RHOA Producers Excited About The New Housewives
Post from Radar Online.
The two new cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will take center stage in Season 3, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Both entertainment attorney Phaedra Parks and model Cynthia Bailey will have colorful storylines as they interact with the four other women.
“Cynthia will actually get married on the show while Phaedra will be seen clashing with both NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak. She will be more of a ‘fire-starter’ and viewers can expect to see some pretty big arguments going down.
“The producers are excited by the two new arrivals and only completed filming the new series within the past couple of weeks - they believe they have some strong and colorful material.”
Cast member Lisa Wu Hartwell is definitely leaving the popular reality show, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Hartwell will appear in a few episodes of the new series with her husband retired NFL star Ed Hartwell when Season 3 debuts on Bravo later this year but that will be it as far as she is concerned.
The attractive real estate agent was having creative differences with producers that could not be resolved.
The source added: “Lisa is definitely out. The producers want somebody more exciting in the future who will ‘spark-off’ the other women. They feel that they have gone as far as they can with her and Season 3 will most definitely be her last on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta."

Parks in particular will cause fireworks as viewers see her clash with both NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak as she tries to give them advice about the music business.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “Both women will play major parts in the new series as producers try and spice things-up for the viewers.

Salahi's RHODC Party
Post from Page Six of the NY Post.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi are already cashing in on their "Real Housewives of DC" fame. The White House crashers ditched an invite-only premiere party hosted by the other four housewives to make a few dollars with their own bash at a gay bar across town.
The duo charged $25 admission to the cash-bar event and $150 for access to the "Housewives Circle" -- a VIP room where Tareq and Michaele hid from the $25 guests. About 150 people showed up for the Salahi circus. "It was crazy, super-trashy, exactly what you expected it to be," said partygoer Tommy McFly.
Michaele's Daily Beast Interview
Q&A done by Megan McCain for the Daily Beast.
The controversial Salahi talks to McCain about her portrayal on The Real Housewives of D.C., which premieres Thursday, and the "misinformation" that people have about her.
When The Real Housewives of D.C. premieres tonight on Bravo, viewers will see the beginning of the fifth installment of the highly successful franchise. They will also see the introduction of Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the infamous "White House crashers," who in November got into trouble for attending the Obamas' first state dinner (they said they had been invited). From watching the premiere, trouble does seem to follow Michaele: In the first episode, she is accused of having an eating disorder, and the previews for the season tease the Salahis' financial problems and, yes, the crashing. (And that was all before her scrape Wednesday with Whoopi Goldberg.) We had a long conversation, compressed here, about her portrayal on the show, her style icons, and how, because of how she got famous, "people only see us for us on that one night."
Meghan McCain: What did you think of the first episode?
Michaele Salahi: I thought it captures all the women, and it was a lot of fun, and I'm happy that people can finally see who I really am. I love people, I have a big compassion for people, and they highlighted that in the first episode, so it made me laugh, so it was fun.
Even though there were some hard things… like the eating thing and all that. You know, that hurt, but the biggest thing about me that I think people will see is that I'm a person who forgives in this world, whatever happens.
Meghan: In the first episode, there are two characters fighting over Bush vs. Obama. Do you think the show will draw viewers in because there's such a fine line between pop culture and politics nowadays?
Michaele: You know, it's a part of our life, so I think it is [expected] that the Real Housewives of D.C. is going to encompass everything that happens in D.C., it is the most powerful city for making decisions, protecting and creating laws, so it's a natural fit that we have to at some point, some of the women are going to touch on it, because it's such a big part of our life. But we also see that yes, everyone has their viewpoint about politics, but you'll see that there's some of the best performance centers, you know, the Kennedy Center, the best restaurants, you know, the monuments, theater, and arts.
Meghan: How did you meet your husband and how did you fall in love?
Michaele: We met through a mutual best friend and we were at CafĂ© Milano, which is a really fun, really hip place… Our second date, he took me to Paris, and I was thinking—when we got back—that night, when we were getting on the airplane to go to dinner, I said, "Oh my gosh, we're going to Paris…" And he's like, "We're just going to get dinner and come back." So I fell in love with my husband, a whirlwind, just fun. Just amazing, he sent 368 roses and said, "You complete me," at my job. Yeah, it was one thing after another—it was so loving and just over the top. It just took me away—just like wow. I definitely felt like Cinderella and my prince had found me.
As fairy tale as my life [had] been in the beginning and it was for years, and then in the last three years, we had—like every family had—there's been family and health and pain, and even with businesses and things and our own personal life, that we've learned that the foundation of our marriage is stronger than ever because we have a TV crew and you go through some of the things that we've gone through. When you're married and you say 'I love you, I do,' it's no matter what, and you love that person.
Meghan: I need to ask you about, obviously, the alleged White House crashing. You have a book coming out about it [written by Daily Beast contributor Diane Dimond, with the Salahis' cooperation]. Is there anything you want to say that hasn't already been said about what happened last November at the White House?
Michaele: She named the book Cirque Du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust—it comes out September 17 and it's on Amazon, I think now it's on presale. It's going to tell who we are as individuals, who we became as a couple and on that particular night, a lot of people have impressions about us from that night, and I think one of the biggest things is, people only see us for us on that one night.
Meghan: And it's just going to talk about your lives beforehand, and then the White House, and then everything after with Bravo?
Michaele: Right, Bravo—that wasn't a day we were filming with Bravo—and it's going to talk about who we were as individuals, how we fell in love… I know some couples, one will get jealous of the other, so we answered a lot of questions about that—you know, how to stay strong as a couple, and how we loved—how we really enjoyed doing the TV show.
Meghan: Do you have a style icon?
Michaele: Oh my gosh, Coco Chanel.
Meghan: Coco Chanel. I think that's every girl's style icon, she's amazing. Anyone more contemporary?
Michaele: You know, I've always loved Karl Lagerfeld, you know, he's such a classic. Stella McCartney, she has made everybody look different and done it very elegant [sic]. I had the opportunity to work with her once, she's incredible. Gosh, there's so many, I could think. Just for overall style?
Meghan: Just a person in D.C. that you think has great style as well.
Michaele: I really think that if it's a political person, wow, that's a tough question. I think Nancy Pelosi always looks really put together. I think Laura Bush always looks really lovely. If we're talking nonpolitical, I would say Michaele Salahi. Do I count? I'm not political, but can I get in?
Meghan: What are you most excited about with the show coming out?
Michaele: You ask really good questions. I want the world to know, God willing, and I know that I've seen the first episode, I think they're going to see that, who I really am. You mentioned earlier Meghan, you said it best, really well said, that there's a lot of misinformation of really who I am in the media and my personality and what I'm about. I'm just a girl in D.C. and I hope it just highlights who I really am.
Meghan: Thank you so much.
Michaele: Did you see the picture of your dad that we took?
Meghan: I did, it's so funny, that you guys went to his Rock the Vote event, right?
Michaele: I loved your dad so much, he was so welcoming and incredible and he was just very charming to my husband. My husband works really hard on his wines with his dad, and he was just very complimentary and that he loves his wines.
Meghan: Oh, that's nice.
Michaele: Oh, and your mom is a beautiful dresser by the way. Put that in that article, she's a lady, she's understated elegance. She's always appropriate, she's always very much a lady.
Meghan: Thank you, I'll tell her that.
Michaele: Put that in the article. She's like my mom, she's always just, she's glamorous, but understated glam. She's beautiful—beautiful—holy God, how did I forget her? She's like one of the biggest fashion icons out there, she's always stunning.
Meghan: Good luck with the show.
Michaele: Say a prayer for me, Meghan!

Lynne-RHOOC Not Returning For Season 6
Post from Reality Tea.
Just days after RadarOnline ran a story about Peggy Tanous joining the Real Housewives of Orange County cast, Lynne Curtin is now confirming she is indeed leaving the show.
“Rumor has it that I will not be returning for “season 6″ That rumor is true! Further rumor has it we will be back somewhere else on our own show! Hmmmm! “Watch what happens” Life is so unpredictable! Enjoy!” wrote Lynne on her facebook page on Friday.
And as for Lynne getting her own reality show, there has been no news or rumblings about any show. Perhaps Lynne is simply trying to ’secret’ one into existence.
In other OC news, it is still unclear whether or not former cast member Jeana Keough will be returning this season, as there are conflicting reportings. The OC Register did however report today that during an event out, Bravo cameras were filming both Jeana and Gretchen Rossi. Guess we will just have to wait and see if Jeana is indeed returning.
What is certain is that Jeana is a part of Bravo’s new show – “Thintervention with Jackie Warner,” set to premiere 10 p.m. September 6.
Jeana will be one of eight clients who participate in an intense “thintervention” with Jackie Warner, a well-known fitness trainer who had a previous show on Bravo called Work Out.
According to a press release by Bravo, Jackie will “kick butt and inspire drastic lifestyle changes for her overweight clients who are struggling to lose weight and get healthy for good,” according to the press release for “Thintervention.

Michaele/Tareq Talk To Marie Claire
Excerpt from Marie Claire.
By Samantha Marshall
Accused of crashing a splashy White House party last November, Michaele Salahi and her husband were totally lambasted, along with social secretary DesirĂ©e Rogers, who was eased out a few months later. Now Mrs. Salahi is back in the spotlight, starring in Bravo’s The Real Housewives of D.C. We met up with her to discuss the scandal and the fallout, with her husband, Tareq, by her side.
Marie Claire: Everyone knows about the scandal, but no one knows much about you.
MS: Arguments with family members and things like that happen. Unfortunately, this had to play out in the press. It is what it is, but I told him, “Don’t be hurt, every family has its pain — it’s just that yours is more visible.”
MC: Michaele, what did you do before you met Tareq?
MS: I started as an Absolut Vodka model in the ’90s. I was attending college at the time. Then I was a makeup artist for Trish McEvoy in D.C.
MC: How did you get labeled a socialite?
MS: I got the social butterfly label because I was active on the social scene and doing it in a way that had style, or so I was told. I would wear different outfits that people liked. And that’s why the Housewives show reached out to me.
MC: You were filming the show before the White House incident in November?
MS: Yes, the filming first started last September.
MC: What really happened at the White House? Were you invited guests or not?
MS: Michele Jones, the Pentagon-based liaison to the White House, had extended the invitation with an e-mail requesting our Social Security numbers and dates of birth, to be cleared for the event. We’d met her through our attorney when she spoke on the D.C. mall in September. There are so many events you’ve probably attended where you don’t go with the actual printed invitation — I didn’t go thinking I was chancing it. No one goes with a film crew to be turned away. How embarrassing would that have been? And we were announced!

Michaele Salahi: I am someone who loves people. I am a people pleaser. I just want to get along. I love to have a great time. I’ve often been called “the D.C. Barbie” and I think that’s a compliment. I love Barbie! I also have a heart — I care about all kinds of causes. There’s a long list of charitable organizations that I’ve been very involved with over the last 10 years.
MC:: Where are you from?
MS: I grew up in Florida. Tareq grew up near D.C. His family’s winery is in Hume, Virginia. We met through a mutual best friend, and in 2001 I moved to the winery. We were married in 2003.
MC: I’d read there were issues at the winery.

Tareq Salahi: I would describe the situation as a Falcon Crest war. We’ve had this ongoing family drama over control of the winery since my father became ill. My mother wants to liquidate and tear the winery apart. My dad’s vision is to keep the family legacy going; I’ve been trying to honor that. We’re planning a grand reopening, after being closed this summer for reorganization.
MC: Michaele, what did you do before you met Tareq?

Salahi's Served At Premiere Party
Article from the Washington Post.
By: Aaron Leitko
The Salahis got served.
They were just supposed to be enjoying a get-together in their own honor, albeit an unsanctioned-by-Bravo premiere party on Thursday night at EFN nightclub. Minding their own party-loving business, as it were. Suddenly, one day after a faceoff with the formidable Whoopi Goldberg of "The View," the "Real Housewives of D.C." stars were presented with court papers by PR firm Brotman-Winter-Fried Communications, to whom they allegedly owe upwards of $15,000.
According to Steve Winter, the PR firm's president, the Salahis hired BWF back in 2008 to help promote their America's Polo cup. Then they allegedly skipped out on the tab. "It was an affidavit for debtors interrogatory," explained Winters. "It means they'll have to appear in court to discuss their financial means -- how they are capable of paying off the debt."
Apparently the affidavit did not come as welcome news. "The man we hired to serve the papers was able to get a moment with Tareq. He took the papers, then he dropped them," said Whitney Stringer, a BWF employee who accompanied the process server. A second attempt was no more well received -- Salahi dropped the papers again, then called security.
The rest of the "Real Housewives" cast -- who attended Bravo's official premiere party at the Madison Hotel -- were glad to get some distance from the couple. "I don't want to see them; I don't want to talk to them," Catherine Ommanney told Us Weekly. "I don't want to be associated with them."
It's time to ask the couple about how it went down, in case their view is somehow, well, different. The Salahis have a Facebook page, and after a query was sent to the e-mail address supplied for media inquiries, an alternate narrative came back in return. "Yes, they did get delivered a confidential offer from a media source willing pay for the photos & video of the Whoopi Goldberg situation," said the anonymous spokesperson for the couple. "The Salahis turned it down."
But wait, did they not understand what the documents contained? Presented with details regarding BWF's suit, the e-mailer claimed ignorance: "That's a first for today on that info. We are not aware of that, so unable to confirm. I would suspect that it is inaccurate."

"The Salahis turned it down."
But wait, did they not understand what the documents contained? Presented with details regarding BWF's suit, the e-mailer claimed ignorance: "That's a first for today on that info. We are not aware of that, so unable to confirm. I would suspect that it is inaccurate."

Only 1.6 Million Viewers For The RHODC Premiere
Post from Variety.
Audiences don't vote for D.C. 'Housewives'
By STUART LEVINE
The Thursday premiere of "The Real Housewives of D.C." got off to a sluggish start for Bravo compared to other debuts of past "Housewives" skeins.
With 1.6 million tuning in, that's a significant drop-off from the 2.7 million who watched the second-season launch of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" in July 2009. That episode remains the most-watched premiere of any of the "Housewives" franchise.
Worth noting is that the "D.C." numbers were low despite the publicity created by one of the cast members, Michaele Salahi, who, with her husband, crashed a White House function in November.
Bravo drew 1.9 million total viewers for the final episode of "Bethenny Getting Married?" That's just above the 1.8 million season average.

Virginia Attorney Says Michaele Accused Her Of Assault
Post from Radar Online.
This is how the Revesman incident went down.
Revesman said she was in court acting on behalf of a client, who was suing the Salahi’s for an unpaid bill, when she turned to Michaele and her “finger touched her arm”.
“Michaele then begin screaming “stop hitting me” and she turned the to bailiffs and she said “make sure she doesn’t hit me again”,” recalled Revesman.
“My client was standing right next to me and I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ and she responded, ‘You just hit me’.
“I said, ‘No I didn’t, I don’t understand what’s going on here.’ The bailiffs were all looking at me throwing their hands up in the air.”
Revesman said later that afternoon, police informed her Michaele had filed a criminal complaint. But according to public records, the case was thrown out of court on April 15, 2009.
The next Revesman saw of Michaele was on The View and the reported tiff with Whoppi — for which the latter has said she will offer “no apology” for the “choice words” she hurled at party-crashed.
Revesman said after her clash with the Salahis, she had no doubt what their motivation was in making the assault allegation against her.
The attorney said, “What they do is they take the assault charge and go after the opposing council in the other side; they want you to barter their criminal process with a civil process going on. That is their whole m.o (modus operandi).”
In the video of The View incident, Whoopi can be seen briefly touching Michael and is heard asking her to talk about the White House incident.
According to Michaele, later and behind-the-scenes, Whoopi launched into a cursing tiade that left her in tears. On Facebook, she termed the incident “outrageous abuse”.
"I walked off the show and said goodbye and was in the back and Whoopi came in and said, 'F*** this, f*** that, Did you say I F***ing hit you?',” Michaele said during a Today Show appearance on Thursday.
Salahi Criminal Complaint:

Michaele Salahi’s blowup with Whoopi Goldberg is not the first time the White House gatecrasher has claimed she was assaulted after being lightly touched, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
In an almost carbon copy of The View incident, a Virginia attorney has come forward to tell RadarOnline.com she also touched Michaele on the arm, during a court case on January 14, 2009 – and was later accused by Michaele of assault!
Whoopi lightly touched Salahi during a segment on the ABC show on Wednesday and according to ABC Salahi later said she was hit by Whoopi.

Cynthia Revesman, a Virginia attorney, not only got the same treatment from Salahi but Michaele even filed a police report against her alleging she was assaulted.
“When I saw this (on The View) I thought, this is the same thing, where not even a touching becomes a hit,” Revesman told RadarOnline.com.
And Revesman’s client told RadarOnline.com that when he saw The View, “I just laughed. I thought it was hysterical…Cindy emailed me right away and she said,‘Oh my god, this is bringing back memories.’”
Revesman said she was in court acting on behalf of a client, who was suing the Salahi’s for an unpaid bill, when she turned to Michaele and her “finger touched her arm”.

So here you go: The husband of one of the "Wives" is an inventor. He has a very interesting patent on file at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. For something called a "penile volumetric measuring device."
What, rulers can't do the trick?
"I gotta say, my husband is brilliant," said Stacie Turner, D.C. real estate agent and series star, when our colleague Hank Stuever asked her about the patent during a poolside interview with the Housewives last week in Beverly Hills, triggering an awful lot of giggles.
Jason Turner's patent application made the case for the device -- a fluid-filled container that uses water displacement to measure the inserted member -- with a certain academic panache. ("Throughout history, there has been discussion and focus on the human male sex organ. ... Well-endowed male pornography stars are looked at by many with admiration and envy," the application says.)
Stacie, though, insisted that it's not just about that. Her husband, she said, originally set out to create such devices to measure all body parts -- a useful tool, perhaps, for customizing clothes, etc.
"But the attorney said that the easiest way to do that was to go for the smallest, most obscure body part," she told Stuever -- and then apply it to others. It's nothing that Jason's marketing yet. "It's not about a sex-toy business," she told Stuever, making sure he wrote that down. "We have little kids, and that would not be cool."

Michaele-RHODC Was An NFL Cheerleader?
Post from lalate news.
by lalate
The Bravo bio does not say Salahi is a former Washington Redskins cheerleader, a description used elsewhere. But Maureen Dowd has said Salahi is a “faux Redskins cheerleader”. Another report says that Michaele allegedly crashed the 2005 Redskins Cheerleader Alumni reunion. The report also claimed she alleged acted peculiar in 1994. One cheerleader explains that in 1994 “we had an early morning pep rally before the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and Michaele requested to borrow my pom poms. I was very nervous about this as NFL cheerleaders have strict rules not to lend their uniforms to anyone under any circumstances. “
In 2009, Wikipedia wasn’t convinced either, noting, “Michaele Salahi has claimed to be a former model and Washington Redskins cheerleader, she has also claimed to have been featured in numerous television spots, was the face of Virginia.org’s
Today, Salahi is still angry about alleged Whoopi Goldberg “abuse” in the final hours before Real Housewives of D.C. premieres. But Michaele Salahi has allegedly made the same allegation against another person just within the last year. Attorney Cindy Revesman had a client suing Tareq Salahi in 2009. She claims that during a meeting, Michaele said the same thing about her.
“I didn’t know Michaele Salahi from a hole in the wall … she claimed to be Tareq’s attorney, then she told the judge she wasn’t. We go to an anteroom that’s no bigger than 10-by-10 feet, I’m there with my client and I put my finger out to get her attention and at the same time she turns around, and (the finger) touches her. She said, ‘Don’t hit me!,’ she looks at the bailiff and says, ‘Make sure you don’t hit me again.’ I say I don’t know what’s going on here, I don’t know what you’re talking about, and I get called by the city of Falls Church (Va.) that afternoon saying there’s a complaint filed that says I hit her.”
A judge didn’t agree with Michaele Salahi’s allegations.

Michaele Salahi's claims to have been a Redskins cheerleader are, in fact, bogus. According to a statement released from the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Alumni Association, the alleged White House party crasher made claims that were unsubstaniated and now completely denied by the Redskins Cheerleader organization.
“The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Alumni Association does not have any records or pictures that would verify Ms. Salahi’s claim to have been a Washington Redskins Cheerleader," says alumni rep, Terri Lamb.
She adds in her statement to Examiner.com, "Furthermore,
the director, choreographers, captains, and numerous members during that time period have no recollection of Salahi’s involvement.”
While the Redskins Cheerleader group had originally said Mrs. Salahi had "misrepresented" herself to get on the alumni roster, Lamb's most recent statement completely denies any reocord of involvement by Michaele (or any associated moniker).

Michaele Salahi a former Redskins cheerleader or not? The background of Michaele Salahi (Real Housewives of DC) remains in dispute like her claim that she wasn’t crashing the White House event in 2009.

Scathing RHODC Review
Post from PB Pulse.
By: Leslie Gray Streeter
The Washington Post’s Hank Stuever had a great, scathing column about Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of D.C.,” about how the only accurate things in the title were “the” and “of,” as there are no housewives, most of them live in the suburbs and they’re as fake as fake is fake.
You got that right, man!
“RHDC” is another chapter in Bravo’s attempt to present the most fabulous and exclusive ladies in a fabulous city, never mind that the REALLY exclusive socialites would never, ever be on a Bravo reality show. It’s all social climbers and people trying to promote their businesses. And that’s cool – I can’t be mad at somebody trying to get paid. Let’s just not pretend to those outside of the city that these ladies are the creme de la creme. They tried to get those ladies, and had to settle for, like, the Redi-Whip.
Stacie, our next housewife, agrees with me on the suburbanites who claim to live in the city they bounced from. She’s a realtor selling crazy expensive homes, a wife and mother who runs a tight ship, and the first of several people who will name-drop the Obamas in this episode. And if you think her reference is obnoxious…well, just wait.
Lynda runs a modeling agency, the top one in the city, although she admits that there aren’t all that many fashion clients there, anyway. So, yay for you? She flirts with a tall, yummy male model, who looks like a more pretty-boy, younger version of Ebong, her tall, young boyfriend. Ebong can work a turtleneck and seems too nice for Lynda.
Michaele is that bleached-blond lady in the sari who crashed the White House state dinner with her husband back in the fall. You remember her – the chick who insisted that they were invited by a third party but didn’t have an invitation? I always thought that was a fail on their part and on the part of the White House – the security should only let those in with an actual invite, who are on the list, and the Salahis shouldn’t expect that the White House is like getting into a party at Pookie’s house – “No, no, we talked to his cousin, Ray-Ray! You know Ray-Ray, right? He said it was cool!”
You know who thinks Michaele is cool? Nobody on this show. They seem to all think she’s flighty and possibly anorexic. You see her flitting around the polo event that her husband runs, kissing and hugging for five seconds before she runs off to hug somebody else. She seems to be really sort of sweet, actually, but she’s so unfocused that she’s sort of unprofessional. Also, she’s too tan for that hair color. Just saying. Then again, all of these catty bisnatches saying they “love” her while rolling their eyes at her don’t warm my heart, either.
So far, I kind of like Stacie, don’t love Michaele but wanna hug her, and am indifferent to Lynda and Mary. But I’d rather be handcuffed to any of those ladies for the rest of my life than to have half a latte at the Starbucks with Cat, the husky-voiced Brit who has just moved to town (well, the suburbs of town) with her new husband, White House photographer Charles. (Apparently, they aren’t even together anymore. Awkward.) Cat is one of those people who is impressed enough with herself to cover all the people who hate her, so she doesn’t really care how she comes off. She looks down her nose at Michaele’s polo event, and makes a comment to her kids about how much bigger Americans are than other people. Come over here, Skinny, so I can smack you with this Twinkie.
We go back to Mary’s, where she explains that she’s had a biometric lock put on her closet so that her slacky daughter can’t wear her clothes. Oh, please. If you don’t trust her, don’t let her stay in your house! Or, just share! Or tell her “Girl, stay out of my closet!” I know it’s expensive, but it’s the pricey version of not leaving your purse around parties when you know some of the guests are shady. It’s upscale ghetto.
It’s Mary’s birthday, and she’s invited a lot of the ladies, including Stacie, who she sits next to Ted Gibson, hairdresser to the stars. She tells them that they’re gonna be best friends. Oh, Mary. You have no clue how obnoxious that is, do you? No, you don’t. She also drunkenly tells them that now that Obama is in the White House, it’s time for black people and white people to integrate their hair salons. I understand her point, but, seriously. That’s the key to harmony? Stacie and Ted give her that polite, pursed-lipped “Silly person, please” look that Clair Huxtable used to give Cliff.
Stacie gets to return the favor as a hostess next, as she is getting Janet Jackson’s chef to come over and give a cooking lesson. It’s so cute that she and her friend pretend that there is any question about the guest list – “Should we invite Cat?” Of course you’re inviting Cat. That’s in the script. Sigh.
Various catty messes ensues- Mary’s husband gets an award from the Washingtonian for being a style setter, but the presenter mispronounces his name; Lynda and stylist Paul Wharton, who has that ’80s flat-ironed black man’s hair like half of Prince’s band used to sport, get catty about how she missed Michaele’s polo event, which she never really intended on going to in the first place. They’re both foul.
Speaking of foul – Cat shows up at Stacie’s party intending to explain how awesome she is, whether or not she has to insult everyone in the place. Whatever. She’s fabulous, right!? She sticks her nose up at the sake being served, but does score some points with the shots that Charles took of Joe Biden that afternoon. And I am not kidding when I say that they are sexy. Well, Joe Biden sexy. He’s all smooth in the back of a limo with his shades, on the phone. Very GQ. Go Joe!
Unfortunately for Cat, she can’t stop name-dropping there. She talks about how President Obama “lived our whole romance” through his association with Charles, even though she’s never met the President. Stacie sort of notes that and moves on. Cat, however, does not – Seems she’s mad at Obama because he didn’t RSVP to her wedding or come to her husband’s award ceremony.
Stacie interviews that the president, you know, may have been busy running the country or something, which has not occurred to Cat. Cat’s one of those “I gotta be real” people, whose realness supercedes politeness, or propriety, or other people’s feelings. She’s sort of a jerk, which we find out when the chef mentions that he cooks for Tyra Banks.
“Poor you,” you says.
SCREECH!
Apparently, Cat is not a Tyra fan, which she demonstrates with an unfortunate imitation that involves a bit of Ebonics and some stereotypical neck toss. And here’s the thing – that’s exactly what Tyra does, so Cat’s not wrong about her, and about her ridiculousness. Stacie and her friends get offended because she is trashing two prominent people they like, who happen to be black. Personally, I don’t think Cat’s racist. She’s just clueless, You have the right to dislike Tyra Banks’ imaage, but it’s rude to say that in front of someone who knows her personally, when you don’t. Rude, rude, rude. And while the Obamas should have RSVP’d to her wedding, she sounds like an idiot grousing about it, because he’s busy. A lot. Let it go.
So to review: Mary doesn’t trust her kid and thinks we’d all be better off if we went to the same hairdressers. Lynda’s phony, with a hot boyfriend. Michaele is a clueless, sweet ninny. Stacie is not a fan of Cat’s. Cat is a fan of Cat’s.
Coming up next – Party crashing at the White House! Saltiness! More Ted Gibson! Lots of wine drinking if I’m gonna get through this season!

We first meet Mary, granddaughter of famous broadcaster Arthur Godfrey, and her family, as they prepare for their cutesy family portrait. Mary says she is a life-long Washingtonian, although she now lives in the Virginia suburbs. I cry foul on that – you don’t live in D.C. You live in Virginia. Don’t get all proprietary about being a lifelong resident of a city if you fled to the burbs.
Stacie, our next housewife, agrees with me on the suburbanites who claim to live in the city they bounced from. Coming up next – Party crashing at the White House! Saltiness! More Ted Gibson! Lots of wine drinking if I’m gonna get through this season!
Sonja Steps In For Ramona To Host "Colors of Hope"
Post from Page Six of the NY Post.

Ramona Singer promised to host the Colors of Hope Hamptons Gala for AIDS Ophans in Africa today in Water Mill, but she backed down after organizers repeatedly tried to reach the "Real Housewives of NYC" star. Her assistant responded to organizers two weeks ago with a slew of excuses why she wouldn't be in the Hamptons. But when it was announced Thursday that her castmate Sonja Morgan agreed to step in as a host, Singer called minutes later to ask to be added to the guest list. Singer told us she never agreed to host: "It's wrong. I never lie. I say it straight."
Michaele Not Missed At The Madison Hotel Premiere Party
Post from The Hollywood Gossip.

Whoopi Goldberg is not the only person to despise Michaele Salahi.
Just one episode into The Real Housewives of D.C. on Bravo, the reality star's castmates are already talking badly about her and even making threats about future seasons.
After Michaele and husband Tareq didn't appear at the show's season premiere party yesterday, Catherine Ommanney said: "I don’t want to see them; I don't want to talk to them. I don’t want to be associated with them."
Would she return for a second season if the Salahis were still part of the cast? "Absolutely, categorically, no. I'll have to have therapy the rest of my life to get over being associated with her."
Another Housewife, Lynda Erkiletian, shared a similar sentiment with Us Weekly: "I was very happy to hear that they had their own premiere party and would be attending that and not torturing us any more than they have in the past."
Meanwhile, Mary Schmidt Amons takes the side of Goldberg when it comes to the tiff between Salahi and The View. She says:
"I don’t think the Salahis are really good at saying they’re sorry to anyone. It’s not my place to judge. All I know is that the accusations coming forward from the Salahi camp are completely false. It was on camera, a 200-person audience - Whoopi was just trying to encourage her to get back on task to the question, just get back to the question and answer the question."
Hmmm... remember when Stacie Scott Turner said this version of the Housewives franchise would focus on sophistication over fighting? That was funny.
