Booton Sprinkler Company Files A Lawsuit Against Gorgas

From NJ.com.

MaryAnn Spoto/The Star-Ledger
Follow The reportedly newest addition to Real Housewives of New Jersey is making news even before she joins the crew of the reality TV show.

Melissa Gorga, the sister-in-law of RHONJ cast member Teresa Giudice, owes a Boonton sprinkler company $50,000 for work on an apartment complex in Paterson, according to a lawsuit filed last week in Superior Court in Morris County.
Gorga initially reneged on an agreement to pay nearly $300,000 for the installation of a fire sprinkler and alarm system at a Paterson apartment complex, the complaint said. The complaint accuses Gorga, her husband Guiseppe and their business, Gorga Enterprises Inc. of breach of contract and unjustly enriching themselves by misdeeds, among other things, by failing to pay for work performed by Bravante Automatic Sprinkler Corp.

The Gorgas had a $260,000 contract with Bravante for a fire suppression system at 10-28 Courtland St. in Paterson in January 2008 and another contract for nearly $17,000 the following month for an alarm monitoring system, according to the complaint.

By Aug. 22, 2008, Gorga paid only $44,000 on the fire sprinkler contract and $3,000 on the alarm monitoring contract, the suit said. On that same day, Bravante filed a construction lien against them with the Passaic County Clerk’s Office.
The Gorgas owned up to part of a settlement agreement, the complaint said. They paid $191,000 of the tab by July 1, 2009, but they didn’t pony up $50,000 they agreed to turn over when they received a $1 million bank loan for the project, according to the complaint. By then, Bravante had performed more work totaling $21,909, the complaint said.
Melissa Gorga, who is married to Giudice’s brother Giuseppe, is reportedly replacing cast member Dina Manzo, who left the show mid-season this year.

Melissa Gorga Can't Say Much Now About The RHONJ

Excerpt of a post from Babble.

Posted by Lulu and Moxleys Mom
The new rumored Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law, just so happened to join Twitter on September 3. Coincidence? Probably not. All the Housewives have a Twitter account, it’s probably part of the job. So what does she have to say? Let’s review her postings since she joined and the pictures she’s Tweeted of her family. One good thing to know: she likes the word b*tch as much as the rest of them. People, this is going to be soooo good. And I’m not sure I ever saw a kindergartner wear such an ensemble their first day of school…

9/3: Okay, I joined Twitter! Let’s see what all the hype is about.

9/4: I know there is a lot of buzz going around about the housewives. I can’t say much now, but when I can you will be the first to know.

Teresa Is Worried About Bravo Footage Being Used In Court

Post from Pop Eater.

By Rob Shuter
Exclusive: Over the weekend, PopEater broke the staggering new report that Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, stand accused of fraud, after allegedly hiding over $250,000 when filing for bankruptcy. Now, sources close to Teresa tell me the 'Real Housewife' is terrified about what will happen next

"It's going to be a s**t storm when the truth comes out and Bravo is going to be filming the fallout," a friend of Teresa's tells me. "I feel so bad for her and honestly believe she had no idea what was going on, but she must know now."

Camera crews will be following Teresa and her family around for the next season of 'Housewives,' and she believes everything she says could be used against her in court.

The reality star's friend tells me she would rather drop out of the show altogether than end up in prison because of something she lets slip on TV. The poor thing is terrified.

Her legal troubles are not the only reason Teresa is scared. Insiders tell me Teresa's sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, contacted Bravo about joining the cast. Bravo liked the idea so much that they even spent a week with Melissa doing test filming behind Teresa's back.

"Teresa and Melissa do not get on at all," a family insider tells me. "That is why Teresa has been saying she would rather have Danielle stay on the show. If Melissa does join, Teresa will quit for sure."

[Bravo announced Monday that Danielle has been dropped from the cast. Boo!]

Between all the legal troubles she believes the show has brought her and the thought of taping scenes with Melissa, Teresa is over it. Plus, she can't go to prison -- she's claustrophobic.

Bravo Filming The Gorga's Already

Article from the NY Post.

By MICHAEL STARR
Hey Teresa: be careful what you wish for.

Now that despised Danielle Staub has been axed from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," the show has recruited new cast member Melissa Gorga -- hothead Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law and bitter enemy.

There's apparently no love lost between rivals Teresa and Melissa, who's married to Teresa's kid brother, Giuseppe Gorga.

While the profligate Teresa and hubby Joe are bankrupt and fending off creditors, Melissa and Giuseppe -- a former landscaper who segued into real estate development -- are living the good life in their $4 million mansion in tony Montville, NJ.

NEW GIRL: Meet Melissa Gorga: She's married to "Housewife of NJ" Teresa's brother Giuseppe (left).

Bravo cameras have been filming Melissa, Giuseppe and their three young kids (two boys and a girl) for several weeks now, according to radaronline -- which quotes an insider as saying, "Teresa and Melissa don't get along . . . They don't speak."

How great is that?
Melissa, in fact, was said to be peeved that Teresa put the kibosh on allowing Antonia -- Melissa's daughter -- to ride in a limo with her cousin Gia to Gia's birthday party, which aired last season.

Can you say "dysfunctional family"?
The dark-haired, statuesque Melissa has been married to Giuseppe for six years and was his secretary when he ran his landscaping business. She recently gave birth to their second son.

The Gorgas sold their Franklin Lakes home for $2.5 million in 2006, and their 13,500-square-foot, 16-room Montville estate is said to be twice the size of Teresa and Joe's Towaco McMansion -- perhaps adding to materialistic Teresa's angst.
It's not clear when Giuseppe gave up landscaping for real estate, but he's obviously found a lot of success -- and some trouble -- in his second career.

According to a July 21, 2006 article in The Herald News, which covers Passaic County, Giuseppe coughed up $57,000 for two vacant lots in a rundown section of Paterson, NJ as part of the city's Redevelopment Plan.
But things went awry when contractors stopped showing up to build the houses -- leaving them partially constructed.
Neighbors described the two houses as "crack houses, outhouses and flophouses for users, squatters and hookers."

A Bravo rep would only say yesterday that the "Housewives of NJ" will return next season.

Teresa's Sister-In-Law A New RHONJ?

Post from Radar Online.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey will soon be welcoming a new face to the neighborhood, RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusively.

While not every new or returning member has signed on, camera crews are already following around the new addition.

If Caroline, Jacqueline, and Teresa return to the show for another season, they will be sharing the small screen with Melissa Gorga, who happens to be Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law! A Giudice family friend told RadarOnline.com, “She [Melissa] is not replacing her [Teresa]. I think Melissa is actually Dina’s replacement.”

The Giudice family friend said Gorga actually approached Bravo to be considered for Season 2.
“I believe Melissa is coming on the show because they’re at her house filming. They’ve been filming for weeks... at first she wasn’t sure she wanted to go on the show, but she decided to accept it.”
And it looks like Gorga will give extravagant Teresa a run for her money. “Melissa’s husband used to have a landscaping business and then he got into real estate. And she used to do his paperwork as his secretary and now she is a housewife,” the Giudice family friend said.

“Their house is actually twice the size as Joe and Teresa’s. It’s enormous! She has two live-in nannies and lives in a $4 million mansion on an exclusive lot in Montville. Teresa and Joe’s house looks like a garage compared to theirs.”
A rep for the show told RadarOnline.com, “We’ve announced the show is coming back, but haven’t made any announcements about casting yet.”
