Bethenny Frankel has opened up about her decision not to return to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” citing family concerns.
During Monday’s premiere episode of Access Hollywood Live, Bethenny told show hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover that the decision to leave the popular Bravo series was due to looking after both herself and her “family’s health,” she said.
“The truth is, when I first was on that show, it was a personal decision. I used to say it was only for me, but now, it’s not good for my family,” Bethenny told Billy and Kit. “My husband would never want to do it. It has to be a family decision, so that’s the point.”
When Billy asked if she had officially quit the show, Bethenny suggested that she was off the show, but hinted there could be a reason for her to return.
“Um, I’m not gonna be a ‘Housewife.’ I’m, ironically, a housewife, but I’m not gonna be a ‘Housewife,’” she said, referring to her recent nuptials to Jason Hoppy on her own Bravo reality show, “Bethenny Getting Married?” “If I have to, that’s a different story.”
