Vote For Bethenny

From The Huffington Post.

HuffPost's Game Changers series celebrates 100 innovators, visionaries, and leaders in 12 categories who, whether working in the spotlight or under the radar, are changing how we look at the world and the way we live in it. We salute them for their willingness to look at things and take the risk of saying, "I think I have a better way."

Now it's up to you to pick the Ultimate Entertainment Game Changer. Click through the slideshow below, get the lowdown on why we chose each Game Changer, then VOTE for your favorite! We'll reveal your picks in October.

Changed the game by ... parlaying a reality show gig into a successful business, two New York Times bestsellers, and a TV show of her own. The 39-year-old Frankel first arrived on television screens in 2005 on "The Apprentice," which she leveraged into two Bravo shows: a starring role on "The Real Housewives of New York City," and then her own show "Bethenny's Getting Married?" More vulnerable and saner than her fellow housewives, she has been open about her past struggles with eating disorders and emerged as a natural food guru whose books and Skinny-Girl products fly off the shelves. In March, she got married and in May she gave birth to Bryn, a baby girl. She’s living proof that independent women can push against stereotypes and harness the reality television fame machine for their own designs.

Fun fact: Bethenny's new show shattered Bravo records; the premiere, which attracted more than 2 million viewers, was the most-watched debut in the network's history.

Ramona Says One Or Two Women Will Join The RHONY

Article from People.

Eunice Oh with reporting by Jeffrey Slonim
Bethenny Frankel got married, had a baby and documented it on her own Bravo reality show. But the Housewife isn’t forgetting about her roots: she’s going to be re-joining the Real Housewives of New York City next season, according to one of her costars.

“Bethenny will come on a little bit. We need a Bethenny moment,” Ramona Singer tells PEOPLE about the show’s upcoming fourth season, adding that the other women –- Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin, Sonja Morgan and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps -– “have been renewed.”

In June, Frankel said she didn’t see herself returning as a Housewife unless there were a few key changes. De Lesseps at the time also said she was unsure about her future with the hit Bravo show.

But now it looks like the seven women won’t be alone.

“One or two new castmates” will be joining the crew, says Singer -– but that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be more drama.

“I think we’re going to have some good energy,” she said on Sunday while sitting front row at the Rebecca Taylor show during New York Fashion Week. “And I’m not going to let any bad energy come into the show.”

Bravo, meanwhile, wouldn’t comment on any casting discussions. “No decisions have been made for the fourth season,” a Bravo rep says.

Teresa's In Touch COVER

Article from In Touch Weekly.

Before she became a household name thanks to her star-making turn on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa was just your average Jersey girl. In the new issue of In Touch Weekly Teresa opens up about her whirlwind romance with childhood crush, Joe Giudice and shares never-before-seen photos from their family album.

For Teresa Giudice, the past few months have been the roughest of roller-coaster rides. Now a household name, thanks to her star-making turn on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa saw it all marred by the shock of learning that she and her husband, Joe, were $11 million in debt - and needed to file for bankruptcy. And as if her financial turmoil wasn't enough, the 37-year-old mom has, in recent weeks, been subject to a slew of insults and unsavory rumors - including talk that Joe has fathered a love child with her sister-in-law and an embarrassing article in Steppin' Out magazine, in which fellow Housewife - and arch-enemy - Danielle Staub compared her physically to "Cornelius from Planet of the Apes."

Teresa admits that, emotionally, this has been the most difficult period of her life. "First the bankruptcy thing and then all the rumors," she tells In Touch in an exclusive interview. "It's like people have nothing better to do - it's pretty sad." But as upset as she's been by it all, Teresa remains strong. And she credits her four children with keeping her that way. "I mean look at them, they're just amazing," she says of her daughters, Gia, 9, Gabriella, 6, Milania, 5, and Audriana, 1. "They're just so beautiful, and they make me happy. I live for being a mom."

Danielle Says Dina Still Hounds Her

But they're not exactly exchanging pleasantries...

"Dina [Manzo] texts me," Staub told me the other day. "Yep, Dina—who's not even on the Housewives anymore. She's hanging for dear life. Shut the f--k up, Dina!"

Uh-oh!

"She's threatening me," Staub claimed. "She's an idiot. I don't answer them."

Manzo begs to differ. "I left for a reason to get her out of my life," she said. "I wish she would just do the same and move on."

Staub also said that she was hospitalized during season two when she was writing her autobiography, The Naked Truth. She said rehashing her troubled younger years took a toll on her. "I got to write my book, which was extremely healing and difficult, but there were times when I just got sick," she said. "When you're I was hospitalized for three days, but for three months I was very ill. It was all my intestines and my head hurt. I didn't feel good."

But now, despite last season's hair-tugging drama and raucous reunion, Staub insists she's all good. HollywoodLife.com reported this morning that she's signed on to host Social, a Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous-like show for WealthTV.

"I think I'm better than them," she said referring to the other Housewives. "They think they're better than me by calling me garbage? Um, no! And I am way, way more comfortable with myself than any of them will ever be—collectively."

Bravo Did Not Gag Michaele And Tareq From Talking About The WH Dinner

Article from Zap2It.

By Jethro Nededog
It's very seldom that Bravo breaks its usual wall of silence when it comes to news items, especially when it comes to the "Real Housewives" franchise.

Something, though, has pushed the right buttons. Michaele and Tareq Salahi's book, "Cirque du Salahi" was released along with allegations from its author.
"On attorney's advice, and because of their 'iron-clad' contracts with Bravo," the book's author, Diane Dimond, says. "The Salahis felt they could not defend themselves -- not even when called before a committee of the United States Congress. Only now, that the danger of a possible federal indictment has faded with time, do they feel they can tell their side of the story."

In response, the network issued a statement Wednesday (Sept. 15) saying, "The notion that the Salahis have been barred under their contracts relating to "The Real Housewives of D.C." from speaking about their attendance at the White House State Dinner is simply not true."

It continues, "From the time of the incident until now, Bravo and Half Yard Productions, the producer of the series, have consistently and repeatedly stated to the Salahis and their representatives that they were free to speak to press, law enforcement, Congress and anyone else about attending the State Dinner. Indeed, they have given multiple press interviews on that very subject."

We can understand why Bravo would want to make their stand on this very clear. If it were true, it could be considered interfering with a federal investigation. But in fact, the couple have spoken to several press outlets about the alleged gate-crashing, including HBO's "Real Sports," the "Today" show, and Zap2it.

"We were invited. We gave our I.D.'s. They announced our names. We were happy to be there," Michaele Salahi told us in a video interview.

Do you think the Salahis are throwing the network under the bus to sell books?

Jill And Kelly Have Been Very Kind To Danielle

Post from Radar Online.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey's favorite villainess Danielle Staub is stealing the spotlight for herself -- when it comes to her own show, that is.

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Staub says her former castmates will not be welcomed on her upcoming spin-off.

Photo: Wenn

All the season's banter, backstabbing and bullying has finally gotten to Danielle and she's had enough so don't expect to see Caroline, Teresa and Jacqueline on her new television venture.

"Not from my franchise, no!" she told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

"It's mine, it's all mine. I made peace at the end of the reunion by my departure and it was my idea to depart. It was a peaceful time for me and I wanted to leave and I was just trying to say goodbye from a 12-hour shooting day... but it really marked for me my new beginning and I'm really excited about it because when you close one door, not just another one opens but so many more."

Despite getting lunged at by Teresa within minutes of the reunion and walking off set at least two times, in a surprise gesture Danielle hugged it out with the ladies.

"It was something I did because at one point Jacqueline and I were very good friends. But the rest of them are fair game. Teresa, I just couldn't get her to shut up. She was still going at it, so I genuinely hugged her because it calms my children if my children are upset and I could see she was getting upset again, so I genuinely hugged her because I was done.

"...And I wanted to hug Jacqueline and just say goodbye to her and whispered in her ear and tell her I'm okay and I'm happy, so I'm moving on and I want you to know that there is no more on this and I love you and I will still love you... It wasn't a way of me saying I want a friendship with you, it was my way of saying goodbye and I'm moving on."
So the other New Jersey housewives may not be getting any screen time, but Danielle does have her favorites from the women on other Bravo shows.

"I don't have a problem with any of the other cast members in any of the other franchises except for the ones that were on my own," she said. "I haven't watched Beverly Hills yet [but] now that I have met someone [from the show] I will be watching.

"And Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon, they've reached out to me on several occasions with very, very, very kind hearts when I've been under fire and befriended me and they've also vindicated me in situations knowing that [there] were lies going on because the other women on my cast had gone to them... they were my favorites because they just kept it real and a lot of people aren't real and don't tell the truth."

A shocking, long-held secret about Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi is being revealed in a new book about her: "I have multiple sclerosis," she admits.

The reality star, perhaps best known as one of the alleged White House party crashers, is the subject of Cirque du Salahi, written by Diane Dimond.

Salahi, 44, tells PEOPLE why she kept her diagnosis of the potentially crippling nervous system disorder quiet for 17 years. "No one wants to be seen as sickly," she explains. "And I didn't want to be pitied."

Caroline Does Not Know Who The New Housewife Is

Interview from Wonder Wall.

Caroline Manzo: No Idea Who the New 'Housewives' Might Be
By Drew Mackie, with reporting by Paris Hampton

"Real Housewives" star Caroline Manzo made the short trip from New Jersey to take in Fashion Week -- not only as a spectator but also as a model. Wonderwall scored an exclusive interview with Manzo at the Sachika fashion show. Here are Caroline's thoughts on hitting the runway for the first time, spring fashion and, of course, who will be on the next season of "Real Housewives of New Jersey."

Photo:FilmMagic
Wonderwall: Is this your first time walking?
Caroline Manzo: Yes!

WW: How do you feel?
CM: I'm not even thinking about it! I'm just going to go out there and walk. That's it! I'll worry about it when I get there. I'm sure when I hit the entrance where I have to start walking, my legs will probably turn to Jell-O. But I will walk, turn around and come back!

WW: Do you have a favorite supermodel?
CM: I admire them all. I think they're all beautiful and gorgeous. I saw Iman the other day, and she is beyond fabulous.

WW: Who else are you excited to see at Fashion Week?
CM: I saw Chris Benz. I did a lot of charity work this week, so I haven't had a chance to do any fashion work.

WW: Is there a shoe or bag you're coveting?
CM: Jimmy Choo is my favorite ever. Anything by Jimmy Choo I love. I am a bag whore, so I have millions of bags and shoes. Whatever makes me happy at the moment, that's what I chose.

WW: What do you think of the other celeb lines?
CM: I've heard of JWoww's, but I haven't seen it. I actually have a few things of Gwen Stefani's. I like her line. I think it's fun. Bebe -- I'm too old to wear Bebe. There should be a Bebe 40-plus line. A hot mama line!

WW: What can you tell us about Danielle Staub during the reunion? Was the hug at the end real or fake?
CM: Well, clearly my reaction and my opinion still holds true. I didn't feel it was sincere. If the other girls felt they needed to do that for themselves, that's fine. I respect that. I am what I am.

WW: Where is Teresa Giudice?
CM: I have no clue where Teresa is.

WW: How is the bankruptcy?
CM: Status quo. Teresa is strong. She handles it well, and I give her a lot of credit. She's a pretty strong person. I wish her the best.
WW: So Danielle is off the show?
CM: As I understand it, yeah. We know there's a season three, but we don't know who's in it. True story!

Will Bravo Block Danielle's New Shows?

Article from Babble.

by:ebrady
For those of you hoping for a Danielle Staub spinoff show, it may not happen if Bravo TV execs have anything to say about it.

This week has been full of wild theories of what the now unemployed Real Housewives of New Jerseystar Danielle Staub will do now that she has been given her official walking papers from the hit reality show, but it may all be a no-go.

Danielle has reportedly been shopping around everything from a spinoff reality show to a Oprah-esque talk show. Apparently Danielle hasn’t read through her Housewives contract which bars her from working for any other network for several years without Bravo’s written permission. (Given the legal battle Bravo put on when Project Runway jumped ship, they most certainly aren’t going to let her waltz off to another channel without a fight!)

“These ladies think they are superstars now and that something like a contract doesn’t matter,” an insider tells Popeater about the situation. “Well, think again. Bravo isn’t in the business of creating stars and then letting them go to other networks. That just isn’t going to happen.”

So unless Danielle heals some of the bridges over at Bravo don’t expect to see her returning to reality TV anytime soon

Bethenny Will Only Return To The RHONY If Legally Obligated

Article from Hollyscoop.

by: Bridget Daly
Bethenny Frankel is in a pretty good position right now. She’s been successful in distancing herself from Real Housewives of New York, although she’s still technically contracted to them.

Photo: Getty

With her own reality show, Frankel has been able to break free and stay in the spotlight at the same time. We’ll be seeing more of her on Bethenny Getting Married, which has gotten picked up for another season.

Bethenny told Hollyscoop, “People love my show because I am telling the truth. It is what it is…that’s my real life…every minute, nothing sensationalized.”

She added that it’s “not scripted at all,” and what you see on the screen is what’s really happening in her, Jason, and baby Bryn’s lives.

As for Real Housewives, as Hollyscoop previously reported that Frankel will be returning to the show for the fourth season. But Bethenny continued to play coy with us, saying, “I wont go back to Real Housewives unless I have to. If I am legally obligated. I don’t know--they haven’t started yet, so I have to see.”

Since Bethenny has had so much success in the reality world, we couldn’t help but ask if she would ever consider doing Dancing With the Stars. “There’s been so many seasons of it,” she told us, adding, “Maybe something else like it,” she teased.

Interesting! We love Bethenny, and think she’s in her reality prime right now! She should continue to ride the wave as long as possible!

Danielle's Motion To Dismiss Will Be Heard September 27th

Article from Radar Online.

Warning: This story contains graphic details
Real Housewife of New Jersey Caroline Manzo has been dragged into her cast mate Danielle Staub's ongoing court battle with her ex-husband, and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive document detailing her involvement with the case.

The red-headed NJ Housewife who has openly talked about her disdain for Danielle on - and off - the show was recently deposed in a Federal defamation lawsuit filed against Danielle by her ex-husband, Kevin Maher.

At one point during her deposition, Manzo recounted the tales Danielle told her about her sordid married past in which Danielle claimed to have hid from Maher in a tree, claimed she was forced by him into prostitution, and how she feared for her life.

"She depicted him as a monster," Manzo recalled during her July 22 deposition. "She depicted him as someone who would beat her daily, as someone that put her in the hospital due to the beatings, I want to say on more than one occasion."

Manzo was deposed on behalf of Maher in an effort to help prove his defamation claim against Danielle. Maher claims the former Real Housewife of New Jersey star made damning allegations to other people about him, including that he raped her on broken glass, hanged or shot her dog, and that he inserted a gun into her and played Russian roulette.

Under oath, Manzo recalled statements allegedly made by Danielle and they appear to confirm Maher's claims. "She told a story about being raped on broken glass. One incident, she said that he shot her dog. And then another incident she claimed that he hanged her dog. I'm confused as to whether this all was at the same moment of the rape on the glass with the dog, and inserted a pistol up her vagina and played like a Russian roulette."

Manzo continued, "She claimed to have been hiding in a tree at some point, afraid that when he came home he would find her and beat her. She claimed to be the victim of prostitution due to his demands, that he put her into that world, again depicting him as an absolute monster. And the only reason she stayed with him, because she feared for her life if she left."

"Again it was just a picture of an absolute monster, that she was under his control... anything that she did during the course of her relationship with Kevin Maher was not of her own freewill; it was more or less a domineering person."

Danielle has filed a motion with the court to dismiss the case which will be heard on September 27.

Danielle Starts Taping Her New Show Thursday

Article from Hollywood Life.

By:Chloe Melas
Danielle has moved on from The Real Housewives of New Jersey to not one but TWO new reality show spin-offs and we’ve got exclusive details right from Danielle!

Danielle Staub has revealed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com the title of her new show — and what it’s all about!
We spoke to the reality vixen Sept. 13, at OK! magazine’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration at NYC club Avenue. The mom-of-two had a camera crew in tow when she finally told us EXCLUSIVELY that her show is called Social and it will air on the WealthTV network.

“I’m replacing Robin Leach basically, of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, but with a twist,” she says. “There will be more socializing with the rich and famous celebrities and we’ll show how they give back as well.”
WealthTV is a network aimed at high-net-worth viewers with shows titled “Tales of Kings and Castles” and “Wealth in the Air.” And it’s only available on high-definition TV. (So wear great makeup, Danielle!)

Danielle, 48, says she tapes the first episode this Thursday — and she will do it for 26 straight weeks.
“Each week I’ll have a different celebrity or billionaire,” she excitedly tells us. “I’ll be filming anywhere from New Jersey all the way to India. We have a lot of celebrities lined up but I can’t tell you their names yet. Lori Michaels [her rumored girlfriend] will be a part of this too.”

But the reality star was quick to tell us that Social is just one of the shows she’s working on.
“My spinoff will be introduced very soon as well,” she says. “I’ll be doing two shows that are intertwined and my kids will be on both shows.”
Danielle wouldn’t tell us the exact name of the second show but she did tell HollywoodLife.com that ABC approached her with 10 different possible names.

“The funniest suggestions was My Two Moms,” she says even though she wouldn’t reveal if ABC was the official network. “You’ll have to keep watching to figure it out [her relationship with Lori] but I’m so attracted to her … she’s just like me but only more manly!
