also loves to swim and can stay in the water for hours. I rarely do. But this past weekend was so hot and perfect that I jumped in. (Of course I heated it up to 90 first!) We had a houseful of children and it was so much fun playing with them.

Socially, we have gone to some fun parties and benefits, but my favorite evenings are with friends at home. Last weekend Indrani from Double Exposure was our houseguest. It is so much fun being a tour guide. I showed her everything and we really got to know each other. The most special part of the weekend was when she offered to sit with Ally and look through her photos from India and share some techniques. It just takes one person to inspire you or give you the confidence you need to be successful. Indrani offered to mentor Ally and that meant more to me than she will ever know.

It is almost time for the new epsisode of RHNJ, so I gotta run. Please share some of your stories! I read them all.

Love,

Jill

Dina-RHONJ Could Not Resist Bringing A Puppy Home

Post from OK Magazine.

Dina Manzo Fosters Puppy
Author: Valerie Nome

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo is on the lookout for a loving home in which to place Marsha, the four-month-old shepherd mix she’s fostering while she’s summering in the Hamptons.
“I went to a Last Chance Animal Rescue event to help these little puppies find homes,” she tells me during the Celebrity Pet Product Showcase held this week at InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel. “Of course, I took one home to foster while I was on vacation, so I’m not leaving the Hamptons until she finds a home. I’m excited to be able to give a little incentive to give this beautiful little doggy a home. I figure if I give away all these wonderful beds and bowls along with the pup, someone will be more likely to take her.”

Before the Last Chance Animal Rescue team swooped in to rescue the pup, Dina shares that little Marsha was nearly gassed in a gas chamber

“They’re based out of the Hamptons, and they rescue these dogs. People donate their private jets and fly them over to the Hamptons, and we try to find them homes.”
Why should we adopt Marsha?

“She’s a beautiful, obedient dog who is so grateful to be alive, and she shows it. I’ve had her with me only a few days. She’s already potty-trained. She’s the biggest lover. My kids are having the best time with her. Save a life – instead of going and purchasing a dog, there are thousands upon thousands of dogs that are being put to sleep every single day. It’s important to give them a chance, and they are the most grateful animals ever to be alive and they show it.”

Bonus: Marsha is good with her daughter Lexie, 14, and she’s well-behaved.

“You have to see her,” she says. “My daughter and a few of her friends are all sleeping in the bed — there’s the four of them with Marsha right in the middle. She’s so lovable. She gives unconditional love. I’ve had her for less than a week now, so I haven’t taught her many tricks – we’re teaching her how to walk on a leash. What’s special about her – and the reason she’s so good – is she’s so grateful to be placed in a foster home right now.”

Dina continues, “A lot of puppies, you get them home and they’re chewing everything, they’re destroying everything. But she is an angel. She chews only on her chew toy. She lays only where she’s supposed to lay. I think these dogs know what they’ve been through, and where they could’ve wound up. They’re grateful.”

Although it will be difficult to give Marsha up to permanent owners, Dina is accustomed to fostering pups.

“I’m in the process of adopting a special needs dog right now,” she says. “I’m being realistic – I have two cats, I have my birds, and I have my daughter. And I do it all on my own. I am still married, but my husband works an awful lot. I’m being realistic. If I were to take another puppy on right now on top of the special needs dog … I don’t want to overwhelm myself. I do have Project Ladybug, a charity for children with cancer that I work for all day long, so as much as I love little Marsha, I know it’s not the smartest thing to overwhelm myself with a new pup and the training and all that too.”

Hmm, how does Marsha the dog get along with the cats?

“[Cat] Grandma Wrinkles thinks she’s human, so she’s like ‘what’s that? A dog?’ The puppy’s playful. We’re keeping them separated right now because the cats are a little stressed out because they’re out of their environment to begin with, so I don’t want to stress them out even more. The cats are upstairs and sleep in my bedroom. The puppy gets run of the house because she is a rescue.”

RHONJ 7-26-10 Review

Review from The Star-Ledger.

'Real Housewives of New Jersey' recap: Bankrupt Teresa Giudice wants diamonds, not that she's Arabic or anything
Vicki Hyman/The Star-Ledger
The "Real Housewives of New Jersey", and one Real Offspring in particular, continue to astound with a toxic mixture of obliviousness, self-righteousness and massive entitlement. Two cases in point: Teresa Giudice making a play for diamonds for her tenth anniversary mere weeks after filing for bankruptcy, and Ashley Holmes pitching a fit because her parents won't like, get over the fact that she assaulted Danielle Staub. I mean, it was just her hair extensions! It wasn't, like, her actual hair!

Jillian's debut: Danielle's friend Cynthia comes over to plan Christine's sweet 16. Christine is not into the party, but then, she says, "I came up with the idea of donating the money I earned at the sweet 16 to a charity" Pray tell, how does one earn money at their own party? Getting, yes. Earning? Maybe her mother can answer that question. Kidding. Nice gesture. Jillian writes songs, and Danielle wants her to perform one at Christine's party. She starts to sing one, and I can't bring myself to critique it. She's 11 and has Danielle Staub for a mother. She has enough crosses to bear. Jillian stops singing after a couple of lines and starts crying. "She was just in a mood," Danielle says. "Artists get into moods. Whatever she's feeling is just going to make her performance that much stronger." Jillian is an artist like Gia is an actress. Just sayin'.

Photo: Bravo
Can Kim G. be trusted?: Jacqueline Laurita tells Caroline Manzo about her run-in with Kim Granatell. "I don't hate her. I don't think she's evil. I just think she's a people-pleaser." Caroline counsels Jacqueline to keep her distance from Kim G. so Danielle doesn't get wind of anything that she can use against Ashley in the upcoming court proceedings. They rail about Danielle, and why she can't any empathy for Ashley when Danielle did stupid things when she was a kid, and blah blah blah, we've heard this all before. Caroline and Jacqueline also talk about the fact that Danielle doesn't know that Kim G. is friends with Jacqueline, which is sure to send her over the edge ... just in time for next week's episode.

It's the economy, stupid: The Giudices are playing Monopoly -- oh, the irony! -- and we learn that Teresa and Joe are celebrating their tenth anniversary. Teresa's question is not, how are we going to celebrate honey? but, so what are you doing for me? Jacqueline and husband Chris head over to the Giudice's house, where they enjoy some wine in the kitchen. Hey, nice stove! Where can I get one of those? Joe takes Chris aside and says that Teresa wants diamonds for her anniversary. Back in the kitchen, Teresa too brings up diamonds, and Jacqueline wants more details -- the Crown Jewel? "No, not the Crown Jewel," Teresa scoffs. "What do you think I am, Arabic or something ... Or wait, is that Indian?" Joe: "Guess every 10 years you gotta splurge a little, right? I've been trying to like, not go that route, but ... especially in these times, you know what I mean? The money isn't flowing like it used to. Now it's just trickling." We interrupt this recap for some righteous indignation. How can Joe and Teresa sit there in their $4 million home, sipping wine and laughing and talking about buying diamonds just weeks after filing bankruptcy papers in which they seek relief from $11 million in debt? After the bankruptcy filing become public, Teresa claimed she and Joe would learn from their mistakes? When will that happen? How does the earth not just open up and swallow them whole? Breathe. On their anniversary night, and Joe (or maybe Bravo) rents a helicopter for a ride over Manhattan. "I want to do this, like, once a month," Teresa says. "Then it's on the Westin Jersey City for room service. Dessert is chocolate cake, topped with a big diamond ring. Then we see Teresa straddling Joe on the bed. My eyes!

Learning from your mistakes (not): Jacqueline drives Ashley to the post office to pick up her summons to appear in court over pulling Danielle's hair at the fashion show. Ashley continues to be quite pissy and put out about the whole thing. Jacqueline says she hopes that going to court will scare a little sense into Ashley. She asks Ashley how should would have handled the situation differently. "I don't know. Obviously not hit her, I guess." Ashley says that on one hand, she regrets pulling Danielle's hair, but on the other hand, boy, did it feel good. (Why is girl-on-girl violence okay? If the guy who punched Snooki off her bar stool on "Jersey Shore" had said, "It felt really good to get all that anger off my chest," he would have been strung up.) According to the summons, Danielle says that after Ashley pulled her hair, Ashley screamed, "I got her, I'll get her, I'll kill you." We've seen the footage, and that appears to be an embellishment. Ashley says she plans to plead guilty to assault but not to harassment. She starts to mock Danielle, and Jacqueline says in voiceover, "Ashley was giggling and stuff. I don't know if it's a nervous laugh or she's just being a smartass." Psst, it's the latter, minus the smart. Chris counsels Ashley to stay away from Danielle, and Ashley has it in her pretty little head that after the court case is over, she's going to sue Danielle "for everything she did." Chris says Danielle has nothing, so what is she going to sue her for? The more pertinent question is, what exactly did Danielle do to Ashley? Ashley storms out. Chris says she needs to learn a lesson. Oh, like last season, when she learned that acting obnoxious will get her a brand new SUV?

Happy birhtday: It's Christine's sweet 16. More than 300 people are expected to attend, including Danielle's ex, Tom, and his new wife. The guests start to arrive and walk the red carpet. Danielle says it's a benefit (though we never hear where the money Christine "earns" is going to), and Danielle got everything donated. Kim G. is there, and Tom Staub shows up with his new wife. There's a nice little reunion. Christine makes her entrance, bizarrely enough, on the shoulders of a professional bodybuilder. Jillian makes her singing debut. No comment. A good time is had by all.

And in our B story: Oh, and while applying to law school, Albie has entered the Passaic County Police Academy. And he likes to work out.

On location: Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange.

Best (worst) quote: "Here's a flash! Suri Cruise, that little girl, what is she, 3 years old, she wears heels." -- Danielle's pal Kathy to Jillian, trying to convince her to wear heels.

The RHONY Have Had Good Fortune From The Show

Post from Page Six,The NY Post.

Out Of the "Real Housewives of New York City," Bethenny Frankel has come out on top with a new husband, new baby and her own spinoff reality show. But are her castmates jealous? "I don't know, I have so little connection with them," Frankel told Page Six. "I know Ramona [Singer] is happy for me, I know Alex [McCord] is happy for me, I know Sonja [Morgan] is happy for me." But what about Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and LuAnn de Lesseps? "Everyone has had such good fortune from the show that everyone should be happy with what they have, honestly," Frankel said at the opening of the East Harlem Target store.

Bethenny Chats With US Magazine

Post from US Magazine.com. US talked to Bethenny over the weekend.

New mom Bethenny Frankel doesn't exactly miss the pains and pangs of expectant motherhood.

"I'm just happy I'm not pregnant now!" Frankel, 39, told Us Magazine.com at Friday's Opening Day of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge in Bridgehampton, NY. The Bravo reality star welcomed Bryn, her daughter with hubby Jason Hoppy, on May 8.
"I'm so lucky to have a beautiful, healthy baby," she gushed. (Just three weeks after Bryn's birth, the Real Housewives of New York and Bethenny Getting Married? star healthily shed 29 pounds of baby weight.)

Her daughter, she says, is "great" with lots of new milestones each day. "She started smiling all the time," Frankel said. "She's started grabbing my hair! She just grabs it with her little fists." But the chef and cookbook author doesn't mind the playful tugs. "It makes me feel like she needs me."

And the new mom says she's adjusting to life as a mom "as much as you ever can. Every minute of every day is about the baby, so it is an adjustment, but I'm so happy."

She added that little Bryn has a "wonderful" personality.

The Guidice's Bankruptcy Auction Date Set

Article from North Jersey.com.

'N.J. Housewife' to unload possessions in bankruptcy auction
BY VIRGINIA ROHAN
The Record
Teresa Giudice’s custom-built dream mansion in Towaco may soon look even more bare inside than it has sometimes come across on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Photo:Bravo
Earlier this month, the trustee handling the Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition of Teresa and husband Giuseppe (Joe) Giudice proposed to the court that the furnishings and equipment in the Giudices’ home be sold at an on-site auction, which has been set for Aug. 22. The auction firm hired to conduct that sale, A. J. Willner Auctions in Springfield, already has a preliminary and partial list of items to be sold, along with photos of the items, on its website (ajwillnerauctions.com), which has gotten more than 240,000 page hits since the posting late Friday.

A sampling of the items for sale: a Schaefer and Sons grand piano, a Wolf 48-inch stainless steel range, a 42-inch television, a pair of carved leather and fabric sofas, a Connelly antique-style pool table, chandeliers, even a suit of armor.

Last week, James Kridel, the Giudices’ Clifton-based bankruptcy attorney, said he plans to file an objection. A hearing on the matter would be set for Aug. 16.

In the meantime, though, Harry Byrnes, managing partner of A. J. Willner Auctions, says “the auction is scheduled for the 22nd and we’re moving forward under that date.”

If the court upholds the sale, prospective bidders will be able to walk through the house, at 6 Indian Lane, to preview the items for three hours, starting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 22, Byrnes says. The auction will be conducted under a tent in a large courtyard in the middle of the driveway.

“If it was a smaller crowd, I would consider walking through the house and selling each piece while standing in front of it, but because of the amount of interest, we feel that this is the most conducive way to conduct the auction,” he says.

The auction house, which conducted the highly publicized 2007 sale of the assets from Whitney Houston’s tour, is expecting a large turnout and has come up with a plan to weed out serious buyers from fans of the show who just “want to come see her house.”

“In order to come onto the property, you’ll have to register,” Byrnes says. “Registration requires a name, address and phone number, plus a $300 deposit towards purchases. That gets you into the venue. If you don’t buy anything, obviously you get your $300 back.”

No children will be allowed at the sale. Ditto, food.

Byrnes says there are no reserves in this sale — no minimum pre-set amounts that must be met — but as with all bankruptcy auctions, the trustee reserves the right to confirm or deny the outcome of the sale.

Sit-ups…heheheh

Jul 26th, 2010 by Alex McCord.

First of all, I have to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our book signing in Asbury Park, NJ this weekend. We were overwhelmed by all the Jersey love…and the boys fell in love with the pinball museum.

Loved seeing the Giudice girls play Monopoly with their Dad; that’s our boys’ favorite game and when we play, we’re ruthless with them and each other. During the game we hear that Teresa and Joe will celebrate their 10th anniversary, which is huge & congrats to them. Given everything that we’ve been hearing about the family’s financial turmoil, I wondered where Joe’s conversation with Chris was going to go, and was curious as to how much Teresa knew at that point when she asked for something big. Regardless, it was a beautiful ring. Loved the helicopter ride, and did anyone think we’d suddenly switched away from basic cable when we saw the two of them on the bed?? Tee hee…bet they could have fun with some of the goodies I got Bethenny and Ramona! Glad to see the spark is still there because that will carry them through what’s going on now.

The Manzo kids provided comic relief as usual; I loved watching Lauren & Chris lock Albie out of the gym and fake the situps, and good for Albie for making good use of his time by seeing another side of law enforcement.

You know what? I also really appreciated Danielle’s scenes this episode – I kept wondering to myself, is it going to get uncomfortable? Is she going to do something that’s inappropriate? There’s been a ridiculous amount of drama leading up to now, and of course the rest of the cast never have anything good to say about her. This week it was nice to see another side of Danielle, that she loves her daughters and wants the best for them. Of course there are going to be people who say she was being a stage mom to Jillian, and while it did seem that way with Christine and the modeling earlier, I felt the pep talk with Jillian was just that…a boost. It reminded me of my niece, who balked at practicing her reading at our wedding rehearsal but did just fine at the actual ceremony. Also happy to see that they discussed it being a charitable party and that everything was donated. That’s the thing not all viewers realize; party planners and charities themselves have access to venues, businesses and donors who can make these events come together fairly easily. Of course it was fascinating to see her ex-husband, Tom and it was nice that he and his wife agreed to appear on camera. They seemed very cordial, though I remember clips online or previews where she really slammed him in the past. Danielle’s hug of Tom in gratitude for coming almost got a little too long and teary, but she broke it before he did so it didn’t come off desperate. I could have done without her explanation of the engagement ring, but it was cute to see the sisters good-naturedly arguing over who’d have the bigger rock later on.

Can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with Kim G once everyone knows she’s been a switch hitter. And, WHAT IS GOING ON with Ashley? We only know what was shown, but she clearly isn’t one bit sorry. Ashley doesn’t have to like Danielle and guess what, she doesn’t really even have to be sorry about the hair pulling, BUT she has to answer to it. She has to respect the gravity of the consequences of her actions. There’s a summons out for her and whether she likes it or not, it’s now public record and has to be taken care of. Countersue? What’s she going to countersue over, breaking a nail when she pulled Danielle’s hair? Her internet access bill for reading Danielle’s facebook page? Seriously, I don’t know what I’d do if I were Jacqueline. This kiddo needs more than tough love; she needs anger management. I wish that when Ashley complained that Chris & Jacqueline kept bringing up the incident, one of them would have said something like this: “Right, you don’t like me bringing this up. OK, here’s what you need to accomplish in order for me to stop talking about this. You need to handle the complaint, find a lawyer, make an appointment and go speak to them. You need show up to court and deal with this. I will ride with you if you need support and I will hold your hand. I will not drive the car; this is your problem and you need to make it go away.”……or something like that. Ashley needs to completely separate her feelings for Danielle from this summons, because we don’t live in utopia and her dislike of the woman isn’t going to change. But to sit there and idly talk about how she deserved it or did bad things 25 years ago or isn’t a nice person or blah blah blah ….all that is emotional pandering and doesn’t solve the current problem. There’s a mess that needs to be cleaned up. Take a deep breath and do it.
